You guys have had this pack for years, and it needs a refresh or at least more colors! I love my Aerios 10. Used it for lighting fast hikes and trail runs, up and down many peaks. But you need to update it. the side pockets are too small, to the point of being unusable. And maybe add one more organizing pocket? But besides that I love the simplicity of the bag. I love that it doesn't "look" like a running pack, but is not as overly complicated as some day packs get. And the straps and back mesh are my favorite in the industry. Please bring back the 15 litter version! As well as more colors! My wife wants an Aerios, she just doesn't want "another black backpack."

I have no cons for this bag. I use it for mainly running and sometimes hiking. Someone said it wasn't water proof but I've run with this thing in down pours with my wallet, keys, and cellphone in it and they have survived just fine. I even use it for my winter running in -40 and it holds up very well. I've had it for 2.5 years now. Definitely buying another one!

great all around tight form active bag, sticks to the body like is was part of you; can forget you are even wearing it. while it is small enough to fit under a jacket, the big con is a sort of warning, this pack as zero, i mean absolutely no resistance to water and if you are in the rain, be sure to put your electronics and documents in plastic bags and bring a rain cover. i nearly ruined my passport that was in the inner security pocket when it rained, and that is inside the main compartment and on the back of the pack...

So far I've only used it for trail running and it's made for the job. Easy access to my light jacket and energy gels. My 3L Camelback is a tad too big, but it works :)

This is an excellent streamlined, comfortable, and light daypack. For over three years I have used this pack for geologic mapping in the desert mountains and it is my favorite pack. I had to write a review because of how useful and comfortable it is. I even bought a red one for my wife. I have used it mountain biking, hiking, climbing, hunting, scouting, mapping, and it is even good for disc golf (it is so comfortable I don't even take the pack off to throw). Here is a list of the features that I like that I now use as a standard: - The fabric is very durable but soft and quiet. The straps too are made of another very durable and soft fabric and they are the most comfortable straps I have seen. I have used and abused the this bag by setting it down on rough rocks so I can take a break or get some stuff. The back panel material (it is a stiff but flexible mesh molded plastic) is very comfortable on my back and even in +100 degree temps, this bag is the best at keeping my back cool. - I really like the bungee cords on the back and I use them all the time. A fantastic minor detail (I have to point out their attention to detail) is that they put clamps on the cords so it is not a typical weave style bungee cord. In other words, if you have something like a jacket or like a field pouch (which the cords hold very well) in the bungee cords, you can unhook the hook so you can insert or remove your items very easily and quickly. The cords hold a few discs very well. - I really like the lower side pockets. Again the fabric they used for the pockets is soft, elastic, and very durable. I clipped a mini carabiner to the loop that holds the bungee cord and then I clip my keys in and they float in the lower side pocket beautifully. I also use the pockets for survey flagging, small rock hand sample, snacks, my folded-brim ball cap, bandana etc. (but not all at the same time, it's not that big). - All the stuff for hydration bladders is top notch and probably the best way to uses this pack but I always carry kleen kanteens. I can fit a 27 oz and 40 oz bottle in the bag with room to spare for sample bags, bulky rock samples, first aid and emergency beacons, gps, camera, packaged food etc. - Lots of attachment points if you get creative and you can personalize or adapt this bag to be your go to bag for every event. - When I am in the field working, I must go as light as possible and at 15 oz, I can pack all the goodies for a day in the field mapping and sampling in comfort and with the brilliant simplicity of the Aerios 10.

I have an Aerios 7 in lichen and an Aerios 14 in orange, had them for years and I love them. The 7 gets used on a weekly basis and has held up nicely but it's really too small, and the 14 is too big! This size would be jussst right, but why only black? Give us some nice colors please!

Bought these for my kids to wear on biking trips and on hiking trips. Wanted to empower them to hydrate as much as they wanted to without having to stop their bikes or stop to ask me to pass their water bottles while out on the trail. The straps were adjustable to fit both the 10 year old and the 6 year old. They can bring whatever they can carry on our day trips so this limits things to their essentials and whatever else they can stuff inside. My wife and I reach for the packs for short bike rides around town as the bike lock, pump and repair kit fit nicely and still leave room for extras.

I took this for a 25km run on paved and dirt roads. I had 1.5L filled bladder and small amount of other kit. I only used the chest strap and pack has little to no bounce. Side pockets are easy to reach however I wouldnt put anything more than a powerbar/satchel in them as it would probably come out. Interior bladder section works well with a 2L and the internal pocket is suitable for small items however for a decent sized Samsung phone, things are getting very tight. Straps are comfortable and camelback feeder hole and securing points work well. Overall a very snug pack with minimal movement when running. Could do with a revision to improve a couple of focus areas.

This bag would be great if the side pockets and outside bungee cords were actually useful. The side pockets are way too small (and angled backwards), making them essentially useless because stuff just falls right out of them, so what's the point? They should be large enough to actually securely hold a water bottle at least. The bungee system on the outside seems flimsy/not secure as well; a stretchy mesh outer pocket would be way better. The bag itself is a good size and weight and the little organizer pocket inside is useful. The chest and waist straps are adjustable and removable which is great.

Initially, I fell in love with this bag. I was slightly worried about its quality as they really have managed to make it incredibly light but having had so much success with my other arcteryx packs I was happy to trust them. The packs first test was trail running Munros in Scotland for a week and it worked beautifully, it felt like you hardly had a bag on your back and the new mesh material on the side which faces your back really does keep temperatures down. I then took the bag to the Pyrnes National Park Parc national des Pyrnes where I was running for a week. Again the bag was initially fantastic. After my third day of running the bag broke. Due to the variations in altitude, I was shifting my layers throughout my runs and I had my hardshell held securely to the outside of the pack with the provided bungees. When I was reaching the bottom of one of my descents the weather closed in and a reached for my hardshell. As you can see from the pictures the straps which were designed to hold the bungee to the pack had failed in two places meaning I LOST my hardshell!. I'm sorry to say that my initial fears were correct, Arcteryx has clearly forgotten why people are happy to buy their durable products over cheaper brands and rushed the production of this pack. I will be speaking to Arcteryx directly but I just wanted to warn others not to trust the bungees!
