I have been wearing barefoot shoes for a couple years now but had not tried the Vibram Fivefingers because they just look so weird! I finally put that aside and tried the KSO EVO and will never look back! I am used to toe socks but I will admit I had about a minute, alright maybe five, when I first put them on that my toes felt mildly claustrophobic. I walked around in them and they were SO comfortable that I adjusted quickly. The KSO EVO's have the thinnest sole in the Vibram line, and while they are really grippy, they do not have any kind of padding on the heels or balls of the feet. I am a walker and have been experiencing some femur, hip, and knee pain for quite a while, but it is almost entirely gone since wearing these shoes! I truly find them to be not just the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn, they are also therapeutic. Having said that, for me, they are best as an everyday shoe and for some light walking, not for the long walks I take. (I just purchased the Vibram V-RUN's for my long walks.) Keep in mind as a barefoot shoe you are not going to have any kind of support because your feet will gain the strength and flexibility you lost from wearing all those 'supportive' shoes that weaken muscles and cause pain and atrophy. I'd also like to say, there is no 'transitioning' to a barefoot shoe. You just have to go barefoot! The real transition is to wear them for a short periods then build up over time. Everyone is different and so will the transition time; it's important to listen to your body. When I switched to barefoot shoes, at first it felt like my feet were popping a wheelie, being completely flat on the ground sans even small heels, but I was in them full-time within a week. I do still think they are weird looking which is the only reason I am giving them 4 out of 5 stars. I have been telling everyone about these shoes and give them two big thumbs up!

This is one of the best pairs of shoes I have ever owned. I suffer from neuromas and other foot issues. My daughter researched on-line for something that would help me with the neuromas I have and told me to give these shoes a try. It took me a good year before I ordered these because, frankly, they are not very pretty looking. The first day of wearing them, I was not quite sure about them. By the second day, I was sold. It has been two weeks. My foot pain is non-existent when I wear these shoes. When I switch back to tennis shoes, I can feel pain again but not as bad as before. The shoes keep my toes aligned and I feel that has worked wonders. They are a bit hard to put on, but I've got the hang of it. Also, the shoes are a bit small because the measuring is a bit tricky. I should have exchanged them for a larger size, but they made my feet feel so good I didn't want to give them up. I have now ordered a second pair in a size up. I also always needed a lot of padding in my shoes to minimize the pain. There is very little padding in these, and they work! They are best for me on dirt and grass. Sidewalk is still a bit hard on my feet, but I'm doing it and I am thrilled. I wish I could sleep in these.

As a fan of Vibram Five Fingers, I couldn't help but purchase these after I fell in love with the black ones of the same style. :) I use these for exercise for the most part. The fit of all KSO's run small according to the size chart on the Vibram Five Fingers Website. After trusting in the size chart & the uses of each shoe on the site, I decided to give it a try. Boy did I make a great choice. :) These shoes are thin but serves its purpose perfectly. They connect you to nature when it comes to walking barefoot. The feel varies for everyone as not everyone's feet are the same. For those who are in a limbo as far as sizing & its uses, I would recommend looking on the Vibram website first because every Vibram Five Finger's style have different uses. Same goes for he sizing. Enjoy!

This is my third pair of FiveFingers purchased to train at the gym in (weights, cardio, etc). I am normally a size 41 in FiveFingers but for these had to go up to a 42, so recommend sizing up a half size. As another size reference I am a Keens size 9 and Nike size 9.5 but here had to take the size marked 9.5-10. These are a little tougher to put on then the FiveFingers that have an open top, but the effort is worth it. Once on they hug the foot, provide great contact with the floor and virtually disappear. If you like a "barefoot" feeling for training I would highly recommend these.

I realize I may be the outlier, but these shoes were made for me. I have had the WORST time trying to find shoes with my wide toe box, that separate my toes so I don't have blisters from them pushing over each other, that still have an arch support. I've had orthopedic shoes made for $500 a pop. NOTHING has ever fit like these. They are so comfortable. Getting the toes in is no different than when you were getting your two year old into mittens - at first it was hard, then they got used to it. This is no different. I slide right into 'em now - no problem. I have seven pair and no more foot pain, knee pain, or hip pain. Walk everywhere in them.

ack!! my first pair of vibrams were a size 40. since i bought that first pair, i can honestly say i don't think i've purchased more than one or two other pairs OR BRANDS of other shoes or boots. i wear vibrams constantly. but i no longer wear a size 40. i moved up to 41 quite a while ago and had at least two pairs at that size. then, a new pair of size 41 didn't fit so i moved up to 42. meanwhile...through the years, all of my other shoes still fit me...so i don't think my feet have actually grown all that much. but i just received a size 42 that doesn't fit at all. i measured the recent, brand new pair next to my current pair of vibrams to find a 3/8" difference; same exact style, same exact color, same size 42. i would give ANYTHING to have these fit. i love these shoes (same style/old pair) so much, i wore them to a black tie wedding under a full length gown! i just found out that there is no size above 42 for women. yikes. i have narrow feet so i can't fill out the mens sizes. but i guess i am going to have to try.

I returned these. I've been wearing VFF for over 3 years now, I'm an avid outdoor runner and lift weights, I can run easily barefooted but choose not too because I like to keep my feet pretty. I kill the traction on the soles of my shoes from running on inclines with gravel, I wanted something more durable but with the minimalist feel. These shoes had high reviews in that regard, I heard they ran small but I kept to my normal sizing. I wear a womens size 9 so I bought a 40, they were snug like a glove and you could see my pedicure through the material because of the stretch, also the fat pad on the soles of my foot hung over the soles of the shoe. I wore them for an hour and my heels started to ache, there is just no cushion love in these shoes. There's also a bare amount of toe protection on the tips which I need a barrier for running trails. Overall they fit like a glove and would be cool for light runs but not my choice for the support and durability I need. Also the bottom design lacks the same anatomical patterns as the other VFF too. So I'm ordering my go to again the Bikila Evo.

They feel interesting but I love em! It takes a couple hours of wearing them to get used to the new sensation of my toes being spread out, and I’d definitely recommend wearing socks with them. Meanwhile, they definitely aren’t the same as going barefoot, but they are closer to being barefoot than any other shoe I’ve ever tried while still protecting the soles of my feet from glass and other sharp things. I also love how weird they look because I feel like I’m a pretty weird person and I like to walk around and get reactions outta people. Biggest advice is go for what feels comfortable for you. Go with the sizing advice for each shoe an duo ur own size, but if it isn’t comfortable then try again with another size. Once you find your size once it’s pretty easy to transfer it to apply to the other Vibrams too. Anyways,Thank you vibram! I’ve wanted these for years!

After six months (and *not* continual use) the material above the toe is wearing. I have a number of 5-fingers, and these are the only ones to break down so quickly. I think this was due to the sizing, which felt smaller than other pairs. Dissappointing.

The current size chart (5/7/20) seems accurate to me. I am a 7.5 to 8 and the size 40 was a half to a whole size too long on my longest foot. (The chart marks a 40 as 8 to 8.5.) Shame I can’t keep them because they’re gorgeous. I am suspicious about how the fabric on the tops would wear, though.

Love them! I'm a woman, normally a size 9 and they fit true to size, even with my long toes. I use them for lifting and for my multiple mile long walks. My PT suggested them to me with my knee problems (I pronate heavily). Ever since I have worn them for my work outs..no more knee pain! Highly highly recommend.

The KMD SPORT LS built thicker and more sturdy than this style as this style gives you much more of a minimal feel. I ordered my regular shoe size for the KMD SPORT LS, but for the KSO EVO, one size smaller than my regular shoe size fit much better. I do not feel any pressure on my arches as I did with the KMD SPORT LS. I have abnormally high arches in my feet though so the KMD SPORT LS might not bother most people. I have been wearing the KSO EVO for two weeks now and they are SOSOSOSO comfortable! I got a blue pair of the KMD SPORT LS and received many funny looks which I don't really mind, but I wanted to buy a black pair so that it would match more clothing and appear more casual than my blue colored pair and let me tell you, I have surprisingly received compliments on how cool they look from most people.

these are great, very comfortable for a barefoot feel with a little protection. The first few times it took me 14 minutes to get my toes in their proper places but now I have it down to about 4 minutes. It definately helps to do the big toes first!

I ordered a 7 which was recommend as being my size (usually a 6.5) and these felt way too small. Returning them for the larger size...crossing my fingers hoping they will fit.

Loved the design. The bottom of the shoe is very flexible and a little thinner than my previous pair. The toes are a tad longer for my feet. Very light, I love that they have a "lace" style and not Velcro that doesn't always fit a foot with a high arch and high instep.

These shoes run so small that it’s like trying to cram an adult foot into a Barbie shoe...crazy! I’m a 5.5 tending towards wide, and I couldn’t even get the 36 on. Trying a 37.

I’ve been running in Fivefingers for over ten years. I used to need knee and ankle supports with traditional running shoes, but the pain went away immediately when I changed to Fivefingers. They are hands-down my favorite running shoe. … and then they changed the footbed to this ridiculous narrow, straight-toed design that looks (and feels) more like a glove for hands than any human foot. The toe sleeves are comically long. The protective rubber that wrapped up onto the front/top of toes in the older models is gone - there’s just a flat bit of rubber on the sole. I’m SO disappointed and just hope I can find and older pair (or three) in good condition in my size on a resale site.

These are so comfortable once you get them on. It feels as though you are barefoot. I find it challenging to seperate my toes to get them in. It takes me a while. But once they are on they are great!
