I love the size of the bag, it is the same as the classic kånken but I love the look of the #2 thats why I got it but I have used it for a trip to the zoo and it was comfortable the whole walk ..... I did buy the kånken mini but it did/didnt hold everything I neede but I couldnt get anything else that I needed in it so Im going to stick with the #2 as an EDC and for more random summer fun trips and but it holds what I need comfortably

I'm very happy with the purchase of this bag (I bought it in Dark Olive) I was debating between the various Kånken models and ultimately decided on the No. 2 because of the material it's made of. It is definitely pricier than the others, but the leather is of good quality and everything feels premium about it. (i.e stitching, materials, etc.)
It's roomy and can fit most of my daily carries. I'm able to comfortably put in a MBP 13" with plenty of space for it. The bag opens up considerably from the zippers so it's not hard to take things in and out of the bag. The bag does come with a cushion piece you can take in and out from the inner pocket.
One thing that stood out to me with this bag is that it's not conventionally strapped like a normal backpack. What that means is that when you need to tighten the straps you pull up rather than down. Not a huge deal though. The backpack is very comfortable, I had some doubts about extended day carrying because of how thin the straps are and because of the material they were made from, but I was surprised to find that they did not cause any discomfort or fatigue.
My only complaint for this bag is that the straps are relatively 'short'. For me to wear the bag comfortably I need to extend the straps all the way to get it on and off myself. For reference I'm 6' with 43-44" chest.

Very nice, though I'm returning it because I prefer the Foldover by the same company. I'm going with that one because of a couple of features in this one. The leather straps are big and overtake my small stature, even though the bag itself is a perfect size for a small person. Also, I really wish the straps were padded. The construction is very high quality. A 15" MacBook Pro fits perfectly inside, but there's no bottom padding for when you set the back down on the floor. There is, however, a padded piece on the inside that can pad a laptop or, as the tag says, be used as a cushion. It's a nice touch.

So cute, 5* for style. Smaller than expected, but fits more than you'd think! I carry my gym clothes and shoes, kindle, and makeup in the main pouch; water bottle on the side; and wallet and keys in the front pouch. There is a pocket inside the main compartment, which is nice for organization. The only things I wish were different: -It is hard to quickly access the main pouch because you have to unbutton the handles (unless you keep them unbuttoned) -the side pouch is very snug on my water bottle, so it's not easy to put in and remove. It can accommodate about the width of a standard plastic water bottle. The backpack straps are not fancy. Just a small strip of material. Surprisingly not uncomfortable, but I was expecting something more substantial.

I converted to a backpack from a diaper bag, and purchased this to replace my inexpensive one that broke. My main criteria were functional, durable, and reasonably stylish - win win win! This backpack is great. Great quality, just enough organization for me, love the leather accents and the handles on top are great when you need to grab it and quickly chase a kid ;) Love that there's room for a water bottle in the side pockets.

The dark olive is beautiful in person, especially with the leather trim. I was on the fence about ordering this backpack since I wanted something a little bit on the "nicer" side for commuting to work (while still being durable enough to use for traveling/hiking), but I am SO glad I did! Worth the investment!

I purchased this to use as a diaper bag alternative and I love it! It's spacious but never feels heavy even when I have it packed full. The straps were a bit confusing to adjust, but otherwise no complaints!

My favorite backpack of all time. I have worn this every day since purchased in September 2021. I take it to work, I hike with it, and I travel with it. One thing I was afraid of when I purchased it was that it might fade overtime. It hasn't and still looks great. I've had people spill stuff all over it, I've gotten all sorts of colors of dirt on it, and one time my husband spilled a can of soda in it. It always cleans up well! 10/10 would buy again, (but I don't have to because it's so wonderful and put together well).

I love everything about this bag! Fits my needs as an art teacher. My only concern that I didnt think about if how to clean it if it gets dirty. I would not want to wet the leather details.

I had thus bag for a few years and just got better looking as it gets old. The worn out look makes it like an old reliable fried.

I'm going to start by saying I returned this bag, but that was a tough decision. The one and ONLY reason I returned this is because I realized the leather handles and accents could pose an issue down the line when it comes time to clean this bag. I demand a lot from my travel gear, it needs to hold up as it's literally tossed, dropped, kicked, and shoved repeatedly to and from my various destinations. I know these bags have a great reputation and when I finally got the bag in hand I knew why.
I've used every type of backpack over the years and I travel pretty frequently. I'm so sick of a million pockets, packs that are heavy before you even start loading them up, and ones that just don't have a huge opening. You're practically able to unzip this thing 3/4 of the way which is great and you could pack it like a suitcase. It weighs very little really, and there's just the one pocket in front that'll make it easy to grab those 2-3 things you might need quickly. The rest is just a wide open space and it's fantastic. I have a zillion pouches and with the way the bag opens grabbing what you need will be so easy. I tried stuffing an iPad in the back pocket and there's plenty of room. I didn't test it in the pocket, but my 15" MacBook Pro fit just fine in the main body of the bag. So if you had to bring a laptop in a pinch, you could but if you're going to bring it all the time I'd recommend the actual laptop version.
The only problem with this very specific model is the leather accents. If you're hoping to be able to toss this in the wash, or to even hand wash it, you won't be able to. Well you can, but the longevity of the product will be severely diminished. I think if you're easier on your travel gear and it's less likely to get truly filthy, then this is a great choice. Same goes with if you love the kanken style, but want something just a little more sophisticated. Perhaps when commuting to and from work. Or to use in place of a purse.
FWIW my favorite style of handbag is the Longchamp Le Pliage (specifically the Neo top handle model with the crossbody strap) and I strongly feel it's why I've gravitated to this backpack. It's honestly VERY similar in function and design. You've got two way to carry it, there's really only one pocket, the rest is just one big easy to access space and you can organize how you like. So if you're a fan of that bag, you'll like this one.

Ok so I first ordered the dark olive which was nice too but UPS messed up the delivery 3x. I have not gotten the bag till the 3rd shipments!! The driver probably delivered it to another address. Zappos fixed the problem. Anyways after finally receiving the item I was not in love so I exchanged it for the black with brown trim. I love it. The size is just like the classic kanken. Durability is there. Thank you Zappos. Those UPS drivers need help.

I love this daypack, though not $130 worth of love. Everything else I looked at was in the $40 to $90 range. I love the color and the leather trim, which dresses it up enough for a day in the city. It had two zippers for the main compartment, which I really like. It has hilariously tiny water-bottle pockets on the side. Surprisingly for such a high-quality piece, there’s no padding on the straps. That and the price did it in for me.

This is my go-to backpack for school: fits my laptop, ipad, change of clothes, etc. I've been using it for over a year now and it's still in great shape. Love the black on black detailing, and it goes with pretty much any outfit. The straps aren't as comfy as the padded kind on more athletic backpacks, but they only bother me a tiny bit on days that I'm wearing a tank top and I'm carrying extra heavy stuff.

I bought this in black with tan leather trim as a retirement gift for my husband. It looks beautiful and the design is wonderful. He’s going to be taking college classes and I think this will be the perfect ,back to school’ bag for a retired executive.

I’ve been using this bag for about a year and just live it! Perfect for a diaper bag/ carry on/ all around bag comfy without looking shlubby. Only thing is I spilled water in the bag, so there’s a water stain on the back and not sure how to remove it.

I bought the black/black combination, and it just looks so chic as an everyday commuter bag. I needed something that I could wear as a backpack or carry comfortably by hand, and this is the perfect balance. It fits the exact amount of stuff I need -- mostly a few notebooks and my laptop.

This bag is cute and functional. I purchased the black one and use it instead of a purse and take it to my business-casual office job. I like having extra space for water bottle, shoes, gym clothes, books. It successfully fits a SurfaceBook (14.2 inch screen laptop) in a padded sleeve. I wanted a backpack to carry the laptop around without putting stress on the shoulder. The little front pocket is great for easy access to phone or keys.
I'd also recommend:

Great size, great color. It fits my 15 inch laptop snugly and is not too big. I use it mainly for work. It's casual but clean in design to be appropriate. I love the large leather handles at the top. The straps are not the comfiest, but I don't think the pack's meant to hold too much weight considering its size.

Very cute, stylish backpack that is more comfortable and feels lighter than any other pack I've had. Fits all the necessities. I keep my laptop in there, although it's technically not for a laptop. Seems pretty durable. Wore it while traveling and to work/school. Only thing I wish for is more pockets inside, and bigger outside side pockets to fit larger water bottles.

Super cute, but not what I expected. Too small for my 13" laptop, and no padded sleeve as was shown in the pictures. Sent it back.

Extremely disappointed with this product! For the ridiculous price of 135$ you are getting backpack that looks cheap and constantly creased. The biggest problem is the color of the fabric - the black version is constantly getting white cast all over the creases no matter how many time I try to clean it. DO NOT BUY.
