I own a few of these baselayers and they are awesome! Extremely light and warm, it wicks away moisture leaving u dry and comfortable. For me, the fit is perfect. Like a second skin without restrictions. Highly recommend.

I've had my Rho AR for close to 10 years now and still consistently wear it in the winter. It is super warm and doesn't get used for half the year. It has a great trim fit with a lot of taper to the waist, the stretch is nice too. It is a little warm for any high-output activities but works great for hiking or resort snowboarding. The pocket is kinda useless but adds a bit of a nice touch. Works pretty well for climbing in the winter (below freezing), and the material is durable enough that I don't have to worry about pulling any threads or wearing through the material. Be careful not to put it in the dryer or wash on warm/hot or you will lose a bit of the cozy factor.

This is my second Rho AR zip top. And I had to wait to order it!!! There were nine in stock for several months. Love the fit, the warmth and freedom of movement. Use it to walk the dog on colder days under a shell and wear it xc skiing. Am 5'4", 130 # and wear a medium. Fits perfectly.

I bought this for a base layer option while boarding. I will admit, it was thicker then I thought it would be but it is super soft and comfortable. I wear it under my shell jacket while boarding, it is very flexible and breathable without making too warm while on the slopes. It is the perfect base layer. True to size chart and fits well.

I bought this primarily for hiking and mountainbiking. It is the best base layer I've ever owned and definitely the warmest. It breathes better than I expected considering the thickness. I usually prefer wool in base layers bit this piece feels absolutely great against the skin. This is a base layer for truly cold conditions. Above freezing it's probably overkill.

Have the light blue and burgundy. Wear them as a second layer all winter. Compact for under jackets and super just hanging around the house. Need them back in more colours!!!

I bought this as an extra warm mid layer for skiing and it does not disappoint. It's kept me warm on dog walks in -30 and the fit and quality is great. I sized up to a large from my usual medium to allow more layering underneath

Absolutely adore this base layer. Prefect for sub zero skiing and still feels stylish and thick enough to be worn on its on for aprs ski beverage. Have worn this skiing, dozens of times and even on 6+ mile winter runs and it still looks new and has no odor retention. Fabric feels thicker than some base layers but I like that feature

Being an avid skier/snowboarder, I always like to have a base layer to keep me warm, with minimal layers on top of that when I ride. I have always used hot chili's brand in the past until my friend turned me on to Arcteryx. This base layer shirt immediately felt a million times warmer, yet had that breathability to it. It's superior quality over anything I've ever owned and super comfortable. I will for sure be buying the bottoms for the next season of riding. I would recommend Arcteryx to anyone who loves the highest of quality outdoor clothing. Thanks Arcteryx!

This was the first high end base layer I ever wore, and has remained my favorite. And after 25+ years, it's still pretty much like new. The only problem is that I gained 40 pounds after a knee replacement and lock down, so it was time to buy another one in a larger size. And you know what? Unlike most products, this hasn't changed. It's still the best by far. Super comfy. Super breathable. Super good looking. The more that things change, the more they stay the same...and that's a good thing for the RHO AR. A classic that all should experience.

I have a ton of Arcteryx stuff. Love the clothing they make. I hafta say the Rho AR though is possibly the most unusual piece in my assemblage given how light it feels, yet how crazy warm it it keeps me. I have tons of warm tops made from various poly, cotton, merino fabrics. Some are pretty heavy duty insulation too, for deep cold. The Rho AR is pretty much my favorite outta all of em if I feel chilly. I am quite surprised how well it retains heat given how light it is. I mean it's a WOW factor. It also has a perfect cut, is super stretchy and insanely soft. It doesn't do well for me during moderate physical output as there are pieces that breathe better under those circumstances. But for static settings or light output the Rho AR is the bees knees for sure. Very highly recommended!

The Rho AR is my first purchase from the brand. The item is described as an expedition weight base layer and aerobics mid layer. My inclination is that this is a mid weight layer and in that regard it exceeds expectations. I would suggest that using this as a base layer for moderate to high energy activities is going to cause you to sweat at a higher rate than you would expect and I would suggest using a light weight wicking layer worn underneath if this your intention. Moving to the quality, a number of outdoor clothing brands have switched to Far East production facilities. I have lost count of respected companies who have done this as a cost saving exercise, only to see their review scores plummet because of quality issues. The AR Rho is made in El Salvador. When paying high-end prices, you expect quality. In this regard the Rho AR does not disappoint. My intended use is for an expedition cruise to the high Arctic in 2022 and trying to find a quality Polartec mid-layer has been challenging. I read the product descriptions and reviews carefully and then made my choice. Bottom line, I will look to Arcteryx in future when looking for quality outdoor clothing.

I like the fit, it's a bit longer which I need. The inside is very soft and cozy. I've been wearing it with another thin wool under layer and it's keeping me very warm in 32 degree temps. Glad I purchased it.

I had gotten used to be cold when skiing although I was wearing a thermal class base layer from another brand. I adopted this year the Rho top and bottom and they are super warm to the extend that I ended up sweating a bit in conditions where I would normally have felt cold. They did dry very quickly though. Warmly recommended for those who had feeling cold. I am 1.87m and weight around 80kg and as usual M size fits me well.

I love this piece for cold days! It fits close to the skin, so if you are between sizes you may wish to go up, particularly if you want to be able to put a t-shirt under it. This piece is very warm.

I am buying more! I wore this for almost a week straight when our temps were single digits. Layered with an undershirt it was perfect for playing outside. When temps came up to the 20's as a single layer it was perfect. It is soft against my skin and totally livable. It is true to size.

Wears like iron. My go to shirt. Layers well for outdoors or by itself in doors in my drafty house. I have one and buying another. Top quality stitching and zipper.
