Unlike other reviewers I found the Amber uncomfortable. Velcro would not stay connected behind one shoe and the material (in cork) was stiff and uncomfortable (straps too long and bulky feel). Most importantly the arch support was not enough for my feet. I discovered Orthaheel many years ago before Vionic purchased the company. I have been a devotee of Orthaheel but sadly I see the quality and comfort declining in many styles as other reviewers have noted. The Tide footbed support was what made the company unique. While everyone needs variation, Vionic has changed the height and shape of the Tide to the point it no longer exists. The Tide 2 is close but still different. If Vionic is listening: please restore the original Orthaheel Tide footbed in different styles and differentiate to the customer what level of support they will be getting in each style. Also, I believe customers would pay to have better quality (softer /more comfortable) materials. Would be nice to have dressier styles with height - something on a platform with (similar to) Tide support!

Great shoe. Great arch support. I didn't like the part with the decoration on the strap going down the middle, but it slides right off. Now I love them with just the three cross straps.

I love these sandals. I have bad Plantar fasciitis, and the arch support is wonderful. I needed a pair of white sandals that I could walk around in all day, and these fit the bill. They came right out of the box ready to wear. I love how each strap is adjustable, so these shoes fit my very narrow heels and very wide toes.

I was pleasantly surprised by these sandals as they are much prettier than the picture. Notice the pretty round decorations where each strap crosses. They are adjustable in 4 ways - 3 across the top plus the back, so I anticipate no rubbing anywhere. The arch support is excellent. I expect these to be good walking sandals.

I love this style, and it was extremely comfortable, with great arch support for my flat feet, roomy enough for a bunion, and the heel didn't hurt my heel spurs at all, BUT the Velcro was already detaching itself from the straps. I have two other pairs of the old orthaheel, and it took two years for the Velcro to detach. I tried two pairs but no difference. I have never not liked an orthaheel sandal before,I hope the recent buyout of the company has not effected shoe quality.

Best sandal I have ever worn! I have chronic plantar fasciitis and narrow flat feet, I wear orthotics in regular shoes so wearing sandals is usually difficult. I decided to try these after seeing good reviews on the orthopedic support that Vionic shoes offer. They felt comfortable so I took them on vacation. I was able to walk all day around Mount Rushmore wearing these and I had no pain! I also like that you can adjust all the straps for a custom fit. Very supportive sandal without the old lady look.

Very pleased with these sandals for my in-need-of-arch-support, aging, bunioned, plantar fasciitis-prone feet! That said, also love the infinitely (well, almost) adjustable straps, and the fairly fashionable look of these very comfortable sandals. Will probably get more Vionic styes in the future. And, finally, kudos, yet again, to Zappos super service!

I read about these shoes on a travel blog and wore them for days of touring through Florence and Rome, over the cobblestone roads in crazy heat, and they were fantastic! My feet are a little tired at the end of the day, but I don’t feel it while I’m walking. No chaffing from the straps. They fit as they should.

I can't begin to tell you how much I love these sandals. I have severe rheumatoid arthritis. I've had many surgeries on my feet. I suffer from completely flat feet. I have a large neuroma on my right arch, and my right ankle joint is collapsing as well. My left foot has a medium sized bunion so I have to have wide shoes. I also have hammertoes 2,3,4,&5 on each foot and suffer from corns on my 4th toes. I have NEVER been able to find any type of shoe that looks halfway decent with dressy attire. I can't wear any heel and no dress shoe ever fits my custom orthotics from my surgeons office. I can't even wear a gym shoe w/o them! This sandal is amazing!! I can wear them the entire evening and I love that they come in different colors (wish the had an all white one) but I'm not picky!! I ordered every color!!! Truth be told I cried when they fit and they looked as good as they did and they didn't hurt after walking down my hallway. Sounds silly but I always hated going anywhere nice bc I could only wear my gym shoes with orthotics. I really would like to thank the makers of bionic shoes. Now, I actually can wear a knee length dress and have my feet show. And I'm not embarrassed. All bc I had to fine "nude shoes" for a wedding I'm in... They might to be exactly nude but the bride is very empathetic and understands how hard it is for me w shoes. She even told me to wear my gym shoes. God love her! I'm so happy I found these I'm going to explore the other vionics as well!! I do wear an 8.5 wide in a gym shoe bc my feet swell and I need a large toe box... I actually measure a 7/7.5 wide and I ended getting a 7wide in these. The straps are awesome bc each one it Velcro! So I can adjust as they swell! I can't say enough! Love them. I'm also getting rid of my Birkenstoks and ordering the bionic slippers bc they were my house shoes anyway.

have severe knee pain due to lower limb misalignment and my doctor advised shoes with very firm arch support. I can't afford a custom orthotic, but he said that many arch supports on the market do just as well. I bought these shoes on the advice of others who praised vionic for the arch support. They were not wrong. I wore these on vacation all over the pacific northwest, and wear them 1-2 times a week at my job where I'm standing for my entire 10-12 hour work day. The pain in my legs is significantly reduced and my feet also feel good. I LOVE these sandals. They are also the first "orthopedic" sandals I've owned that aren't ugly as sin. Please Vionic, keep making these forever.

If you have a problem with a high arch or narrow foot this is fabulous. Relief of nerve pain and it's good looking not "oldlady". I love the shoe!

So glad I bought these! Love them. The first time this old lady with plantar fascitis, narrow heals and wider across the toes has been able to wear anything other than Altra brand tennis shoes with extra cushioning. I'm sold on these shoes and may get another pair. I like them so well I wear them in the house because I need the arch support. Unlike tennis shoes, they don't make my feet sweat in the summer.

I had planter faciatis and don’t want it back. These sandals feel great on my feet, especially my heels. This is the second time I’ve bought this style. I wore the first pair so much that I felt they were getting worn down. I wear them with shorts, capris and summer dresses. They do need a little breaking in. The straps have so many adjustments that they can fit just about anyone.

So, after waffling for months and months about whether to keep these or not, I decided because of the arch support and the great adjustability of the fit, that yes, I would keep them... and started wearing them around the house. Big mistake! The reviews that talk about the misery of the scratchy stiff upper straps are so right! So they are back in their box and I am heading out to the UPS store (with mask and gloves, as this is Covid-19 shelter-in-place time). Thank goodness for Zappos great return policy. But they really should have a category under “reason for return” that reads “unbearably uncomfortable”...

These sandals fit me perfectly. I ordered a 10wide. The material is strong with the Velcro allowing me to adjust the entire shoe to my foot. Love the arch support that Vionic offers.

This is my 6th or 7th pair of Ambers over the past few years. Hands down the most comfortable, useful sandal I've ever worn on these wide, plantar fasciitis prone feet. The multiple adjustable straps are well placed. I walked all over Italy for 3 months in a heat wave in these and stayed comfortable. You do need to make sure the velcro is firmly pressed together but it really does hold up well. The footbed has solid arch support. I normally wear an 8 1/2 in sandals and 8 1/2 - 9 in closed toed shoes and athletic shoes. The 8 in all Vionic sandals work great. It's all about those adjustable straps!

Hit the the right spots! These were the first shoes I didn't want to take off since my struggle with plantar faciitis started a few months ago. After purchasing a number of different shoes, socks, inserts etc etc since then, thinking they were best i could expect, these brought instant relief! Very wide feet and high arch and instep makes my foot a tough fit, but I'm a vionic girl from here on out. And Zappos customer service, free shipping so I don't have to worry if the sizing needs to be adjusted make me loyal to them too. Thanks

I was seeking a good-looking, neutral colored sandal with good arch support (because my orthotics don't work in sandals) and this shoe in the cork was just right. I first tried the 8 (my regular size), but it was too big. Then I tried the 7W, and it was too wide. But the 7M was perfect. I felt like Goldilocks finally finding a comfortable bed. I was most impressed by the arch support, because I can wear these sandals without my orthotics. I gave the shoe only 4 stars for style because -- like so many of the new, popular sandals -- they look wide and clunky. Fortunately, that's the style today! And the slight touch of design in the dull gold at the middle of the straps distracts from the velcro, making the shoes appear less orthotic. I'm happy that I have the right shoe for summer.

I love these! After a short amount of time - less than a month, the velcro started fraying and losing its "stick." I have tried everything, but it just gets worse. I am still wearing them though!

Nice looking shoe and like that everything was adjustable and I ike that you could remove the middle strip with the stones but the sole felt too hard. I didn’t find them comfortable.

Very pretty shoes. Great arch support but it hit me in the wrong spot. My arches are further back - strangely this arch support was too far forward. Hard to explain, but back they went.

I TRIED my best to "Like" these Vionics.......but I am returning them. The edges of the straps are scratchy and stiff. I really LOVE the stiffer sole with the "Flower" pattern and the support of the wonderful arch. But I could NOT see having to line each strap with Moleskin OR felt in order to wear them. It is a shame that they are not made with leather OR a softer material. I just ordered 2 other Vionic styles and hopefully they will work out better. My feet: wide toes, narrow heels, high arch.

I did not think this was a very fashionable shoe it sort of reminds me of the Teva water sandals from years ago. But I was looking for a sandal that had enough support so as to avoid having to wear my custom orthotics. I purchased my usual size 9w. The sandal was about 1/2 inch longer than my foot, so I will be returning them. Not sure if I will try a smaller size as the straps seem to be very rigid, digging in to the top of my foot as I walked around the house. I loosened the velcro but that did not help. I am not sure if they will "give" with wear. But the arch support is there.
