I am a huge fan of Adrianna Papell design. I purchased this dress to wear at a friend wedding but it was too tight and too short for my taste. I guess the size 16 ended up being to small because of my large bust area. The material also started to fall apart after trying on the dress at home. So I am returning it.

Pretty dress but it's very rigid and doesn't fit well overall. I was purchasing it for a tea party (as a part of a wedding) and it won't do. Very uncomfortable and a very small fit, especially around the tummy, hips, and thigh areas. Typically a size 12, tried both a 12 and 14 and neither fit well.

Honestly, I usually don't usually do product reviews but I live by them. However I felt the current reviews on this dress does it no real justice. I took a chance and purchased this dress after reading the previous reviews. But, I have no issues. The dress is BEAUTIFUL. I am a full-sized girl, 195 lbs., 5'04" and I have a very large chest and thighs. The size 16 fit me perfectly. Not too small, not too tight on my big arms, just perfect. I'm not sure if these dresses are made differently per each item. But, the one I received fit just fine. I honestly feel that I have room to spare. Hopefully this helps a potential buyer. Very pretty dress. Love the crushed berry. Elegant while not being the standard little black dress. Pretty lace details and a little conservative with the sleeves and neckline while not looking frumpy. Dress size is consistent with other dresses from this brand.

My 5'6" 120 lb (athletic) daughter wore this in a size 2 to a school dance. Stunning while being slightly conservative.

As other reviewers stated, I think sizing up is a good idea. I ordered a larger size because it wasn't available in the two sizes smaller that I would normally order, but the larger one ended up laying beautifully and does not swallow my waist/curves. I may have been able to where the next smaller size, but it isn't necessary. I got it in Navy and I think it is so elegant and timeless and looks so much more expensive than its price. While there is give to it (I can put my arms over my head and don't think I'll have a problem wedding dancing in it), it certainly isn't a Bandage dress. It is truly lovely-- perfectly hits the mark on something conservative enough for a woman in her 30s/40s with the high neck and sleeves, but sexy enough with the shorter (but not too short) length and body skimming shape.

This is such a beautiful dress. I wore it at an evening outdoor wedding and got many compliments on it. Highlights your curves beautifully and hides the bulges pretty well. I loved the lacy sleeves, it really balanced the dress out nicely. I sized up - I usually wear a 6 in dresses, but I got an 8 and it was perfect. I'm 5' tall and it went right above my knees. I wore it with gold strappy heals.

Very pretty little black dress with lace details. Conservative sleeves yet still feels like a sexy dress. Size is consistent with the other Adrianna Papell dresses.

Very classy looking. Ordered for a fall wedding and unfortunately the style is just too "old" for me (I'm 24 but try to have slightly more timeless pieces instead of club wear)

The dress is even prettier in person with the scallop detailing. I received many compliments on the color as well. Size fits as expected.

Such a cute dress. I love the exposed zipper down the back-a very subtle but sexy detail. I'm 5'10 and this dress is just barely long enough, but I took the risk. Great dress for a wedding guest!

This is a classic dress that is well made. I find AP fesses to run big and would size down. I did not ant there was some buckling of the zipper in the back and did not sit flatly.

I love this dress! I'm 5'5" and usually wear a size 6, but the 8 fits great and is comfortable. It hits at the top of my knee. The chunky back zipper is "in" now--not my usual style, but I think it adds some interest. I got the blue color "Night", which is a beautiful deep blue. I'm considering getting this in another color also.

This dress is beautiful! It is great quality, elegant and an amazing fit. I love everything about it. It fits true to size - I ordered one size up due to some of the comments but had to reorder a size down because it is true to size.

Gorgeous dress! not sized properly, clearly only comes in petite size. I ordered 2 dresses, one in a size 8 and then in 10. Both dresses too small and short. I cannot wear too event tonight! I will have to take both back to store. Very disappointed! I hope you remake this gorgeous dress in regular sizes. I love the red, great color! Please let me know if you remake this dress.

Great dress. I ordered this in a size 14 and I was going to wear this to a wedding when I was 8 months pregnant. I was unable to go that day and wound up returning the dress. I then re-ordered it in a 4 (many months later!) and love how it's slimming and forgiving. The navy is very classy and can be worn in the fall or spring.

Amazing dress! I bought this for my fall rehearsal dinner and it was perfect. I bought a 6 which was a bit big in the hips, but I think it's because I was getting married the next day. Fits true to size. I would buy anything in this line again. My sister in law wore the identical sleeveless dress to the wedding and was beautiful.

I ordered this dress in guava to wear as a wedding guest to a fall wedding. I needed a dress that wouldn't clash with my husband's dark navy suit. I wanted a dress that wasn't black, white or red, or too revealing. It fits true to size and is not too tight and is formal enough for a wedding. The color is exactly as pictured. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Ordered a size up and this dress was perfect! I am 5ft 10 and the dress truly exemplified my long muscular legs and statuesque. Material was great and now I want this dress in more colors!!
