Always get compliments on these shoes. I applied the manufacturer's recommended care product at time of purchase and they still look brand new after two winters. My only complaint is that they run small.

Really great shoes that have withstood three wet west coast winters (with one application, when new, of the protectant Scarpa recommended in the shipping box). They look great, have solid traction and comfortable soles, and people always complimented them; even strangers would comment on my shoes.

Very comfortable, looks great. The tongue cuts a little into my ankle, but it's not super noticeable after wearing for a while. I imagine it will soften with time.

I really want to like these shoes, but I'm not having the same experience as everybody else here. These things hurt terribly. The back of the shoe is way too high and curls in a bit, causing it to rub against the back of my ankle if I wear them for more than two or three hours at a time. For some reason (I really like the style), I'm sticking it out and haven't returned them. Heel inserts and Moleskin have helped a bit, and I'm trying to be optimistic that they'll eventually break in.

Well, the fit was actually very good. The problem I had is the strangely shaped shoe tongue which is unnecessarily wide and rock hard at the corners where it is stitched. It wound up digging in very uncomfortably near my ankles. I tried these around the house for a while and they actually began hurting pretty badly where the corners of the tongue were compressed. Only one other reviewer seemed to have this problem and everyone else was thrilled, so I'm sure the shoe is great for most people. It's a shame, because they look very well built and the style is great. I can tell they'd be super comfortable too if it wasn't for that one issue I was having. I say give them a shot. If you don't have the same problem, you'll probably be really happy with these. Oh well... The search continues...

I love the look and my left foot (slightly smaller than my right foot) is comfortable enough, but my big toe on my right foot is just a tad to close to the end. When compared to my pair of a North Face shoes they’re noticeably smaller

The first time I put them on they felt a bit tight. After a brief walk, they were very comfortable. I really like the simple but sophisticated style. And...in Italian, Scarpa means shoe.

They fit well despite my problems with arthritic toes. I ordered one size up to be sure I had plenty of toe room and it worked. They are very comfortable. Plus they look good too! They are almost all charcoal grey without a lot of contrast color details that I did not want.

Shoes were exactly what I needed. Great low profile style. Used for traveling overseas, walking quite a bit in airports. Around town and even at a casual dinner, they were perfect. Definitely would recommend.

I just got back from a trip to Denmark and wore these shoes for almost all of the 13 days. We must have walked a hundred miles in that time and these shoes were perfect. They have great stability an are more rugged than a normal sneaker but not as stiff as a hiking shoe. I'm going to order another pair in the second color. I did use an arch support as I have high arches. You can't go wrong with this shoe!!

Love my new shoes. It is the third pair of Scarpa that I have purchased, all three different styles. Have had to repair the first two a bit, I wear them very hard, the nice thing is that they repair well. Love Zappos. Great company.

Just bought my second pair, first held up very well with heavy use. I like the style as a sneaker alternative.

I just received these shoes snd they are great. My feet feel very relaxed as soon as I put them on, and they look cool, just like in the picture. I love these shoes and will now be a scarpa customer for life!

Great shoes! Very stylish and comfortable. I wear 10.5 order 10.5 and they fit perfect. This is My first pair of Scarpia's will definitely buy this brand again!

Great shoe, very comfortable. Bought before a trip to Europe. Never had any foot discomfort as I often do with new shoes and we must have walked for what felt like 100 miles thorough cities and museums. I would definitely buy again but wish they had more colors to chose from.

Comfortable right out of the box. Great styling - this is scarpa's sneaker with a hiking boot style. Don't expect much in the way of traction, the sole is relatively smooth. Perfect for walking around in colder weather.

This is my second pair of these shoes, and frankly they are so hard wearing, I find I'm still using the original pair for the weekends. Think of these shoes as an upscaled chuck, which are perfectly at home in smart casual office settings, but which also have the grunt and build to get you through a long commute in any weather, on street or trail. I applied one coat of water proofing to the uppers last year, and they still look great. Size runs true. If you like their understated style, these babies won't disappoint.

This a my second pair of Scarpa sneakers. They are light and comfortable with great support and style. They fit me like a glove. I like their unique style as well. Sneakers designed and built by Italians! Wonderful!

Run small. I liked the style but order a half size up.

PROS: Soft leather makes for a comfy fit that flexes to your foot/toe shapes. Comfortable overall. CONS: Slightly shapeless look; looks a little more like a sock than a shoe when wearing. Also doesn't offer much lateral support/stability because of this. Partial-white outsole is an odd choice, as it will get filthy immediately with use (why not all-black outsole?).

It looks just as good as the pictures. Really nice shoe in both design and build quality. Unfortunately, I too find it to be a bit uncomfortable. I like the look enough to hope they break in. They do run on the small side by maybe 1/2 size.

So, just got this pair of Scarpa's. They look great and at first blush putting them on they felt good. But very quickly I found that they felt very rooming in the toe. They were the correct size because my toe fit where it should, it was the toe...they fit like a boot not like a shoe. I will keep them because, well, I wore them outside. But if you want a "shoe" fit these might not be for you.

I've been wearing these regularly for a little over a year and they were great at first. Recently, however, the sole of the right shoe has worn down considerably in one of the corners of the heel. It's very odd and I've never had a pair of shoes do this. I didn't think much of it, but it's started to affect my stride to the point where my foot and knee start to hurt a bit after a moderate amount of walking. I really liked these shoes, but I'm certainly disappointed that I only got a year out of them given the price. I'd been hoping to get at least a couple more years out of them.
