The new Pureflow 3 feels very similar to my Pureflow 2s! They are NOT narrower across the forefoot. They are true to size and width compared to the 2s! Whoever says these shoes are narrower has it wrong! If you are a Pureflow 2 user, you will like the 3s. I've been running for 30 years and I have seen many ruinous updates to other shoes. Brooks did not ruin the shoe with this update. The burrito tongue now crosses over from medial to lateral (inside to outside). This is an insignificant change. Your foot won't tell the difference. All the changes I see (and feel) are minor tweaks. I commend Brooks on a nice update to a great shoe. By the way, my highest score is 4 since a perfect shoe does not exist.

What can you say, Zappos, perfect every time. Oh, and the shoes are great too! This is my second pair of Pureflow's, I'll buy them again next time as well.

Excellent! These shoes are golden. Great for road runs, trails, speed workouts. These shoes provide amazing support, aren't too clunky, and respond immediately. Big fan of Brooks, I did not think the PureFlow 2 could be beaten until I upgraded to the PureFlow 3! I highly recommend trying a pair of these out for yourself!

I love these shoes! I ran in Brooks GTS for years, and I had zero issues transitioning to the PureFlow 3. They feel great, and are very light - I never realized how heavy my other shoes were. While these have enough cushion for pavement, I mostly run on trails and these are great there, too. I don't know if I'll ever go fully minimalist, but if not, I know I am definitely comfortable with this transitional level shoe. I will probably buy at least one other pair so I have them around if they make changes.

These are the first running shoes - that I am actually using exclusively to run in - in a long time. I tried several other brands and models. These were the best. I love the snug fit. Very comfortable all around. Great toe box. Nothing rubbing wrong. Cushy without being too cushy. They really promote good foot strike.

I ran in the PF1 and the PF2. This edition is hands down the best of the Pure Flow model. Great cushion for the mid-foot striker. Just a great shoe.

I had a pair of the PureFlow 2 and I now have two pairs of the PureFlow 3. They are excellent shoes for running and getting around. The fit is snug but not restrictive. The sole and arch support are really nice and the flexibility creates a minimalist feel while still being supported. The colors are really great as well. I have the red and the black. In fact, I wear the black to work a lot and they fly under the radar really well.

They feel lighter than they look! Stiff, but not too stiff. Not as squishy as Saucony Kinvara's which I was previously wearing. They're snug, yet roomy in the toe box. Seem durable but only time will tell. So far so good! The tongue is sewn all the way up on one side of the shoe. Snugness still applies. These seem like a good long distance or short distance running shoe.
Only downside: The styling, on all three variations, will not win the wearer of these shoes any envious looks. Just nothing sexy about them.

I wear a women's 10 and I got this shoe in a men's 8 because I didn't like any of the women's styles. I got it as my primary running shoe and it has been great. It feels like more support than the women's shoes I was wearing before, and there is no problem with width, one thing I was concerned about.

Just returned from 2 months in Europe, walking on all kinds of surfaces with these shoes, and they are just great. Lots of cushioning, attractive and understated. Perfect for traveling in comfort, but probably not constructed in a way to withstand a steady pounding of a runner's routine. I'm buying another pair today to hold in reserve if they are discontinued at some point.

I have been searching for shoes with minimal heel drop to promote natural running (mid-foot or fore-foot strike), decent room in the toe box, and some (but not too much) cushioning to enable long (ultramarathon) distance running. This shoe is it. I tried many different models from Altra Zero Drop, as well as the Saucony Kinvara 4, Newtons, and even Hoka One One. This shoe just feels right. It is comfortable but not over padded and has a 4 mm heal drop, which is about right for natural running. I am happy with it and will be running Boston in it next week. It has been great for several runs over 20 miles and I intend to run a 100 mile ultra in it later this summer. Do not go for the over padded Hokas or Altra Olympus or Torin. This shoe does what it is supposed to do: you quickly feel like it is not even there.

Someone suggested these in place of the now long gone Asics 2170, I guess I need a stability shoe. I have been running for years and Asics were always the shoes that fit me best. I think this Pueflow 3 by Brooks has become my favorite shoe to run in. I need a removable insole so I can use my superfeet aftermarket insole, no problem there, I hate shoe laces that untie if you don't double knot them, these take one knot and they stay tied, I hate when the tongue of the shoe moves as I run, these are built into the shoe so that isn't an issue at all. As I said, these are now my favorite shoes to run in, I run about 4 miles a day, 5 days a week. In the winter I can still run in these shoes, although they are extremely breathable, if I'm running in the Defeet Thermeator sock.

Substantial cushioning in these Pureflows 3. I was looking for a more cushioned 4mm drop shoe to rotate with my lower to the ground flats and trail runners. However, the Pureflows were not for me. I can see why most people would be wild about these, but bottom line was the extremely high arch was just too uncomfortable. I am a flat foot and somewhat minimalist runner. With flat feet, I felt as though I was standing on my arches. Another thing to consider is that Brooks, like many others, seems to be confused about what constitutes a minimalist shoe. These are lower than average drop shoes (4mm), but the stack height and cushioning make you feel high off the ground. This isn't a bad thing, but don't expect to feel the ground in these. I had to return these due to the high arches and ended up purchasing a pair of the Pure Cadence 3s. My ratings reflect what I would have thought if my arches were higher.

I ran in PureFlow 2 and these are very similar. I really like how the tongue is tied in on the side of the shoe. The only small issue is that it feels like my big toe rides where the insole meets the shoe.

I bought these for the slightly wider feature of a mens shoe. The sole is decently comfortable but they are still a bit too narrow. Brooks does not subscribe to generous toebox styles. The original women's PureFlow did well. Nothing since was worked well for me. These dig in to the heel/ankle on the inside at the upper part of the shoe. Size 10½ womens = mens 8½.

A good shoe for narrower small feet. However, the wear is poor. The front of my soles are wearing quickly and I'm not a runner or every day walker. I'm 210 lbs, so maybe that's a factor. I walk 6 miles a week. You're buying comfort here, not a durable shoe. Had them 3 months.

This shoe is too narrow at toe box and front of foot. It is also built small, order a half size up from normal. Cushioning seems good, I just wish they offered a wider width.

Well this shoe is very different from the Pure Flow 2. If you think you are getting an updated 2, forget it because this is an all new shoe. I loved the Pure Flow 2's and even though they had flaws, the footbed and sole striking layout were the very best that I've ever worn on any shoe - period. The changes to the Pure Flow 3 are primarily (1) the tongue is stitched to the other side - a good change because the old tongue placement was an irritant to some people. (2) the sole pattern is completely changed more to a Pure Connect design type sole which causes the contact to the ground to be less stable - I almost have a roll problem with it if on uneven surface - not good. (3) The shoe is longer which took care of the full size too small problem of the PF2. For instance I wear a 12 1/2 in the PF3 and a 13 in PF2 because the old 2's were about a third of a size smaller. (4) Overall styling changed from a swoosh inspired athletic shoe to almost a street shoe style. (5) the sole pattern design eliminated the perfectly cushioned heel strike area of the old one in favor of the narrow rounded one there now - further adding to instability and some discomfort while walking although it work fine when in full stride running. The glowing reviews aside, this shoe now has some problems that it didn't have before, but has fixed other areas which were a problem too. I recommend testing it carefully before buying.
