I wore these the other day and a friend shrieked and told me I looked like I was a model from a catalog. I'll take it! Oh yes, it was the boots. Coolest looking things I've ever owned. They're thick, heavy leather, distressed perfectly, with heavy metal zips and snaps. These things look like a really cool movie version of what a desperado would wear. I'm Dirty Harry in these boots. I'll kick your butt and not even drop my cigarillo! They're made in Mexico and they're not some soft as butter wimpy-ass leather boots either. They smell like a fine saddle! The guys who made these had to have outfitted the Zapatistas in the Mexican Revolution. These things would've made it through the civil war. I swear I've seen my pair in an old tintype somewhere. My only wish is that they came in half-sizes. I'm a 6.5 and had to go with the 7 as a 6 in another style had me standing on the zipper. I clomp a little, but that only adds to the effect.

Oh I love them. I usually wear 8.5. I ordered size 8 and they fit like a glove. It is a little hard to slip my feet inside them, but since they are made of genuine leather they will stretch. I browse million pair of different combat/biker/western boots and Crosby is perfect! You can wear them with maxi dress, jeans, harem pants and they look fabulous. I am in love!

I thought these were the coolest looking boots and was so excited when I ordered them. I was so disappointed when I could not even get them on. I tried and tried and I have slender feet! Sadly I sent them back. If the manufacturer could just add a side zipper or give them a little more room, they would have the perfect boot.

I thought these boots looked uber cool online. It had good reviews, free shipping, and free returns (although I didn't anticipate returning) so I went ahead and bought it. The worn look was just taken a bit too far for me and the toes' upturned and lived-in look contorted my foot into a weird angle so it was awkward to walk in. Not easy on/off at all and was small for my regular 8. The shaft (I measured it from heel to top before ordering) still seemed too short for me when I tried it on and I'm only 5'4". Edgy and cool, but I just couldn't pull it off. I just looked like I spent a day clam-digging or shelling. I'm finding it hard to pack it up, but sadly it will be returned. Sob. Back to zappos to hunt for another pair.

So great to just throw on and go about your day. They complement all wardrobes and have a lived in feel about them. Loved them so much I bought them in two colors.

OMG - I love these. They were hard to get on the first few times but now the leather has stretched and side on easily. They are true to size and super comfortable.

This is a great looking boot that is comfortable but needs more cushioning. That's easy enough to fix. The toe box is wide which works great for me. I've only worn them twice but so far am happy.

Runs a little small, but not too bad. I love the slouchiness of this boot and how rustic it looks.

Love the old, worn, classic look of these boots. Very uncomfortable, too stiff and tight feeling right out of the box, but I liked the style enough that I wore them around the house to see if they would loosen up, and after only a half hour or so they did and now they are very comfy and I wear them everywhere all the time. My only complaint is the sole is smooth leather which can get slippery in the rain or on slopes, especially with my 80 lb puppy tugging on his leash.

Free People sells this boot, that's how I originally saw it. I shopped around for a better price and found it on Zappos of course! Can't go wrong with free shipping both ways. The boots are awesome. I've worn them every day since getting them. Only down side is one boot is much harder to get on than the other (almost as bad as some Frye boots). I'm sure it will stretch out some. Otherwise mine are true to size. I'm a solid 9 and the 9 fits perfectly. 100% leather everywhere. Even has a small leather pocket sewn on the inside of the boot for money and such. I have the black and the leather is soft but stiff enough to stand. It's getting a little slouchier with wear. Mine were more distressed than pictured. I think these boots look better in person than online. I have 13.5 inch calves and there's room but not too much room. The soles are thick and don't bend much. Makes you feel like a badass biker chick. Great for all seasons with leggings, jeans, dresses, shorts.

Once again Zappos rocks! Lickety split shipping, another pair of awesome boots. You guys are so fun! Love these boots. I already reviewed the "tan" color when I got those, but should also say, love the fit and love the style. Freebird rocks too! I usually wear a 6 or 6 1/2 but read reviews about them being tight. Not! But I always wear thick Dr. Scholls in my boots so with those, I bought a size 7! Perfect. Again, love you Zappos and Freebird Boots. Keep my account open, I'll be back.

These boots are absolutely amazing! I ordered the tan color, and I just love the worn, distressed leather. Looks like they have been my favorite boots for years! I usually wear a size 8 in most boots, and ordered a size 8 and they fit just perfectly. Yes, a "tad" snug at first when trying to put on and take off - which you want - but quality, genuine leather wears in with time which makes them fit like a glove! Also by unbuckling the buckle on the shaft of the boot gives you more room to work with when trying to put on/take off these boots if they are too tight for you at first. I did not have to unbuckle them, but if needed they do allow for more room. I have plenty of room in the toe and foot bed to wear wool socks if I wanted to. These boots are so versatile, and look great in my skinny jeans and leggings, and can't wait for the weather to warm up to wear with a jean jacket and sundress in the springtime! I cannot rave enough about these wonderful boots!

Best boots I've ever had (and I have many...just ask Zappos!). These run a whole size too small. I had to exchange my regular size 8 for a 9, and although I had a hard time getting them on (because there is no zipper), once I got them on they were comfortable right out of the box. I wore them all day today with no problems. I absolutely love the vintage look! These boots look and feel like a pair you've had for years. Get them, you'll love them too!

I have really wide, flat feet with bunions (yes, terrible!), skinny ankles and muscular calves at 13.75in. I have a horrible time finding boots that fit and these were amazing! I normally wear a 7.5/8 wide or even ww and these in an 8 were a tiny tiny bit too long but easily fixed with a pad in the heel. Maybe because my arch/instep is so low I had no trouble at all with getting these on - I think for others who had trouble it was not actually with width but the height of their insteps. The toe box is quite roomy once your foot is inside. I never ever thought I'd spend this much on shoes but when your feet are like mine and you find awesome boots like these you'll keep them! By the way, they are very distressed in a way I love but beware if you don't want boots that look like they've been worn.

I got these boots on a Wednesday put them on immediately and loved them! First let me say they were a little tight over the instep but after two days they are significantly looser. The leather is really soft and pliable around the leg and ankle. No digging in like stiffer styles do. I have a pretty thick calf and these pull up nicely and I can tuck my jeans in. Wore them today for for hours running around after the kids at a children's museum and they felt great. Literally they have been superbly comfortable right at of the box. I wear a size ten and these were just right. Plenty of room in the toe and no slip in the heel when I walk. The black of the leather is a bit faded and the distressing looks really good. The first day I wore them my hairdresser asked how many years I'd had them. Overall an excellent boot for the money.

LOVE these boots. So glad I returned the Freebird Saddle boots and got these instead. More comfortable and I love the distressed look on these. It wasn't as extreme as the distressing on the Saddle boots. Very happy.

As in, my dream boots! I've been searching for a pair of exceptionally well made, but worn out-looking tan boots like this for a long time, and ordered them sight-unseen, based on the reviews. I got the boots today, immediately put them on and have not taken them off since. The foot bed is a little stiff now (to be expected) and they did require some pulling to get my socked foot past the shaft (compared to no pulling in a zippered boot), but from a sitting position, it wasn't too bad, and should only get easier once the leather becomes more pliable. Speaking of leather, it is thick, sewn beautifully, smells like a dream and (tan boot) is exactly as represented in the images. (And to my delight, there's a discreet little leather pocket sewn into the top of each boot, for cash/ID, maybe?) My calves are a little on the larger side, so there's not as much slouch/gapping against my legs as in some photos I've seen, but even buckled as shown, I have plenty of room (with wool socks on, even) and I'm betting I could even get them over some skinny jeans (if I had any). They're poking out from under my bootlegs now, and I cannot wait to pair them with some flouncy, feminine dresses and a jean jacket! Just *LOVE* these boots; grab a pair NOW, while they last!

I just got these. They are perfect . I read a bunch of reviews about not being able to get them on so I was worried because I have a very wide foot and high instep. They went right on and they are very cool looking . I used to only buy Old Gringo boots. Too much money for a boot with no insole and they hurt your feet. I found the Freebird brand about a year ago and now I`m hooked.

I love my new boots. They look great! I Especially love the worn-in-look. I did get my normal size 9 and they fit perfect. I know some people did go down a half a size but I didn't want to take the chance, so I stuck with my usual size. I have been wearing the boots with jegging and skinny jeans and they look super cool. I couldn't be happier with the look and feel as if they were designed for me.

I've been looking for a comfy pair of black mid-heights boots for a long time and couldn't be happier with these. They were a little hard to get on the first few times, but have loosened up just enough to slip in and out of, but still feel they're secure on my feet.

I read all the reviews and I love the style so of course I ordered them since I am a boot lover forever. Unfortunately I could not get them on and had to return them. I tried everything and just could not get them on but I highly recommend these boots. The character of the boots and the broken in look are everything I look for in a good boot but just can't find until now. I'll keep looking for that perfect boot!

I HAVE to start by raving about Zappos! I ordered my boots late Friday Dec. 14. I ordered regular 5 business day delivery. I looked up the progress of delivery on Sunday Dec. 16. I was surprised to see they were being sent for free 2 business days delivery. I figured even though they sent them on sat, it would be at least Tuesday because of the business days needed for delivery. I was so excited that I checked Monday morning, Dec 17th and learned they had already been delivered!! During the busy Christmas holidays my boots had come!! The BOOTS!! I wear size 10, sometimes I need to go up to 10.5 because my right foot is a tad bigger. That makes for a bad fit on my left foot, usually to big. This happens a lot and it drives me crazy. Theses boots fit perfect! Both feet are happy! The adjustment straps on ankle and top of boot both work well to help get the perfect fit! Usually the straps look cute, however; they don't make much difference in the fit. Theses boots are so so so cute. I got the black and they are not to distressed, but enough to look like they have been your favorite boots for awhile. The leather is soft and they smell like heaven. I can't wait to try on with a cute little skirt or dress. They look amazing with my straight leg jeans. There is enough room to get my jeans tucked in and I really like how far they come up which is like 3/4ths up. I could keep going on and on because I really am happy with service and boots, but I am going out to show these puppies off!

Just received my boots, tan size 10. LOVE THEM! Another reviewer mentioned how hard they were to get on. I have no arches so thought they would be easy to get on but no. I tried various ways but could not get my foot in until it occurred to me to undo the instep buckle -and voila! They are very comfortable and look amazing. As hard as they were to get on at first they are very easy to get off. I am extremely satisfied with these boots and plan to wear them a lot!

Great pair of boots. I read the reviews and took days to decide if I should take a chance and order these. I am so glad I did. The minute I opened the box I knew I would keep them. I usually wear a 6 or 6 1/2, but because there's only whole sizes available, I ordered the 7. I put a thick pair of Dr Scholls in my boots and they are perfect! No problem getting my foot in and probably the most comfortable boots I now own. I have a pair of Old Gringos and a couple pair of Frye engineer boots but they do not compare to the comfort of my new Freebird boots. Love them.

They are rugged and edgy and comfortable! I have been shopping around for my first pair of distressed boots. Let me tell you, I have larger than normal calves (16½")and ordered the Frye veronica Slouch, and the Frye Veronica Back Zip and although I did love the color they did not fit my calfs and the shape of the toe was narrower then I like so back in the mail they went. These Freebrid Crosbys are perfect and also cheaper. Oh and there is a secret side pocket in the inside, I do not know for what but I like it! They fit but if they do not they break in, so do not freak out if they are slightly tight.
