I love these shoes! I recently developed arthritis in my big toe, and most walking shoes are hideous. These are not only very supportive, they are super cute too! I can walk forever in these shoes without pain. They fit true to size.

I have worn Danskos and Sanitas for more than 8 years, every day. I have multiple clogs and sandals in various colors. I had to switch to Danskos and Sanitas when my feet became so sore, I could barely walk. After switching to these two brands, I can stand for hours and all is well. I have never found a running/athletic shoe that could accommodate my need for arch support until now. I am so thrilled Dansko has made the Shayla shoe. I ordered it in the exact same size # as I always purchase for my shoes and it fits perfectly! In other athletic shoes my feet hurt within minutes. I was able to wear these for hours with similar comfort as my clogs. I could not be happier!

Wow! Finally, a pair of athletic shoes that works for me! After a bout of plantar fasciitis, my foot doctor suggested that I confine myself to Danskos and other rigid clogs. That's fine with me except I have really struggled to find a walking/athletic shoe that is supportive and comfortable. I have tried and returned every previous pair of Dansko sporty shoes but tried again with this pair and finally hit the jackpot. These are great! I initially worried the arch support wasn't enough but I've been wearing them non-stop and my feet don't hurt and my ankles aren't rolling in. They also fit my heel lift for a leg length discrepancy very easily under the insole. They have a very nice amount of cushion too. I am so happy!

These are the best shoes I have found yet. They are the most comfortable out of the box with slip-resistance. I have hammertoes and other foot problems and have a hard time finding comfortable shoes to wear to work in food service. I stand 8-12 hours a day and they are the best I have found yet. All the other slip-resistant shoes I have been able to find do not have any cushioning or bounce to help save the knees, but these are great.

Finally! I've been looking for a real sneaker with enough arch support for years & wondering why it took so long for Dansko to make one. It's so good that I can wear it for walking for miles, or around the house for most of the day. And the sole is supportive without being a plank - it's a rigid plastic-y thing that closely resembles what you find in most sneakers, rather than in most Danskos. Importantly, it also looks like a basic sneaker, rather then the duck-footed style of most Danskos. It's a solidly good-looking sneaker, if not particularly stylish or ultralight. That said, it's not perfect. I've worn a 40 Dansko for years & in lots of styles, so it's what I ordered here as well. And it fit well - sort of. Maybe I'm just used to sneakers having a bigger toe box, but after wearing these for an hour or two, it starts to feel too snug on my toes. If I had to do it over again, I would have at least tried a 41 for comparison - & will the next time I need a pair. I just hope Dansko doesn't discontinue this style like they do with so many!

Thank you to Dansko for making an attractive athletic shoe for those of us dealing with foot problems. I teach in them all day long and my feet do not hurt. They are comfortable, keep my heel stable and provide great arch support.

After trying many brands of sneakers, this is the one for me. I must wear a lift in one shoe, and this shoe accommodates the lift just fine. I wear these shoes almost every day, all day. Dansko is a good brand for me. Of course I love Zappos!

Great sneaker. Comfortable and great arch support. Have not had problems with squeeking. Highly recommend these shoes for high arches!

Very Comfortable and nice looking shoes. I liked that they came with an extra pair of laces in the dark blue color. Only downside is that these shoes have major arch support. I would be afraid to exercise in them. They are fine for standing on my feet all day in the clinic though.

These are the most comfortable athletic shoes I have ever purchased. Great overall support and try to size -- I wear a 12M.

I've been wearing Dansko shoes for years, so I thought I give this sneaker a try. It's very comfortable for walking, has the same good arch support you expect from the name. The black pair came with two shoelaces to pick what color you wanted, was surprised that the light color didn't offer the same.

Absolutely wonderful shoes. I am going to Italy and will be doing lots of walking. I wore these and they were very comfortable and lots of toe room. Great shoe!

My husband gifted me a pair of Dansko Shaylas. Big surprise since I have rarely been pleased comfort wise with any of my athletic walking shoes and I am a-ok to wear my Dansko clogs or sandals to walk in. So what does he do? He buys me a pair of Dansko athletic shoes and let me tell you, Dankso.Shaylas are comfortable! They provide great support, are light, have non-skid soles, a roomy toebed, they are well constructed, and they look cute on. If you like Danskos and are in the market for athletic shoes, Dankso Shaylas are worth a try.

I have been waiting for this style to become available. I had severe plantar fasciitis and only wear Danskos anymore as my arches have recovered by keeping them in Danskos. I have about 10 pairs and mostly wear size 38 for the placement of the arch. In my pre-Dansko days I wore size 7 always. I was so excited to get these shoes in a 38 and danced around the house in them when they arrived. The next morning I got on my treadmill. This is the main reason that I got them. Within 15 minutes I got a blister in the top of my big toe. Another five minutes and I got a blister on the third toe of my other foot. This after tying and retying the shoe, adjusting my socks numerous times and changing socks. I called and asked for a 37 to be shipped to me, thinking that it was too much room in the toe box and the extra room was causing the crease in the shoe to rub on my toes. The size 37 arrived today, and the shoe is too short. I desperately wanted these shoes to work for me. Walking around the house was very comfortable and they, maybe, would be good walking shoes for outside, but this is not why I wanted them. The arch was wonderful, but the toe just did not work on either foot. Very sadly, both pairs are going back and I will continue my quest for Danskos to wear on my treadmill.

No lie--sending back a second pair for a size larger. Way too tight even with thin socks! My food is not overly wide and I have worn Dansko 37's in the past, but even the 38's are unbearably tight! Hopefully 3rd time's the charm with the 39's...

My feet are very happy in these shoes. The arch support is excellent. I am so happy that Dansko is making this style - I am a retired teacher, and wore the clogs almost every day. The tennis shoe style is just what I needed for walking this spring. Thanks to Zappos for excellent service.

I am very happy with these Dansko shoes. I've had hammertoe surgery in the past and have various foot issues, including flat feet. These shoes offer great arch support, along with more than adequate toe box room. I am sold on Dansko!

I've had them for over a week and have worn them everyday so far. They are cute, not bulky, great for casual wear and functional for walking 3 plus miles daily. Most important my feet are not aching by the end of the day. As far as I'm concerned they are worth the money and I'd certainly recommend to a friend.

Purchased these sneakers from Dansko knowing that they would fit, having purchased other Dansko shoes. I can hardly walk without a good arch support and now have arthritis in my feet. I can now shop, yeah for Dansko!

I suffered a broken foot years ago and have a lot of trouble with that foot. These shoes are Awesome. Put them on to go on long walks Day 1 and never looked back. Totally comfortable and supportive and they are wearing well. I did have to return the first pair because they run about a half size small. Dansko is all I can wear because of my foot and this is the first time I have had to go up a size.

The shoes are great in every way. However, I would suggest you check Amazon before you purchase. After purchasing 2 pairs of these shoes from Zappos, I found the same shoes on Amazon for a pair cheaper.

This is my second pair of Shaylas. I put many miles on my first pair, with all the dog walks I do throughout the day. They are by far, the most comfortable walking shoes, I ever purchased. I normally do not spend so much on shoes, but these Dansko Shaylas, are worth every penny. I just got back from a Hawaiian cruise. Even though, I took sandals along, I wore my Shaylas throughout each and every day. They were perfect for walking around the ship's deck and for all the shore excursions I took. I always felt safe, secure and comfortable walking in them. As soon as I got back, I ordered another pair, just as my back up pair, so whenever these shoes are ready to be retired, I have my next pair of Shayla's ready to hit the pavement.

Love this shoe! Wonderful arch support, comfortable and good looking. I use to walk about 18-20 miles per week.

I am a nurse and I have never been able to wear Dansko clogs due to my large foot size(12 women's)and my foot just never seemed to fit right in the clog. I have always worn a name brand tennis shoe at work but thought I would give these Dansko Shayla's a try. I am on my feet 10 + hours a day. This shoe is slightly heavier then the tennis shoe I normally wear but the support in the arch is HEAVEN!! When I take these Dansko's off at night, my feet feel good, foot swelling is minimal and my feet feel wonderful! Definitely a great shoe for people on their feet a lot.
