Really well done web belt. Nice because the end is sealed. But that means you can't adjust it. I have a 32-34" waist. I ordered a medium an found it too long, the excess was past my pocket. So I returned the medium and ordered the small. The small is perfect with about 4" after the buckle when it's tightened. Perfect. Black with the contrasting stitching is sharp. I'd say the medium is good for 36" to 40" waist. Small up to 34".

I wear a 32 waist and the small was just right. The quality is good and the closure fits tight. The material is pretty stiff when new so it takes a little work to get the belt through the buckle. I believe it will loosen up and become more flexible with use.

Looks good and works well, to begin with. However, after repeated use, the belt begins to slip/loosen. As a result, my belt has worn significantly along the top side of the tail end due to constantly having to re-tighten the belt. It is only fair to note that the wear pictured is after 4 years of everyday use. Nonetheless, in terms of sustainability, this is clearly not ideal. I would gladly pay more for a better, more durable product. A work in progress.

Be careful about the size. The large is actually 40 inches! I have a 33 inch waist and had to return for the medium.
I'd also recommend:
More Arcteryx, some Patagonia, definitely Kuhl pants.

I have a 38" waist, and the Medium size gives me four to five extra inches to spare. The belts (I bought a dark blue one with a light blue buckle, and a black one with a black buckle) are well made, and at two inches wide they easily accommodate my clip-on iPhone case, as well as my camera clip.

If you have a 38" waist, you may want to pass on this belt. Large just wasn't large enough for my style. Yes, it works for a 38" waist but an inch or two more would make it perfect. Price could be better too.

This is a great belt. Very sturdy. I ordered a M and a L to see which would fit better, as a lot of reviews suggested sizing discrepancies. As for the difficulty with tightening, I can understand what other reviewers were saying but it's not impossible once you get the hang of it. It's a very handsome and versatile belt. My only qualm is that Zappos sent me the wrong color. I had ordered "nautic grey 2" and they sent me "nautic grey". "Grey 2" is significantly darker. Unfortunately, I need the belt for a trip I'm taking at the end of this week and there wasn't enough time to get an exchange for the proper color. It is my hope that Zappos will, as a gesture of goodwill, do something to make up for its blunder. Otherwise, a great purchase.

I wanted a belt for hiking and hoped this would fit the bill. It is constructed with quality nylon, my one dislike is how bulky it looks when your shirt is not tucked in. Although it has no teeth to hold it in place, once it is put through the belt buckle it seems to hold it well.

Excellent belt. Has a nice thickness and is an inch and a half wide. Very sturdy feeling and should last a long time.

Great alternative to a casual leather belt to wear with jeans. The all black nylon strap and buckle with the subtle red stitching really pops, especially with black jeans. I found no issues sliding the strap through the buckle like other reviewers. The 1 1/2 inch width of the belt is ideal for the belt loops of jeans. This belt is really well made, and Arc'Teryx always makes top quality items. Very pleased with this purchase.

Really like the style of this belt. Don't like that you can't cinch it down very well.

Have had this belt for a couple of months now. Honestly, the webbing is so thick, if you need to unbuckle or tighten the belt, it's a massive pain. And because it's so clunky, it's difficult to get a refined, perfect tightness. Much better belts out there, especially for the money.

Bought this last summer but only used it a few times. Materials are high quality but you need to adjust the tension quite often. The webbing is sliding through the buckle far too easy. Simply not enough friction in the buckle

The belt wip tip was broken within an hour of taking out of the box. It was the only size and it was over a 1' too long.

I hesitated to buy this belt given more than a few reviews stating it was hard to adjust and didn't work. I do not possess extraordinary dexterity. It took me about 10 seconds to learn how to cinch the belt. It's easy to put on and adjust. It holds very well once in place. I just don't see the problem others mention. What attracted me to this belt was the small buckle size - it doesn't dig in when you bend over. It's a good belt.

The fit is awesome as well as the size. I will actually purchase a bigger size for the best fit but this is definitely a great purchase. I purchased the second one for a friend & will be purchasing more for everyone including myself! Thank you ?

Belts, we all need them but don't think about them!? I did the same thing until this belt! It does the job of course, but it looks fantastic and is durable as hell! I love the easy threading buckle and that it doesn't slip. That drives me crazy and this belt has figured out how to not let it happen.

I wear this belt everyday in a business casual environment but it also works well dressed down with jeans. Doesn't wear out like a leather belt would, very convenient, definitely recommend.
