However, I am having issues trying to break them in. Left foot is rubbing at the ankle and I'm not sure I will can break them in.

I live in sandals and have several pairs (Teva) of this type of shoe. Like that I can adjust the fit and the shoes pretty much do not have to be broken in.

The rubber in sole seems to get hot. Would be better if it was made out of the same material the Tanza sole is.

I've owned a pair of Terra Fi 4s for 2 years now, I'm based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and have used them on trips to Myanmar, Laos, Northern Cambodia, & Thailand. Never more than 6 weeks total / year. I'm now in Kampot, Cambodia, and the darn Spider rubber sole separated from the right sandal while visiting a Kampot Pepper plantation!...BUMMER...instant "talking sandals" - and heel. Had to use adhesive tape for a temporary fix, until getting a shoe repair guy at the Kampot market to glue the sole together again. Sure hope it holds...Teva's are not low cost to replace! Teva's are supposed to be 'bomb-proof' - we rely on them for use in remote & difficult terrain. A BUMMER to have the sole separate like this.... I've had Tevas for years, and never this problem. Is quality control going down? Have the finance guys dictated cheaper glue? C'mon, Teva, this isn't quality.

They are not as comfortable as previous TEVA sandals I've owned. They don't appear to be as durable, but time will tell.

I use my Terra Fi sandals for beach hiking and other hiking. I also wear them casually. I buy online because I know they fit my foot and are great sandals. The TerraFi4 is too different from the older models to be comfortable. The heel is narrower than in previous models and rubs uncomfortably against my foot. If you use Teva Terra Fi's beware buying without trying this on first. The heaviness of the new model makes it too clunky for casual wear, but perhaps it means the sandals will wear down more slowly when used for hiking.

Very comfortable (especially arch support), by the strap material is extremely vulnerable/weak. If I cross my legs while sitting in chair, the velcro from one sandle pulls apart the strap fabric on the other sandle. Within days, my sandle straps looked furry, with tons of inch-long fibers sticking out. Serious design/material flaw! But if you can avoid letting the sandles touch, and keep them protected from spiky vegetation like blackberry vines, they might be fine for you. I have been wearing Tevas for 25 years, and the quality seems to really be declining in recent years. I am thinking about switching to another brand.

Over the last 20 years I have purchased 4 pair of Teva Terra sandals....the first two pair lasted over 5 years of rock climbing, hiking, and general every day casual wear....the last two pairs that I have owned did not last two years...
What has happened to the quality???? I do not think that I will buy another pair....Sorry guys.

Where the straps connect to the base, is very narrow. All 4 points dug in to my foot. I've had a pair of Torin Tevas for 6+ years and they were awesome. Bought Terra Fi to replace them when they finaly wore out and Torin isn't made anymore.
Terra Fi just felt small/narrow. Not comfortable on my foot.

Shoe is to large for my set on top Kayak. The shoe does not fit between the moulded in feet notches.
I have worn them once---and now they are stored in the garage.

I had a pair of these shoes that lasted for 10 years! Loved them! But there has been a change in design and they are way too narrow for my narrow feet. Very uncomfortable. I returned them.

If your looking for the Teva’s that your used to, DO NOT BUY THESE. Although I chose to ignore the negative reviews, they are 100% accurate. Compared to past versions, these are garbage.

TERRIBLE. Worst Tevas I have ever purchased. Unbelievably uncomfortable. Teva has clearly gone way downhill. They are using some cheap fabric now that is way too thin. The front velcro strap is cut way too short. SO disappointing. I have had Tevas since 1986. I have worn my Tevas decades at a time. I am returning these and don't know that I will ever buy another pair of Tevas. I hope they pull it together and start making the quality sandal that they used to.

This $100 pair of sandals arrived with a BONEHEADED manufacturing and quality control defect.
On the left sandal, the side strap connecting front and back was twisted 180 degrees and sewn into this wrong position. Obvious on first glance.
And this was my very first try ordering from Zappos, for sports sandals for a Christmas vacation in Costa Rica. Perhaps just very bad luck, but I won't do this again.

I'm returning these sandals. The arch support is especially lacking (compared to their older models) and the footbed overall doesn't support my feet. Very disappointed.

Compared to my aging 9 year old Terra Fi sandals, the new Terra Fi 4 are very uncomfortable. The sole is hard and the straps are not as nicely cushioned as in the old sandal. Also, my wide feet simply did not fit comfortably as the new sandal is more narrow than the old one. I ended up returning the new purchase.

had my teva's for a week and fabric on both upper straps began to fray. returned them expecting a simple exchange. after a week of not hearing anything i called customer support to find out that they had credited my Visa over 2 weeks ago. Apparently they had none in stock which contradicted what customer service agent told me. To make matters worse they didn't fully credit my purchase. Kept $15 for return shipping fee. Last time i purchase anything from TEVA.

These were definitely kicked out of quality control somewhere along the line. The straps were sewn on twisted but only on one sandal. Overall quality very poor. Sent back.

These caused me painful plantar fasciitis. I have owned Teva's since the early 90's, and have always considered them comfortable and built to last. These fell way short. I believe they changed the footbed which led to the plantar fasciitis. I read similar reviews of this issue on their own website, which now have disappeared... This is the last pair I Tevas I will ever own

I have probably owned 6 pairs of Teva sandals since the 90's. These caused me painful plantar fasciitis, an issue I have never had. I believe they changed the shape of the footbed. I was extremely upset since I bucked up and bought their "premium" sandal with gel inserts. I contacted Teva customer service and was told they could do nothing for me. This is the last pair of Teva sandal I will ever buy.

Poor design for buckle that holds straps at and around ankle. Hard plastic buckle always rubs outer ankles. Very painful and causes blisters. Unable to wear sandal due to severe discomfort.
