I have tried this backpack out at many outdoor stores. Many people are saying the laptop sleeve is flimsy, but they are using the wrong compartment. The laptop sleeve is not in the main compartment of the bag, it has its own separate sleeve on the back of the backpack. The laptop sleeve is its own section of the bag. People are also complaining about the storage. The storage is pretty much the same as every other Kanken backpack. there is not added storage pockets for this bag.

Got this backpack for traveling and for work. I have a lenovo think pad 14.5" x 10" (36.5 cm x 25 cm) for work and a lenovo yoga 9" x12.75" (23cm x 32.5cm) for personal use. The back laptop compartment (which as one person stated already that some people thought the seat pad slot was the laptop sleeve, which it is not) fits both laptops perfectly. It comes with the seat pad! I'm super excited to take this on vacation with me.

Bought this my daughter to use for school. Definitely fits everything a 5th grader needs and then some. She loves it and it looks like it will last her through middle school.

I purchased this bag to transport my 15" MacBook Pro. Firstly, the laptop sleeve does NOT fit that model of laptop; it's a thin flimsy material and the pocket isn't wide enough for the Pro - maybe a thinner laptop would fit. I ended up purchasing the Fjallraven sleeve for my laptop which just fit inside the backpack (though the zipper on it ended up breaking). Secondly, the material of the bag is weird. It's very wrinkled and scratchy. Some makeup got on the bag and nothing would remove the stain, not even dry cleaning fluid (that ended up leaving a worse stain, even though the fluid was made specifically for the bag's material). Finally, this bag cannot be washed, but simply spot cleaning regular every day dirt with soap and water doesn't work. So, if you have a skinny laptop and don't mind a dirty bag, this might be for you. Unfortunately that's not the case for me.

Unbelievable! How can they sent me a bag that someone who used it, inside the bag which has a powder fresh for under arm and the shoulder which is brokennnnnnnn! oh my god! how can't they do that. I'm really waiting for this bag. How can they don't check carefully before delivery, It's waste time for shipping, for buyer and for shipment. So bad!

This was perfect for my 12 year old 7th grade daughter. It is roomy, stylish and comfortable. She can also use as overnight bag. It is waterproof too.

This is just as described. Besides a button on the strap was pressed on incorrectly and does not work. That is a fault of Fjallraven, though. Not Zappos. The bag was sealed in plastic by the manufacturer. I just did not want to wait for weeks to get another one, so I kept it. Besides it does not affect the pack. The material is not canvas as it looks, but it does seem very water resistant. It reminds me of thick tent material. Very light pack. If you have got the cash to blow on a backpack, then it is definitely a cool pack that is fairly basic. Do it, you know you want it.

Love this bag. I purchased the Kanken for an upcoming trip for my carry on bag. It’s going to fit the bill perfectly. It’s well constructed and sturdy.

Returning this backpack before even using it. For the price, I expected much, much more. The material is not rugged at all; the "padded laptop sleeve" is just a loose piece of foam placed inside a flimsy laptop-size pocket. Minimal pockets for organizing anything at all. What a disappointment.
