I am so sad that Kuhl does not make size 16. I absolutely loved these pants - the styling and cut are really great, and the fabric is soft and lovely to touch, unlike a lot of other quick dry roll up pants. Unfortunately the 14 was too small, so back they go.

Nice light weight, capri-option style. As usual for me at 5'3", too long, but not too difficult to shorten. Like the inside tie, eliminating need for belts. More style/size options available here than on Kuhl's site!

I bought this as an alternative to suit pants for my office, which is business casual, BUT, I can never find casual pants. They might be a touch more casual then I would normally choose to wear to my office, but with a nice top/sweater and nice shoes (not anything athletic looking) they look nice, and can pass for business casual. They are very comfortable, and the sage color is nice. I have a pair of "kontra" style in the shorts, and I wear a size 4 in those, which is what I bought the pants as well - I have big runner legs, so I need pants/shorts to fit those! Since I wear all my pants around my hips, the 4 fits nicely. I haven't washed them yet, but I dry all my pants on a low setting, I do have room to have them shrink a bit, but I like them a touch lose. I would try these, if you're looking for a casual pair of pants.

I was looking for a full length hiking pant that would roll-up (not convertible), packed easy, washed/dried easy, and looked cute on. I tried the Kuhl Splash Roll-Up, Kuhl Kontra, and Prana Halle and ultimately kept the Prana Halle. The Prana Halle was a bit heavier than either Kuhl and had the best fit for my body. The Kuhl Splash Roll-Up Pant also fit very nicely, but the cargo pockets on the side made it too casual (I'm hoping to wear the pant while working in Africa, too). The Kuhl Kontra sat a little lower than the other two and the contrast stitching made it look very youthful and cheap (in a bad way). In terms of sizing, I normally wear a 2 and am 5'4". The Kuhl's ran true to size and the 2 fit great. I was in between inseams -- 30 was too short, 32 was too long. For the Halle, I went to a size 0 (although there was very little different between at 2 and 0) and the 30 inseam fit perfect.

The sizing is really small. Go up AT LEAST one size. I'm usually between a 6 and an 8. I read the other reviews saying this runs small, so I ordered the 8. I need a 10. But they are cute.

Integrity: lacking The Kuhl brand has some cool threads. So why do they do such a poor job of stitching them? Buttons were falling off. Other stitching frayed. Convenience: Not very The capris use buttons, not snaps. Expect to be bent over for a while while you loop the straps through an eyelet. What a time suck, and distracting - esp on an adventure! Utility: Decent Fabric very light, quick drying, but very wrinkled Pockets stylish, not that deep,

This pants look great for about an hour, then they wrinkle like crazy and stretch out. After the necessary washing each wear ironing is sooo difficult. I wish I would have returned them!

I ordered the Kontra & Vala size 2, the Kendra pants size 4,the Splash pants in size 4, the Splash 11 inch shorts in size 2. The features, fabric and pockets on the Splash styles are much better than any of the others. The Kontra only has 4 pockets. The front pockets are too shallow to be useful and the back pockets and roll-up tabs button, which is a pain. The Splash has 8, all snap except the front hand pockets, which is much more functional for hiking. Both the size 2 & 4 in Splash fit me, while the 2s in the Kontra & Vala were way too snug. And the Kendra was too plain-featured for the price. Sent all those back, kept the Splash pants & shorts. I'm 5'2", 107, slim hips, shorter torso.
