Purchased this backpack for a trip to California. We were planning to be walking a lot and going kayaking and I didn't want to carry a purse. I was also looking for something my husband wouldn't mind carrying. It feels very durable and after months of use shows no wear. It easily holds everything we needed with lots of little pockets to keep things separate. Water bottles, sunscreen, wallets, sunglasses and other necessities. A sweatshirt will not fit but it has the straps on the front that will hold one. It is really comfortable to carry and quite adjustable. It also has a waist strap if the bag is heavy (we never use this). On a side note with the waist strap it is very long and I found it to be annoying for the first couple of months. After studying the bag I discovered it can be pulled tight then coiled and tucked into a piece of elastic already on the band. Quite ingenious. It is shown this way in the picture. While all of these things are great and I was very happy with my purchase they are not what prompted me to write a review. I recently had surgery and have been on crutches. Unable to carry a purse this bag has been a lifesaver. It is so easy to carry and I get compliments all the time. I have the light grey with yellow stitching and it is very pretty. Looks just like the picture. Highly recommend!

This is a nice, well-made bag, but I had trouble adjusting the straps for my height (5'0"). Finally decided to send it back because I couldn't get it into the right position on my back. Also noticed that my iPhone 5 wouldn't fit in the front pocket. Other than those two things, it seems like a great bag. Might be ideal for someone else.

It's on the small side, but not tiny, just be aware. Very nice looking. I like the clip design. Comfortable.

I love this thing. It's nice looking and very comfortable. Never bulky but fits everything I need for a long hike or day out doing activities. And when you turn it around to face you, the zipper is face up which is really nice. Intelligently designed. I recommend.

This backpack was uncomfortable to wear and one of the snaps broke after only using it for 2 weeks. The only thing good about it was that it was easy to slip around your body to get something out of it. Definitely not worth the money.

This is the perfect little bag for a day hike! Plenty of room for my Platypus water bottle, snacks, book, phone, etc., and exterior straps that can be used to tie down my (light) jacket. Very comfortable, too... Makes me feel snug as a bug. The only thing I would change would be the type of closure on the cross-body strap pocket; it would be handier, to me, to have a Velcro closure than a zipper, but that's a minor issue.

I love these bags! I use this instead of a purse. It holds so much! All the straps are adjustable. I have most of the colors and these pictures stay true to them! Zappos is the best! So easy to find everything! Fast shipping! Love it!

I have Type 1 Diabetes and have to take a lot of stuff with me: insulin pump receiver, continuous glucose monitor receiver, regular blood glucose meter, water bottle, peanut butter crackers and other low food supplies, and depending upon where I am going, extra pumps and insulin. It is a lot of stuff to take along and I have had many bags over the years. I am a boy and I have grown used to the term "man purse," since I have tried many options. I have tried backpacks (too cumbersome every day, gets looks in retail environments), messenger bags (I hate switching shoulders and how when walking it hits against your leg, also cumbersome), and hand-held bags/toiletrie-type bags (masculine enough but inconvenient, prone to getting lost). This is the first that I have actually been happy to take anywhere. It is small, but it holds everything I need like a glove. It is comfortable and simple to use and I love having the convenience of swinging it around to get to what I need. I do not feel held back by it and it is surprisingly versatile. The two buckle straps on the face of the bag have proven very convenient for sweatshirts/jackets, umbrella, and water bottles. The main pocket is cavernous and can hold my notebooks, wallet, keys, and all my Diabetes supplies with room to spare. Take it from someone who has to carry and use a bag every single day. The construction feels great, it is well-designed, and very comfortable. It is highly recommended, especially for Diabetics.

This bag is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a small backpack to fit my U-bike lock, wallet, keys, and a few other essentials on days when I want to bike somewhere, but don't want to carry a big bag. It sits nicely on my back, and the extra strap keeps it from moving around while I'm biking. Plus, it's super cute!

I bought a Patagonia Atom Sling to use when I go to art fairs, music festivals, sightseeing, etc. It's the right size -- I can't over pack -- and it carries everything that I need: wallet, cosmetic bag, glasses, phone, umbrella, camera. There's room for more. It swings from me back to the front so that I can open it quickly and easily. I can maneuver through crowds without bumping into people or things. The material is high quality. Watch the video to get a better idea of the pockets and size. For me -- it's perfect.

Nicely built bag. I'm switching from an old Kavu rope swing bag and this is awesome. I can't fit as much junk in it (the outer pocket is small) but I can fit a 16o thermos, couple of small notebooks and rain jacket in the main compartment! I've had it for two weeks and loved it so far. :)

Love this backpack! Only negative is that the fabric that goes against your shirt rubs some materials causing MAJOR pilling. It was super comfortable and durable to wear as a daypack all through Europe.

I purchased this pack in Andes Blue on the recommendation of a friend in my cycling group. Small, comfortable, and lightweight enough for brief hikes and bike rides. Good amount of pockets, and a key ring clip on the inside. The small pocket on the front chest strap fits my iPhone 5 perfectly (although a larger phone would not fit; the pocket is also perfectly sized for ID, credit cards, and cash).

I LOVE this bag. It had mixed reviews, so I was septic all but it has exceeded my expectations. I am currently on a mission trip to equador and this hold all my personal items during the day. It's very comfortable and strong. It holds my water bottle and other personal items inside. I fit a tolled up sweat shirt in it during the day as well. I like the material it is made out of because it's not as flimsy as the day packs that can be rolled or folded up into itself. If your looking for a good day pack, this is the one. The green color looks exactly like it does online. Great product!

This is a great sling/purse. Adjustable to fit your body snuggly. Lots of compartments to keep your things easy to find. Will work great for a short hike...hold a water bottle and snack.

I love this bag! I bought it to take it to a trip and tried to travel light - it worked! Also I went hiking with this bag and worked out great too. (it fit my DSLR with a wallet and a phone with some extra small stuff). The buckle came loose at one point and I thought I lost one of the latches so you may want to be careful on that strap. I'm super happy to have acquired this bag!

This bag was a last minute purchase for an upcoming trip, but it was perfect for activities like hiking and sightseeing. Even though it is smaller in size (which I was looking for), it fits a lot and did not feel heavy when wearing it. The phone pocket in the front is a little small, it barely fit my iPhone5 with a case. This bag was exactly what I wanted for more active parts of travel when a purse can get uncomfortable and heavy.

Love this bag. I bought it for some upcoming travel. I'm terrible at overpacking and I wanted something that wouldn't let me bring a ton of unnecessary crap on day trips. It was big enough to carry my camera, a few of my daughter's diapers/wipes, and everything else I carry in a purse (wallet, makeup, pen & pad, etc). The straps on the back also came in handy as I used them at times to hold water bottles, sandals, and a jacket.

I bought this bag for a trip to Cabo and for Disneyland. I was very happy with it. My water bottle fits inside no problem! There is a front pocket for smaller stuff and two pockets inside the bag as well. It flips around back to front - very convenient. Love it!

I was looking for a sling bag to take on a recent trip that wasn't too big but was also able to hold daily necessities. This bag was it. It held what I needed including a water bottle. This bag was also nice because I could use it as a carry-on bag. Plus, the color was really pretty and exactly what the picture shows. Would highly recommend.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this bag. I don't understand the front pocket though. It doesn't fit my cell phone or my sunglasses. Seems like an older design for old cell phones. Otherwise, it's a good bag. Fits well if you cinch it properly.

This bag is the perfect size for carrying my U-lock, water bottle and a few other essentials on a bike ride, and it doesn't impede pedaling the way my other go-to (an otherwise great messenger bag) does. I love the small zipper compartment on the sling, too - great for keys or a flip-phone. My only minor complaint is probably specific to my short-and-busty body type: having weight in the bag slides the padded part of the sling down my back, leaving me with the unpadded extension piece cutting into my chest and shoulder. On a long walk or ride, that gets uncomfortable if I don't hitch it around every few minutes. Otherwise, this is perfect!
