I just bought this tough little travel bag. I'm on the go quite a lot, and bouncing back and forth between islands in the Caribbean. The material is perfect for when I get caught in those tropical showers. Sometimes I'm traveling by dinghy. This bag can handle the elements. Size-wise, it is best for a weekend traveler, but I'm a minimalist so it works for me...tank tops, flip flops and my favorite fins for snorkeling.
Overall, it is a perfect fit for me and my lifestyle.
I'm also a big fan of the little red wheels. ;)

My wife and I already had one of these and it's around the only bag the airlines haven't managed to destroy, including the larger northface bag which have the corners worn through. As such we have purchased a second bag so we have one each. Perfect size for a long weekend away without having to worry about not packing anything. Bright colors make it easy to find at the baggage claim, only downside is that it gets dirty very quick which isn't really a fault of the bag. If it gets left on the tarmac in the rain the stuff inside doesn't get wet which is good.

having a soft top shell allows you to fit more and squeeze it in small luggage compartments on full flights.

Bought this mainly for a two week vacation and it was great. It help all the clothes and towels I needed for a two week long beach trip. Since then, I have taken it college with me and use it primarily to bring home dirty clothes. It is a great, sturdy bag that feels great when pulling it. The wheels back the entire bag roll nice and feel extra sturdy.

Great carry-on bag. Fit everything I needed for a 3 day trip. Fit perfectly in the overhead compartment. The handle and wheels were easy to use and high quality.

Great product! You can tell a lot of thought went into making it. The material is extremely durable to include the extended handle. It's a lot more spacious than I though it would be. The side compartment zipper can be a little difficult to zip up around the corners, but it isn't an issue.

I travel globally on a weekly basis. Approximately 220-250 nights per year, 250k-300k air miles and insist on North Face luggage for all my needs. Their warranty is amazing, the product quality is even better. I own 5 pieces and use them weekly with multiple flights per week. I wont use anything else. I also love, they are easy to identify in the sea of cookie cutter bags on the bag claim.

This is great for weekend trips and longer trips too. I purchased this for 8 day trip to Northern Italy. Small but mighty. Held all my gear and clothes with no problem and fits in overhead on planes.

Easy to use. Wheels role great. I got one for my wife in grey also. Great craftsmanship. I have been through a lot of bags in the years and this one seem like it will stand up to airport beatings.

Bought this prior to a long trip to Alaska. Tons of room, water proof, wheels make it an easy roller in airports and docks. Easy to pick out on the baggage claim!

I recently purchased the new 30" Rolling Thunder in ASPHALT GREY/BLAZING YELLOW. I purchased this bag to be a subset of the Large Base Camp Duffel....I like the idea of rolling instead of carrying. I will be traveling domestically with this bag as well as internationally. The ONLY two nit-picky things I would change are 1. For the retractable handle to have once button instead of pushing both to activate and 2. Instead of two wheels have Four multi-directional wheels for easy travel throughout airports and hotels. Other than that this is a near perfect domestic / international travel bag.

I purchased this after buying the largest Rolling Thunder and love both bags. I haul my scuba gear in the larger one and my electronics and sensitive gear in the smaller Rolling Thunder. I've taken it on two trips so far and am very happy with it. The quality is solid and it seems well put together. I highly recommend this bag!

What a bag! It stores so much stuff and the extra pockets are great to hold the stuff you may need to get to easily. Super durable material and the color combo makes it easy to spot on a luggage carousal. the wheels are heavy duty and roll smoothly. The capacity allows my wife and I to pack one bag for our trips. Only issue is bag is on the heavy side so the airlines weight limit comes into play.

Flew with this suitcase as my checked bag and my TNF Base Camp Duffel as a carry on. The suitcase is fairly heavy on its own, but it's due to the hard-shell back which is extremely durable and makes the extra bit of weight worth it. I over filled the suitcase with a sleeping bag, tent poles, and my clothes and it was still under 45 lbs. It's a great checked bag and I plan on using it till it falls apart, if that ever happens. I also got a lot of compliments on my luggage.

Used for a week business trip so far, excellent! I already have the large and medium Base Camp duffels, plus a Recon (also perfect hand-luggage) backpack. This is excellent, even better than the basic duffel. Great wheels & handle, like the top pocket, smooth runner and lightweight. Time will tell how resilient it is, but so far another perfect addition to the line. Expect I'll pick up an overhead-compatible one soon as this is too long for carry-on.... but it does pack a huge amount, so you'd likely check anyway for suitable trips.
Hope nobody else gets the yellow and black as it stands-out great on the carousel.

I travel Asia and need something that will hold a lot for extended trips. The soft sides allow for the easy fit in and out of cars and train travel when in different countries. The waterproof material is an added bonus when traveling year round.
