It's pretty big. Probly dosent automatically qualify for oversized luggage but it starts off weighing ~8 Lb.

Bought this for my college freshman for flying back and forth to college in Utah. Holds tons of gear. Looks great. Looks like it will last forever. Solid purchase.

I love this suitcase so much that I actually bought a second one! I have never owned a high quality suitcase and it certainly makes a difference. It's amazing how much you are able to fit in the bag.

I own the 22" and the 30" and they're both great bags. Can't go wrong. But the 30"/80L is pretty big and probably more than is needed for a week long trip without gear (ie: great for ski trips where you need to bring helmet and boots, otherwise a tad large). Please make a 60L version for those of us that need more than a weekend bag (22") but don't always need a bunch of extra room for gear.

I have been through several "durable" bags that I use to travel to remote locations. Most have lasted for a couple trips, then required replacement due to failures of weak points in design. I was willing to spend more money on this because it appears failures on other manufacturer's have been prevented in this design. For 3/4 of the year I need to have some form of Arctic Gear with me, which can be bulky. I've been so impressed with the 36" Rolling Thunder that I'm now planning on purchasing the 30" for the period of the year I can travel with less gear.

Secret* This bag fits perfectly into the curvature of an overhead bin. In fact, the more you stuff it, the better it fits; wheels in please.

Gave the gift to my daughter who has a young family. They need to carry a lot "stuff" for hockey and skiing. The bag will be a big help- particularly when she can use the wheels!

Loved the large capacity and easy access; I purchased this bag to replace a previous bag which was unfortunately discontinued (I believe it was a rollbag called an "Explorer"). While this new bag has some of the features of the old one, it does not have them all. This said, while the old one is no longer available, this one can "do the job."

I use my luggage weekly, multiple flights per week. The North Face luggage is the ONLY luggage that has help up and backed by an amazing warranty.

I travel minimum once a month for 2 + weeks at a time for business. I pack everything in one bag. My last rolling duffle lasted over 18 years, well over 100+ international trips. I shopped long and hard in search of a replacement. This bag was the clear winner and I plan on using this for many, many years to come. It's well built, strong, and practical. The fact that it is also a very handsome bag that stands out at baggage claim is icing on the cake.

Worth the money! North Face bags last forever. My 16 year old son has, to this day, the same North Face backpack I got him for the first day of Kindergarten!

Great product. Flight attendant career. Lots of storage for smaller carryon bag. Rolls nice and easy through airports. Fits on most planes with ease.

At 59 linear inches, this is well over the 45 inch maximum for carry-on bags on most airlines. It is instead very close to the common 62 inch maximum for checked bags. People commenting to say this is a great carry-on, please check your airline's rules.

My daughter took my first bag I purchased to college and needed to replace it. Love the bags versatility and red wheels...easy to spot on the carousel!
