I've needed something like these for some time now, a nicer than hiking/approach shoe that I can wear to the office with nice jeans, or for a night out when slacks and lace ups are too much. Having worn them only once my basis of opinion is limited, but right off the bat they're quite comfortable. Will need a little bit of break in and form fitting. They look great, workmanship seems to be top notch. I feel it is important too note however that I was comparing these to a pair of Allen Edmonds. As I'm a huge fan of the AE company, craftsman ship, and products I was hesitant to go outside of them, but these fit the bill better than anything AE is currently making in a chukka. And since the Trask company is also an American handcrafted company I considered it a fair trade off. WRONG... These Trask shoes are made in China. As I said, the craftsmanship on them seems to be very well done. Leather is soft and consistent in color and appearance. Stitches are even and straight. But when I pay for shoes from someone that says this: "Trask will pick quality over quantity every time. Trask seeks out the best materials—like American bison, elk, and steer. Their secret to success is respecting their footwear material. It’s a process that’s been honed by generations of craftsmen whose time-honored skills enhance the distinctive character and natural beauty of every hide. Trask is humbled by the artisans who have devoted themselves to creating beauty for their customers, with antique finishes and authentic details. Trask has found endless inspiration in the untamed landscape and free spirit of the American West" And I'm paying "MADE IN AMERICA prices... I expect for it to actually be made in America. I understand paying for AE shoes and supporting American workers with higher wages. If I'm paying those same prices for shoes made in China when I'm guessing the worker made a small fraction of the wages I'm not so happy with the price, and I'm also going to take a stab in the dark that whomever made my shoes was not part of a "generation of craftsman". All that being said... I'm keeping the shoes, I like them, they do seem to be well made. But for made in China... MASSIVELY OVERPRICED.

Well, this was a first for me. I received two shoes that were both for the left foot! Also, the color I ordered was Saddle Tan American Bison and what came was Bourbon Bison. What was interesting to me though was that the shape of these two left shoes were not exactly symmetrical. See picture attached.

Excellent quality shoe. Lots of Chukka boots have too much extra space around the ankle but these are perfect. Leather is a great quality and easy to dress up or down. Only knock is that the shoe is a bit wider than most so it's not as sleek on the foot. That being said, it's a very comfortably shoe and would highly recommend.

I'm a coat and jeans technology guys and these boots hit the sweet spot. Bought 3 colors and the walnut color is my go-to weekend shoe. Black has shinier patina and dresses up the outfit. Bonus they required no break-in and grippy soles should get me through the winter on my bicycle.

These boots are extremely comfortable after a little breaking in, which doesn't take too long. They hold up quite well, too - my first pair still looks good after almost two years of near-daily wear. The only two drawbacks are the tread (it is quite thin and has become bald in places over time) and the included laces, which are of fairly poor quality and broke after just a month of wear.

I normally wear either 10W or 10.5. I ordered 10.5 in these (since they don’t come in wide) and they fit great. The quality of the leather is incredible. Many shoes you buy these days are treated with an unnatural coating and it’s hard to tell whether they are really leather. These are soft with natural color variations and you can tell that they will soften, feel more comfortable, and age gracefully. The finish is a bit matte (as compared to dress shoes) which I consider a plus. For an experiment, I took my shoe brush to them-no polish-and they shined right up. They definitely can work with jeans or anything up to a sport coat. Too casual for a suit, but anything less, they would look great.

Ok, so I have read a number of reviews that state this amazingly elegant and well designed chukka to be too small. I am a big 12. Not quite wide, but a shoe must be a legit 12 + to fit comfortably. The 12 in these is PERFECT. Love the Buffalo- dresses chinos up a bit and dresses down office wear just enough. My new Favs!

Trask Brady in Bourbon Bison: compliments every time & dress up or down versatility. Wear with slim pants, all jean colors, cuffed or uncuffed. Good quality, classic styling, solid grip in wet conditions & comfortable (cushioned insole, no arch support). Ordered normal sz 10, then 9.5 & settled on 9s. Would purchase again from Zappos - free shipping and returns!

These boots look good but have a cheap feel when you wear them. It's hard to explain, but a squishiness that you can't pin on the rubber sole alone (though I mostly wear leather soles). Also, the shoes have a strange fit, almost like rubber rain boots. They hug the foot in a smothering sort of way. And the "imported" refers to them being made in China. Definitely not worth the money. I sent them back.

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

I have this exact model in bison and they fit perfectly. The blue suede and the brown steer were considerably smaller.

Definitely not a $200.00 shoe, more like 120.00. Color was different from Zappos photograph. Style is cool just dun buy if looking for quality.

Not a 200.00 shoe, more like a 120.00 or 140.00 shoe. Color was off not a grey Italion more like brown. I don't think I will purchase any more from Zappos.
