I fell in love with these shoes and was so sad to have to return them. The footbed was super supportive and comfortable, but I was surprised that a shoe of this quality had only velcro straps. I have a narrower foot, and the straps were too loose. If I wasn't super careful about strapping them on tightly enough, my foot would wiggle around in the footbed and I would sometimes roll my ankle. More importantly, however, after 3 months of consistent use the velcro was absolutely torn apart and the straps would no longer stay together. I had to unfortunately return--a sandal for this price shouldn't have this sort of quality problem!

I own another pair of Taos that I absolutely love! These were my second go with this brand. These felt really narrow, the straps were scratchy, and the straps over the toe area felt constricting, even though you can adjust it, it just never felt right.

I bought these sandals a few months ago in preparation for a trip to Greece, where I knew I'd be doing a lot of walking on not-so-smooth paths. I wore them on long walks with my dog during the beginning of the summer, and then in Greece. They were PERFECT! I cannot say enough good things about these sandals. They are absolutely comfortable, and no matter how far I walked, I got zero blisters. My feet always felt supported and comfortable. The velcro straps make it easy to adjust the sandals to fit my very narrow feet. They're stylish enough to wear with casual skirts, dresses, shorts, skinny jeans, whatever. The Stone color really looks great with everything. The sizing, I admit, was a little weird. I got both the 9-9.5 and the 10-10.5 40 and 41, I think. I am almost always a size 9, but my toes were almost at the edge and I figured I could do with a little more room, so I kept the 10-10.5. I wish they had a true 9.5, because I think those might have fit a bit better. Overall, excellent sandals!

Once broken in these are amazing! The footbed is initially very hard. However, within a few wearing it fits to your foot and becomes your favorite shoe. Don’t give up on them. Give them a few wearings - you’ll be glad you did.

Size 40 fit my size 9 foot perfectly. The dark gray is a nice, neutral color depicted accurately online. The adjustable straps accommodate my wide, right forefoot with comfort and the straps are lined with a soft, comfortable leather. Slightly more arch support than other sandals I ordered (Naot Kayla). Very comfortable sandals!

Size 40 is a perfect 9. I have high arches and planter faciatias. I have only worn vionic sandals for years but have not been happy with Vionics foot support on last few purchases. These Taos.. are amazing. Velcro allows for perfect fit, all leather has zero areas of blister possibilities. The slightly raised heel and arched support was exactly what I needed. Wearing everyday for two weeks. Pain gone. Bought two more pairs. Fabulous!

I tried these in a store on a trip and loved them, but didn't have time to make a decision on color at the time. I ended up buying them in the Navy color on Zappos. They are a wonderful comfort shoe and I love that they adjust in the front and back straps with Velcro, which makes them a great travel shoe for swelling feet on an airplane or at high altitudes or high heat, or while walking around a lot, to adjust as you go. The look is much more fashionable than many other options out there, and I love the color variety, although it makes choosing difficult! The Trulie is a very comfortable shoe for people who like a non-flexible, supportive footbed, but I have to admit I have since discovered the wonders of the more minimal, cushiony, supportive, yet flexible footbed of Ecco sandals, which I now prefer for a more natural movement of the foot. That said, I found these to be comfortable while walking around all day, and the suede lining in the footbed is softer than without. I did not find the material or Velcro to be scratchy. One major bummer though: the navy dye rubbed off on my feet. If you are waffling on colors, you might want to opt for one of the lighter pairs.

I LOVE these shoes. The blue Trulie's are my fourth pair (all different colors). I live in a warm climate and wear sandals 10 months/year. Since I need to wear orthotics and can't use them in sandals, I've struggled to find sandals with enough arch support for my feet. These shoes are it. I also appreciate the two adjustable straps. I hope they never stop making this shoe.

I had these same sandals a few years ago. When the strap broke I decided to get a different sandal. The other sandals were not as comfortable and when they got beat up I reconsidered the TAOS Trulie. I ordered 5 pairs of different sandals from Zappos (all comfort brands, Naot, Dansko, Birkenstock and Taos). Long story short, these feel the best and I kept them, sending all the others back! The cork wedge really helps when you are walking all day. The strap system allows for total customization to your foot. The bronze color goes with everything. I have my fingers crossed on their longevity. They may not be the most elegant ut they are definitely the most comfortable!

Bought the burnt orange and am really pleased. Most of the straps are woven and will be stretching so don't be concerned about them if they are tight at the very beginning. Very cute design and plenty of foot comfort. Great shoe.

I normally wear a size 11, however I had to get a size 12 in these sandals. I have a very, very narrow foot and it is extremely hard for me to find sandals that fit. I have literally been looking for years; these are absolutely amazing. I’m so glad that I got them. They were Absolutely worth the money. I got the black because that’s what was available, but I think I would’ve liked the gray better. I really cannot say enough about the comfort of these sandals all the way around, and the arch support. I’m surprised but I actually find them to be very attractive!

I loved the look of these sandals and was excited about the fit. Great arch support and comfortable cork sole. BUT ... the stylish straps were scratchy on my feet and after wearing them around the house to see if I could tolerate the scratchy feeling, I just had to send them back. Straps just too uncomfortable. :( So sad and now I have to find good pair of sandals ...

This shoe is a winner for Taos and customers! I own many different colors, and enjoy wearing this shoe for casual, dress, and walking.

I decided to return the Sky Blue. I bought Mauve last year and wore them again today, I have an abrasion on a toe from the jute. My first pair was Navy and I had no issues. Something changed with their jute and I decided for the price, it wasn't worth scarring up my feet again.

All reviews I read stated that this shoe was a great “travel” shoe. It is if you are not doing a lot of walking. I was disappointed in the arch support and the straps across the toes created a blister (even with tightening and loosing the straps). Sadly, I am now stuck with an expensive ($165) pair of shoes that I will not wear again.

Very disappointed - very cute style. Really hoped these would have worked. I ordered wide, but the straps were not longer on the wide, which made a lot of the velcro show. Also, I thought the leather Taos strap would loop through the ring, so you could pull the ankle strap tighter. It does not, adheres from the velco from the top.

I bought this sandal a year ago in a light peach color and wore them comfortably with everything except dressy clothing. This year, I was looking for a black sandal that could be worn with either skirts or yoga pants. This is not really that sandal--it's quite presentable, but not dressy. But after trying several other options, I decided to come back to this model, this time in black. Because of the design of the straps, you can adjust it perfectly, both across the top and in the heel. There is enough arch support that I actually wear these to relax my feet and legs after a long day. They have the comfort of a walking shoe, but are not as sporty. A bit pricey, but since they work with everything except dressy clothing, they're worth the money.

I love these sandals. From the first moment out of the box, these are comfortable, and I can wear them all day long! There is good arch support, and I can adjust both straps, on the toe and around the ankle, to have a really nice fit! This is my second pair! Love them!

I have been wearing the Taos Trulie sandal for several years. The Trulie footbed runs a full size smaller than other shoes. I normally wear a size 40 (9). In the trulie I wear a size 41. I have 5 or 6 different colors in the Trulie and have been wanting the black since Day 1, but always have gotten distracted by the colors and put off the basic black until now. I'm sure I will wear it for years. Taos shoes seem very expensive initially. I have had bunion surgery, still have a bunion on my other foot, plantar fascitis, very high arches and have had numerous stress fractures. The cork footbed in the Taos sandal gives me excellent arch support. The straps are adjustable which is good to acommodate my bunion. The shoes look good on my feet and are stylish. Another selling point is they wear well and I am still wearing the first 2 pairs I purchased several years ago.

These are hands down the BEST sandals you will ever strap onto your feet. I have lots of foot problems - flat feet, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, you name it. I live in a hot climate and wore these almost every day for a year straight and experienced NO foot pain. During the first day or two the straps felt like they might be a bit scratchy, but that feeling went away before the week was out. Trust me, I am not one to "just deal" with painful shoes. After a full year of wear (365 days! Not just the summer! It's always summer where I live...), the velcro is beginning to wear down, so I'm back to order a new pair. I cannot recommend these highly enough. Close all of your other tabs and buy these sandals! Worth every penny.

Beautiful sandal! While I love the ability to adjust with velcro for my very narrow feet, the arch was very uncomfortable. It seemed to be too high and not in the correct location for my foot. I am sorry to have to return, but the arch and heel fit did not accommodate my feet.

Very pretty but I guess it was too good to be true. This brand tends to run a little small so that my toes just overhang, plus the arch is in the wrong place. I keep trying taos but I think I have to MoveOn. They’re very pretty but not for me

I bought these because I have arthritis in my big toe and finding comfortable sandals is a chore. Knowing I would have to spend more money to manage this issue, I reluctantly purchased my first pair four years ago. I am happy to report that I am in love with these sandals and have been able to wear these as my main summertime shoe without issue. Recently, I purchased other styles of sandals in other brands to replace these as they are now looking well-loved but I found that I had to pull my Trulies back out of my closet to get my arthritis pain to settle down again. I will be buying these until they no longer stock them. I will note that I did have the Velcro replaced at a shoe repair store after my second season because I wasn't ready to part with them and the rest of the shoe was in wearable condition. It was worth it!

Needed some sandals for summer & wanted something comfortable & cute. I ordered these in the light gray so they would go with anything. They were comfortable right out of the box & exceeded my expectations. I’ve never worn Taos before but have Dansko so I ordered the size I wear in those & they fit perfect. The ratings & reviews also help me decided on these sandals & I’m so glad I did.
