I have been in severe pain due to high unsupported arches, overpronation of the ankles, bunions, arthritis, and plantar fasciitis for over a year but these shoes were a dream come true for me. I had pretty much given up on ever being able to walk normal again even with my Superfeet insoles and some days I even had to use crutches. I was seeing a foot and ankle doctor and had purchased the Power Step insoles in his office and finally at his urging I researched the best type of shoe for my many issues and finally settled on these 515's. Amazingly enough, I could walk almost normal on the first day and after breaking in the left shoe because of my bunion, I could walk with no pain on day two! Sometimes I come home from work and almost resort to putting these shoes back on because my feet feel so much better in them. Now for the fit and quality. First of all, they are nice deep colors and very nice quality materials. I was extremely impressed and was expecting the colors to be washed out or the material to be flimsy once they arrived but the opposite was true. The stitching was tight, the material was great, and they ran true to size for my size 10 foot with plenty of room in the toe box even with my painful bunions. I did have to wait for one day for the shoe to mold around the bunion but it was bearable and fast to do so. The insoles are removable so I didn't even need to order a size up to be able to put my Power Step insoles in them immediately and with the firm, non-yielding support of the sole and the sides, my ankles don't turn in at all. I only gave the shoe 3 stars for the arch support because they don't squash down but they don't have much of an arch in them. Instead they provide stability and if you want an arch then use an insole because that was a major feature for me since you don't want to use an orthotic insole in addition to an existing arch in the shoe. I know this review is long but I wanted to cover all of the bases since they have made life bearable for me again and I am so grateful...I am planning on getting several more pairs in different colors!

I ordered these in the grey/mint green color. I love the color scheme, and while this is a lower profile than some sneakers, it still definitely looks like an athletic shoe and not a fashion sneaker. Still, I like it for casual jeans and shorts outfits. I usually wear an 8 in sneakers and boots, 7.5 in dress shoes and sandals, and ordered this in an 8. It does fit but there's not as much space at the end of my toes as I'm used to -- if in doubt, go up half a size. I have super high arches/insteps, narrow heels, and mild hammertoes. I replaced the removable insoles with my own orthotics (so I can't really comment on the shoe's built in arch support). The shoes fit great right out of the box; my only complaint is that sometimes the top of the shoe bumps against the bottom of my ankle bone a little -- however, this is with my orthotics so I don't know if I'd have the same problem with the built-in insoles. Overall they are still a comfy shoe I can wear all day.

Great shoes! Suggest half size up. I ordered both 6.5 and 7 (normally I wear 6.5), and the 7 worked out perfectly!

Very comfortable but even more adorable! I use Super Feet insoles, which fit perfectly into the shoe. I've been wearing these shoes nonstop for weeks now and they've never needed a break-in period. I can't say enough good things about them!

I gave these to my mom for her birthday and she loved them! I have a pair myself and I get complements all the time. They are very retro and stylish. They are also unbelievably comfortable and light-weight. Definitely order a half-size larger than what you typically wear...my mom's normal 8.5 was too small so we sent them back for 9s. Zappos was great as usual and all the shipping was free 2-day.

These shoes are great. They fit true to size, excellent arch support. Great for walking long distances. I have a wide foot and a very high arch and these worked great for me. Great style.

I bought this shoe strictly for casual wear. I feel that this is not the shoe you want to run or work out in since there are much more comfortable athletic choices out there. But for running errands or just hanging out, these New Balances are not only stylish/retro but cute as hell.

My normal size 11 was 1/2 size too small.

I decided to replace my worn WL515 with a new pair of WL515 ... but the new pair (WL515AHA-6-B is about 1/2 size larger and had to be returned.

They're a true fit, I'm very happy with these shoes

I got the Galaxy Suede/Mesh and love them! They are definitely a little shiny (may be hard to tell in the picture), but it isn't over the top (otherwise they would have been returned). Can't go wrong with these classics!

Had to exchange the shoe 2 times for a larger size. Once I found the right size I love them. Very comfortable!

Love these New Balance Classics! I am normally a 6 but a 6.5 in sneakers, and the 6.5 fits great! I love the bright color and the style. They are very comfortable as well. I would definitely recommend!

Love my New Balance 515 - great style and the great comfort you can always count on with NB shoes. They run a bit small, so be sure to order a half size up for better fit. Love NB, love Zappos!!!

Beautiful style and super comfortable

New Balance Classics WL515 is an excellent shoe! The first shoe in a long time that fit me perfectly out of the box and was comfortable! I got them super fast, tried them on and they were great...so I wore them a week straight on vacation walking all over Buenos Aires and never got a blister and my feet didn't hurt with all that walking. Great shoes! I got the grey suede and they show no dirt.

These shoes provide great arch support! I have very high arches, no need for insoles here. They are ready to go out of the box. I like that the "N" and back of the shoe is slightly shiny. It has a nice casual design and will work with most of my clothes for casual wear. While they are not running shoes, they feel like they could be with the great amount of support that they provide. I also have one foot which is wider than the other. Sometimes this is a problem with fit, not with these shoes. I did not have to size up, went with my regular size. Great shoes, they'll be getting lots of wear from me!!
