This is a really nice shoe, and better looking than it may appear in the photos! Altra specializes in running shoes, so this shoe benefits in comfort. Zero-drop shoes are really the only shoes that make sense. That almost all other shoes continue with heel-to-forefoot drop is just bizarre. Similarly, why don't all companies have this kind of wide toe box? These are an excellent casual shoe. They're good for walking or everyday activities. Very nice.

This was my first pair of Altra shoes. I was looking for something to accommodate my squashed toes and relieve the numbness caused by a neuroma. I found it! I must admit these are the first shoes that make my feet feel good after walking for any length of time. Very comfortable. I did send the first pair back because they felt about a half size tight on my left foot but the reorder fit fine. The only complaint I have is that they look "different". I'm not used to the wider toe box style but hope I get used to it. The more I wear them the happier I am.

The color isn't really well reflected in the picture, but otherwise this shoe is very comfortable. Lots of room in the toe box and the zero drop almost makes me feel like I'm barefoot. I hope they create a version that I can wear to work (dress shoes).

As someone with a wide foot I've always had trouble finding shoes that don't press against my little toes, but these Altra Zero Drop shoes fit just great. For some reason most shoes, even those in 4E widths, begin tapering towards the tip of the shoe way too early, but thankfully the Altra folks have discovered that shoes should be shaped like feet...what a concept! I'm on my feet all day, and these shoes make all the difference. Just be aware that these shoes, in my experience, run quite small. I typically wear a 10 or 10 1/2, but I had to return the 10 1/2s I initially ordered for 11 1/2s. I would prefer more arch support, as well as a more padded insole, but otherwise these are ideal. Given the perfect fit of this pair I'll definitely be trying their athletic shoes.

I have the Altra Instinct 2 and I love them (despite how ugly they are). I got these because I was hoping that they would look better and still feel good. They look worse than the picture, and are not even close to as comfortable as the Instinct 2.

Great shoe overall. Very light, my wide feet are very happy in them, the wide toe box feels luxurious. Some reviewers were saying these shoes are ugly, but I disagree. I think they are very good looking, like moccasins. I've had a little problem with the left shoe hirting the back of my foot, but it softened within a couple of days. I have plantar fasciitis, and my feet seem to be responding well to the shoes.

My husband first ordered a pair of red Altra Provision 3 shoes which ran 1/2 small, so they were returned for a larger size. He loved these shoes so much, due to the design and comfort, that he ordered these Altra Instinct Everyday shoes in black. Knowing that the red pair were 1/2 size too small he ordered the black ones accordingly but these turned out to be a FULL size too small. So those had to be returned also for an even larger size. He has never worn that size in any shoe ever, so it was surprising that these shoes run so small. But when he got a size that fit, he just loooooves these Altra shoes and hardly wears anything else. Just know that they definitely run very small.

I ordered these for my husband, as all of his shoes were too narrow in the toe box. He loves them, saying they are the most comfortable shoe he has ever owned. We will now have to replace his other shoes, as once you experience the negative heel drop and wide toe box any other shoe type feels terrible. Ordering 1/2 size larger worked for him as it has with me for any Altra shoe.

These shoes are amazingly comfortable. Wear them daily for 2 months now, not much wear on the sole even though it's a very soft material.

I love these shoes. They are extremely comfortable and light on the feet. They are nicely wide in the toe (as all shoes should be) and the sizing seems to be the same as with Altra's running shoes. In fact, they feel very much like my Altra Instincts, but they are attractive and formal enough to wear at my workplace where I would never wear my running shoes. I've only had these shoes a few weeks, but so far I like everything about them.

So roomy, every shoe should be like this. The's shoe's not only wide but tall meaning, your feet have room to splay and expand throughout the day. The sizing and comfort level is similar to other Altra Shoes, so there's no surprise there.

Great shoe. Comfortable and very well made. Leather took a few days to break in, but formed nicely to foot. Fit is as advertised, wide toe box, but not too much slop. These have a nice low to the ground feel, not too much cushion. Also bought a pair of Altra running shoes, which are my new favorite.

These are great casual shoes! All of the comfort of Altra running shoes, but in a more polished look. I really only have great things to say about these, so I'll leave it at, if you love Altra running shoes and need a good casual shoe, buy these. Enjoy!

I was sold on this shoe when I first bought it. I am a 2E and had worn New Balance shoes for years but still had problems with my toes getting pushed together. Not so with Altra shoes. I bought their running shoes and this Instinct Everyday for, well, everyday wear. While I love the shoe and how it fits, for a $130 shoe I was very disappointed when one of the side seams started to come apart prematurely. I had only owned them for about two months but I was wearing them almost every day. Still, there was very little wear on the soles, and no seams were coming apart anywhere else or on the other shoe. When I called Altra customer service and explained the situation, stating that I believed it was a manufacturer defect, I got a less than receptive response and no offer of a refund or to repair/replace the shoe. I was not impressed. I don't even think they offered me a discount on another pair. Still, I did buy another pair because I like them so much, and this pair seems to be wearing much better than the first pair (further proof that it wasn't me... it was the shoe). So, bottom line: it's a great shoe but quality may not be commensurate with what you would expect from an expensive shoe... and don't expect much empathy from Altra customer service.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever bought. I have had serious problems with my ankles and couldn't find shoes that were comfortable ( I had my ankle replaced 12 mos. ago) I was able to wear these shoes all day and even run through Chicago airport. They are very supportive but very light. It almost feels like you are barefoot. Looks could be improved a little bit but the comfort makes them well worth it!

I have fairly wide feet, but really do need a spacious footbox, so after an exhaustive search I settled on these shoes. They are "ugly" but really, not too bad and work fine for jeans and sweaters. My feet stay really warm and dry in them. My only real complaint is that it feels like there's an arch support in them. I checked, and there's not. But the sole of the shoe is actually hitting on the inside of my foot, and with the innersole covering it, it feels like an arch support. Sadly, this is uncomfortable on my feet that are accustomed to being barefoot. I do, however, love the room in the toebox. The quality is excellent.

This is an awesome shoe. I have 3 gray and now one black. If your toe box is wide, this shoe is for you. If your toebox is not wide then you will probably not like this shoe. I get great comments on the "good looking" shoe I am wearing everywhere I go. My dentist and his tech are both going to get a pair! Now my feet are so comfortable and don't hurt!

Comfortable shoe that fits true to size. I purchased these because I had other Altra products that are awesome. These are not the most comfortable shoes but they are more comfortable than other dress shoes I own

Nice. Bought them for everyday work wear. Not good with a suit. Fine for slacks and a polo days when I'm in the field.lots of room. Altras are my new go to comfort shoe. These did nor disappoint.

This is the 3rd pair of these shoes I have purchased for my husband. He is on his feet all day & this is the only shoe he wants. He says they are the best ever!

Bought these for hubby. He has a bad bunion on right foot at his big toe knuckle. These are the ONLY shoes he's been able to find that provide a great fit without hurting and squeezing his toes. He wears them for 8-12 hours at a time and loves the "No Pain" these shoes provide! Nice wide foot pattern in the toe part of the shoe... YEAH!

This is a nice looking, modern style shoe that is easily office casual. It is light and comfortable. Two warnings: 1. Altra shoes are awesome but vary wildly in sizes. Not two models are sized the same. They are all about one size too small, and there is no width listed but some are narrow and some are wide. I wish they would fix this problem. 2. This is a standard width shoe, not for wide feet. The toe box is big, but not at the ball of the foot. Altras also vary wildly on width. I take an 8.5 wide (E) in almost every brand of shoe (8 E in some), and I wear a 9.5 in the instinct running shoe, which is crazy wide and crazy comfortable. The instinct everyday is about 3/8 of an inch narrower and 1/8 inch longer than the instinct running shoe. I had to return mine - too tight for a wide foot. I WISH WISH WISH altra would make more casual shoes (and in consistent sizes) that someone with a wide foot can wear. I am still a loyal altra runner, but this is not for wide feet.

I was attracted to these shoes by their unusual and distinct styling. However, what really keeps me wearing them is the arch support and their extreme comfort. My feet are loving them!

Love these shoes! I broke my foot 3 months ago and am now transitioning from a huge boot back to real shoes. I was instructed to get sturdy shoes, and these fit that bill. And they are extremely comfortable, to boot. Very roomy toe box and nice low profile overall. Now, many people would not consider these shoes stylish, however I am a casual person and value comfort and foot health above other traits in a shoe, and am very happy with my Altras.
