These shoes are comfortable, but there is a huge drawback. They squeak when I walk. The squeaking occurs over all types of surfaces. They even squeak when I work the pedals in my car. The squeaking is not coming from the bottoms of soles, but rather the fabric of the shoes. At first, I thought the squeaking would subside once the shoes were broken in. Wrong! If anything, the squeaking has become even worse with use. The squeaking is so annoying, don't want to wear them anymore. Buyer beware.

Just what I was looking for. I was looking for a "sneaker" with some style and ordinary "shoe sense," when I found these on Zappos (my favorite shoe store). They do look stylish and like most other Ecco shoes I've worn, the footbed feels fine all day. Even with my flat feet! In spite of my wide (EE) feet, these shoes fit fine, although I won't be wearing them with very heavy socks. This is a fine shoe for NY City's Spring, Summer and Fall. I do a lot of walking, but still want to look stylish when I walk into a nice neighborhood eatery. If a sophisticated "up-scale" sneaker sounds like a good fit to you, give these a try!

Sometimes you need comfort and still want to look like a grown-up. This is a grown-up sneaker that allows you the ability to walk six miles to a nice restaurant. This shoe strikes the perfect balance between comfort and style. It's super supportive but not quite as springy soft as a running shoe.

Extremely comfortable walking shoe. Overall 4 stars instead of 5 because they are the loudest, squeakiest shoes I've ever owned. I've oiled and powdered, but still talking to me every step. Too comfy to give up, though.

They fit. They're comfortable, but after a couple weeks, and I wear socks, they smell like cat urine. My feet don't smell, the six other pair of shoes I wear don't smell, it's just these shoes. I have to find some kind of deodorizer if I'm to continue to wear them.

My shoes also smell. At first I thought the cat had peed on them, but even after a vigourous wash in bleach, they still smell. My feet don't smell and my other shoes don't smell. The smell on these shoes is strongest on the outside, not the inside where shoes normally smell. My wife can smell these across the room while I'm wearing them!

It really doesn't matter which Ecco Biom shoe you buy they are all comfortable from the moment you put them on. For me there is no break in period - just put them on and start walking, from their golf shoes to their casual shoes. I won't buy anything else but Ecco Biom. By the way, this is a good looking shoe.

Good quality but more to work on ergonomic aspect. You put the heel on the ground and then when you put the rest of the sole to the ground it is a little bit clumpy move. That is why when you walk on a hard surface you make noise.

I bought a pair at the outlet store in Michigan Squeak! City. They are SQUEAK very comfortable. The do have a SQUEAK problem with the shoe Squeak. I took the shoes back SQUEAK to the store because they squeaked when i walked. The store assured me that I was just an odd duck. I showed them how they squeaked when I made any sort of movement with the shoe on all floor types. The squeak come from the different type of leathers rubbing on the tongue of the shoe. They oiled the tongue for me and it went away for 4 hours. Squeak came back the next day. I oiled the shoe with the liquid gold Ecco oil leather treatment. Squeak came back 1 day later. I am taking the shoes back now. They are very comfortable but the squeak is unbearable.
