LOVE! I run ~20 miles a week and was in search of new shoes...when I found the Brooks Cascadia 9! I have worn asics all my life, specifically the 2100 series that then became the gt 2000 series, which were so disappointing (could not wear even sitting on the cough without pinching in the forefoot and a feeling of numbness. Not good!). I had to look elsewhere for shoes. I have a wide forefoot and a narrow heel. I have high arches and I am a mild over-pronator. I need a lot of support. I took these (size 7.5, my normal size in running shoes) out on a 6 mile road run right out of the box. They did great the whole run! They gave me a little hot spot on the medial aspect of my left forefoot toward the end of the run, so I ordered a half size larger to see if that was the problem. Meanwhile,I continued to wear the 7.5's around the house breaking them in. The 8's were too large, so I returned them and stuck with my original size of 7.5's. I have been on several runs with them since and have not had the hot sport problem. I am training for Nike right now and could not be more satisfied with the fit (EXTREMELY important for me and my feet), support, and the color!

Finally! After many different styles and brands I found a woman's sneaker that is comfortable and attractive. Thank you Zappos and UPS for your patience with my need to try many kinds. The return policy is so easy. These are listed as running shoes but the minute you put them on you know if they are going to work to walk or stand in. I have foot problems and these are ideal for a wide foot, side or heel issues. Zappos, you rock as I would have never been able to try all the types at any store. Thank you again!

I had been reluctant to buy a trail shoe for running because I usually run on the streets by my home or work. I run on a very steep street, without sidewalks, and these shoes keep me steady on my feet. I had been running in a pair of brooks Glycerin shoes, but often had shin pain from running down hill. I have not had any pain since running in these Brooks Cascadia. At first I thought they weren't going to be supportive enough (I am a heavier runner), but after running in them for a month, I feel the difference. So happy I found these!

I have very flat feet and over the past 2 years have had 3 surgeries on my left foot. Finding shoes that fit comfortably has always been a problem. I had been wearing Sketchers working shoes and they were a good choice for me for several years. Then my daughter told me about Brooks and I thought I'd give them a try. I ordered the Ravenna 5 and this pair of Cascadia 9. At first I thought I was going to like the Ravenna 5 better but after wearing both pair around the house for a few days the Cascadia 9 felt better and I actually feel like I'm walking correctly for the first time in years! These shoes seem to make my foot just glide from toe to heel whereas before I was not using my toes to push off due to the pain in my feet. I would recommend these shoes to anybody with flat feet. I liked them so much I sent the Ravenna 5's back and ordered another pair of Cascadia 9's in a different color.

I love the shoe. However, when I walked around the house in them, they constantly pulled my sock down into the shoe.

I got these at the last minute before a 10 mile trail race and didn't have a chance to break them in first. However, they were super comfortable from the first wear. The tread is good for moderate trail conditions. Love them! Note: If you wear Mizunos, the fit of Brooks seems to be exactly the same. I ordered my Mizuno size and these were a perfect fit.

I want to add my voice to the chorus of praise for Zappos customer service. My left foot has become discouragingly difficult to fit in the course of the past year, and I have had a great deal of pain while doing the hiking and walking I love. So it's been a quest to find shoes and hiking boots that work, and Zappos' policy of allowing me to try many pairs and ship back the ones that don't work has been a blessing.
These Brooks shoes are comfortable and were the fourth style/size combination I tried. For me they ran a half size small and they are a bit narrower than I think the other reviews suggest. I am hoping they will be wide enough for me, but they will surely be comfortably wide for those who need a roomy toe box. I cannot rate them will full accuracy yet as I have only worn them around the house, but I think they will do the job.

Before I tried these sneakers, what I knew about Brooks was ancient. All I could think of was old woman nursing shoes. Boy, have these trail sneakers changed my mind! I was debating between these and a pair of Asics (after I gave up on Salomon), and seriously, the Brooks felt more supportive, lighter, and fit my feet so well. They required no break-in period, and I absolutely love them for everything, from walks and jogs to a quick dash to the market. The blue color is unique without being offensively bright like most sneakers are these days.

Wow, what a difference a pair of shoes make. My doctor had just told me to give up on running due to my bad bunions and consequent misaligned gait. I went running this morning relatively pain free.
I never want to take these off!

Wonderful fit and no break in time. I bought these to work in because I am on my feet 10 hours a day. Great arch and great for running.

I usually wear PureCadence and these are just as wonderful. Light-weight and work on road and trail. A little wider than the other but its working well for me!

These are low profile and super comfortable with a wide base. I usually order a 9 wide in other brooks but got a 9 in these and they fit great. The material seems like they'll hold up a long time and they're cute. I recommend!

This is the best shoe I have found for walking up to 5 miles daily on grade 10 treadmill speed 5mph. They are like walking on air and there is plenty of room for toes to expand. I have been walking for over 10 years over 1,000 miles yearly. These are by far the very best, Brooks love this model!

This is a solid, reliable, stable trail shoe. I have been wearing the Brooks Cascadia for a few years as my "go-to" trail shoe. I appreciate the design especially given that I have a narrow heel and like a wide toe box. I always order my running shoes a full size larger. I wear an 8.5 and order a 9.5 for running shoes. So they feel true to size for what my needs are.

I have worn this shoe for maybe 10 miles on both trail and road. So far they are ok. I have bunions and the plastic material on the outside of the shoe has not been forgiving and I have gotten small blisters on runs over 3 miles. I feel like they might need a longer break in time so I plan on keeping the miles shorter in these shoes for the time being. Otherwise I like them.

My third pair of Cascadias; I previously bought the first model and the 6 model. I do 5k and 10k walks usually on pavement and they provide the support and cushioning I like. These are much lighter than the first one so wear out in a year if used for constant training. But worth the price, and cool colors too. The toe box seems to get just a little bit shorter with each pair I purchase so you may wish to go a 1/2 size up if you have long toes, or like to wear two pair of socks. I personally prefer to wear my running shoes without socks at all, and the 9 model is just barely long enough in the toe box. The laces on this model are by far the best. You can tighten them to a comfortable place and they stay put because each row can be cinched separately for its tightness. I like that feature a lot. I wear size 10 and have a slender foot with high instep, and am a competitive walker in my early 60's.

I already have these in the fuchsia/midnight and knew them to be comfortable. I wanted a blue running shoe so I thought of these. The colors are true to the picture and they look and feel comfortable. I will wear these often!

This is a great trail running shoe. The sole is protective without being too heavy. The downhill grip works perfectly. In my old shoes, I was slipping and sliding on the descent...but no more! The lace grip loops are a sweet improvement too - something I did not even know I needed, but would not want to be without now. GREAT SHOE!

I absolutely love my new sneakers. I own 14 pairs of sport shoes, this is my second brooks pair and I love this even more than my Ravennas. They are super light and very comfortable. They are perfectly designed for flat feet, as my physical therapist explained also that flat feet have to forget Nike and others, but go with Brooks and Mizuno, they are made for flat feet. And so true. I just want to keep on walking more and more, I do not get tired so early like before. They are also great for slightly wider feet. Beside comfort they look very great, I always got complimented on them.

These are great...I am a nurse and do lots of walking, my feet were beginning to feel the wear and tear. I got these for the long walks I do in my free time. They have been great, very comfortable and supportive. I wear Danskos/Sanitas to work, and now my Brooks when I am out and about!

Great shoes! Love the feel of them and the style/color (I got the magenta and red). I've worn Brooks for a few years, (the Trance and Pure Cadence) and always take a size 8 in them; however, I took a 7.5 in these. They definitely run longer than my other Brooks styles. However, since I normally size between a 7.5 and an 8, I would say these technically run true to size, just bigger than the other models I've worn. Hope this helps!

I searched for about a month for quality running shoes. I read countless blogs and articles about how to select a good shoe. I wound up purchasing these after trying two other Brooks styles. First the style factor: these shoes look even better in person! The colors are pretty amazing. Support: There is a fair amount of cushion and support in the shoe and my feet do not ache after running. And after several runs, the cushioning does conform to your foot shape and style of running. The size: I felt like they were a little narrow in the toe box -- especially after a 6 mile run when your foot is more splayed out. I ended up needing a 1/2 size bigger, which did feel loose around the heel, but solved the toe box issue. The grip on the sole is fantastic and I have not had any slippage even on wet and rugged terrain. I run both on grass and asphalt and have had no issues with either. Quality: They are made very well and I hope they will last a long while. I have been using them every day for the last 2 months, running about 18 miles each week and they are not showing any wear or tear. Summary: All in all I am very happy with these.

I have a very short wide foot and these actually fit me without my toes being crowded. I also have 5 pins in each foot from extensive foot surgery and therefore am very sensitive to pressure points, etc. These are my 2nd pair of Cascadia's and when I can't find any other tennis shoe for walking I come back to these and have not been disappointed. They are comfortable, have good support and excellent cushioning. If you have problem feet, these are the shoes for you! And if you don't have problem feet, they will be even more comfortable!
