I added a pair of Powerstep Original Orthotics-U Shoe Inserts to increase the comfort. I have flat feet and a pronounced pro-nation in my right ankle as well as arthritis and some tendinitis. I also feel more comfortable with the top two lace positions above the square metal wrap around stud somewhat loose. The square metal wrap around stud does a good job of retaining the firmer grip I applied to the laces below it. One of my main objectives for these boots was to get excellent ankle support. I'm quite satisfied with the boots.

The Tibet GTX Hi is designed for carrying heavy weights while hunting in any weather condition and over rugged off-trail terrain. It utilizes a high one-piece, water-repellent Nubuck leather upper with GORE-TEX lining for waterproofness and breathability. The Tibet combines a Vibram outsole that is crampon and snow spike compatible with a PU midsole package. LOWA s patent-pending FlexFit/Tongue Stud, Balance Insole, Climate Control System, C4 Comfort Tongue System, AWP (Asymmetric Walking Position), and Spring Lace Hook System complete the package.

Purchased these for Mid-To-Late Oct. Elk Hunt in East Idaho. SO worth the money. Excellent build quality! I used these for some serious trekking up and down steep slopes. The sole design was vital in getting good grip up and down the hills. Ankle support is great. I prefer the wrapped-around rubber type boot. Especially when dealing with rocky areas. Waterproof yet very breathable. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a serious hiking/camping/hunting boot.

Got these for hunting in rugged areas with no roads. Have yet to spend days at a time in them, but they fit my normal boot size. Feel a bit small at first but after a few minutes of walking with a heavy pack they feel great. Lots of support in ankle and above. Foot bed is nice and heel pocket fit me well. No need for insoles with these boots. Haven't leaked yet, but I haven't crossed any streams yet. Felt and fit great out the box but I would still break them in before a long hike. Think these boots can handle anything you can throw at them. Glad I got these vs the kenetreak or sportiva as they are more comfortable for my feet. I got tall boots and it does make it hard to crouch down for long, but I don't see how I could hurt and ankle with all the support they offer. Great boot. If they last a few years, I will buy them again.

It is a wonderful boot I just wish that they had it in wide sizes. I tried a size larger hoping that it would be wide enough but ended up sending it back. Quality was top notch I just wish they had it is a wide!

These are the best hiking boots I have ever purchased. They feel very stable even on loose, muddy soil going uphill or downhill. The first time I put them on, I wore them on a 4 hour hike and had no problems. I can't recommend them enough.

Lowa boots are expensive but worth every bit of it if you wear them every day as I do. I've never tried the insulated boots as these seem to be fine even in 0 degree weather.

I have bought plenty of hunting boots and found this to be the best of all. Sold boot, well made, warm, etc.

Expensive boot so it needs to be great. It's well made, crafted with a high standards. Howevver it has uncomfortable pressure points. This boot sells for $450. Why is there not an option for a wider fit? I have ordered probably a dozen boots on Zappos the last couple of months and they're all too narrow and I don't even have a wide foot! Figure it out Zappos! Cabelas has a similar German made boot with a wider fit, comfortable and they cost less too.
