Let me preface this with the fact I love this hat and own it in multiple colors. However, this was the first time I tried to order it through Zappos (for the amazingly quick shipping!) and was so frustrated with how the item(s!) arrived. First one I ordered came in this box about half the width of the hat, brim completely folded and mangled. Why on earth would someone pack a straw hat like that? I figured it was just a fluke so I contacted customer service and they managed to send me a replacement for the next day (talk about fast shipping!). Second one arrived in a larger box so I thought it would be intact, but no, it was still too small for the hat and was even MORE misshapen than the first. Ugh. Am going to hope Nordstrom restocks my size soon because I know they mail it properly without damaging the hat!

The photos of the hat on the dummy made me think the hat was more floppy than it actually was. Know that the brim is very stiff and stands straight out on all sides. That and the fact that the brim was so wide made me look like I was wearing a sombrero. It wasn't flattering.

My head is very large and I find it very, very hard to find a hat that actually fits! And, It is blue! (My favorite color)!! Five stars all around!!

X-Small was too large. I have a small head (20 1/2 inches) & this hat was too big.

Absolutely love this hat. Looks chic and stylish. I was getting tired of the packable hats losing their shape and looking blah. Love the quality and fit. I can tell this hat will last through many sunny days to come.

Love this hat! Was looking for a nice stiff straw and after reading all the reviews and seeing the customer pictures, I decided to purchase it. I wasn’t disappointed. I ordered a small which was perfect, the quality is great and it’s very classy. It’s a stiff straw which is exactly what I wanted as all the other straw/beach hats kept flopping. Would definitely recommend this hat!

Great fit and beautiful style

Love this hat, very comfy, u have a rather large head and and curly hair and a medium fit well. Very stylish and great at blocking sun during the summer.

This hat runs big and has a HUGE brim (the photo doesn't show how large it is), so it's not for everyday; it's more like a sitting-by-the-pool hat. The brim is stiff and shades my entire face. I have a pretty large head (22 1/2") and I needed a Medium. It's still a bit loose, but the Small was way too tight for me. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Ordered a Medium, and received a Large, now Medium is out of stock ... Zappos customer service used to be so on point.

I’m a teacher and often need to be outside with students. I needed something to protect my very sensitive skin from the sun. This hat does the job. I have a small head (around 21.5 inches) I usually wear S in hats, but due to other reviews I sized down and got the XS. It fit perfect.

Whoa, this hat is HUGE (and I have a large head). I ordered a Medium and I looked like a child, wearing an adult's hat. (My head is 22.5".) It's cute and sturdy, but because of the mix of colors, it's definitely busy and calls attention to itself. I loved the amount of shade it gave, but it was way too big to even consider keeping. FYI - Brixton says that this is 7-1/4 ", but that doesn't seem accurate.

the brim is sturdy not like its pictured. also the brim is absolutely huge and makes the hat not so casual. it's definitely a beach hat and not an everyday hat. would be perfect for keeping the sun out but just makes me feel like I stick out a bit with a gigantic hat anywhere other than someplace very sunny.

he picture makes this hat look more flexible / floppy but it was more of a rigid, straight brim like the Willow hat. (I almost thought I ordered the wrong hat but I didn't!) I normally wear an XS in Brixton but this XS was too big. Zappos service wonderful as always!
