I love how it looks but it's awkward to use. The main compartment straps have to be undone to get into the zippered pocket in front. Those strap clips are hard to undo, though I appreciate the dark metal, not plastic. Since the strap clasp makes it hard to get into either compartment, I will end up leaving the main one open and things will fall out of the top since there's no additional closure at the top. Also, no place to hook keys inside or out. So if you need your keys you have to take the bag off, open the two clasp straps, open the zippered front pocket and find them in there. Or wear your keys on your pants. Not something I always want to do and sometimes I wear skirts or dresses. I wish it were slightly more ergonomic -- curved straps and a removable chest clasp would make it useable for a day hike, not just looking good in the city. The fabric is beautiful: mid-weight, matte, smooth and waterproof. I got the dark grey which is more of an off-black. The bag appears quite small but fits more than you'd think inside. There are a couple of snaps at the top sides which make it easier to access your stuff and expand the bag a bit if needed. Can fit laptop, large water bottle, extra sweater, a couple of small books, snacks. The laptop sleeve is padded on the bottom and back but not the front (inside), and fits my 15" macbook pro. I wanted something minimalist but minimalism means every detail should be well-thought-out. This bag is okay, but not quite good enough.

I love this backpack. I've been searching for my "perfect" school/life bag for a while now, and I finally feel like I can rest. Here are some helpful things to know: Pros -comfortable on your back. -sturdy material (it feels like it'll last a lifetime if I treat it well). My stuff was okay after walking in a light drizzle, but rain might be iffy. -this bag just looks good. It's not puffy or wide while you're wearing it. -can hold a decent amount (notebooks, laptop, planner, lunch), but it isn't large by any means. Cons -the exterior zip pocket is just a pouch (no internal organization -price. It was expensive, which was hard to swallow for a backpack. Now that I have the bag and can see I'll be getting years of use out of it, the price doesn't seem so bad. I just won't be buying another bag ever again, which is okay because this one is so terrific.

At 5'4", most backpacks are too big for me. This one is perfect and lightweight. It's much nicer in person than it appears in the video and the dark grey is like the picture. The fabric is super soft and the construction is quality. The laptop space is padded against your back and on the bottom. There aren't lots of compartments or pockets - everything is simplistic in design. While it has a slim profile, there's plenty of room for a book, a scarf, a water bottle (there's no sleeve for it though), keys, a tablet, wallet, cosmetic case, etc. Some have mentioned the hooks as tricky...um, they're just hooks. Maybe they've changed the design or something, but what's on my backpack a toddler could figure out. It is quick and easy, yet secure. It is true that the flap covers the outer pocket so that you have to unhook it, but it's easy and I don't foresee this as an issue. I thought it might bother me when I ordered it, but it's a non-issue for me. The straps are padded and comfortable on my small frame. It's elegant while still being functional and multipurpose. I can wear it while maintaining my dignity and still looking like an adult, yet it is still wearable with fashionable clothes. I had never heard of this brand before but I'm really pleased I gave them a try.

This bag is very durable, great for carrying my SLR camera and goodies while traveling. I love the dark grey color as well. I bought it so me or my husband could wear it (he didn't like my girlie backpack). Definitely would recommend this backpack.

This backpack is very sturdy and durable. I take to school (college) everyday and it is very comfortable. The straps are padded so it makes carrying the backpack more comfortable too. The compartment on the inside is is separated into 2 spaces. The main compartment and a pocket for a tablet or a laptop. I have a 13 inch laptop and I keep inside a case, and it fits inside the compartment. Overall I think this backpack is great, stylish, and extremely durable. I highly recommend it.

This is an awesome backpack, especially if you are looking for a sleek, no frills bag. I'm 5'3" and this bag works perfect for me, whether I use it as a day pack or for a kayak trip (in a dry bag of course!). I originally was worried how the bag closes would be an inconvenience but this is not they case at all. Cheers!

The size is perfect, not too big and bulky, not too small and ridiculous. The pack fits just right, ending at the small of my back. It is pretty simply designed, which is what I like. There is only one outside zippered pocket and one open envelope pocket inside for files or tablet/laptop. I like everything about this pack, but I wish that it had a keyring, because keys get lost in that one zip pocket.

This backpack is awesome. It is beautiful-- the fabric is a nice weight and the color is fantastic (I got ochre). I disagree with the previous reviewer's complaints about it not being functional. For instance, you don't need to unclip both front clips to get to the front pocket, you can just loosen the straps for easy access. It's a nice, light weight and pretty small, but it holds a lot. And yes, it is a minimal bag, so if you're looking for something with a lot of pockets and key hooks, look elsewhere. I think the front pocket is a good size, big enough to hold keys, phone, sunglasses, but small enough that those things won't get lost in there. Anyhow, I hemmed and hawed about whether or not to buy this bag for weeks, mostly due to price, but it was definitely a worthwhile purchase. Thanks, Zappos!

Wonderful bag! Great design and easy to wear without strain or pain, even when it's packed heavily. The clips are a hard to use on the go - a snapping style clip would've been preferable, but that's the only downside.

Surprisingly roomy for being a small backpack, love the look of it and the color. Sometimes it's annoying to open the flap, but the outer pocket is nice.

This is a great pack. I bought it to use as an everyday bag for work (to carry my laptop, notebooks, etc) but happened to get it right before a trip to Maui. It turned out to be a great carry-on, as well as a decent pack for some light hiking. I saw one person give negative feedback (before I purchased) in regard to the closers for the whole bag being over the one small pocket in front, but I've actually found that to be a plus, particularly when traveling. I found myself having to be conscious about keep my bag secure, and important items of travel (ID, credit cards, cash, etc.) safe. One tiny drawback is that there's not dedicated spot of keys, in or outside of the pack, but that's hasn't been much of an issue.

This pack is very sturdy and in my short time with it, gives the impression of being very well made. The laptop pocket fits a bulky Dell Latitude E6430 snugly, and the main compartment has enough room for a lunch, a couple of books, or a change of clothes.
The main compartment space is not ample, but the bag is small and compact - without a laptop, it would be spacious. There is no organization whatsoever in the front pouch.
