Love these boots - really well made. Only thing is that the size was strange. I wear a mens 10 and in these boots I had to order a size 8! After I figured all of that out I loved them.

I'm a doctor at a hospital. I'm on my feet all day and generally wear some very comfy shoes (crocs). But crocs don't make a nice going out shoe. I used to wear Dr. Marten's back when they were made in England and still good and decided to try a pair of these. Loved the style and it's been a long time since I had a rugged good looking boot. I love Zappos' return structure so bought several to try on from Keen to Irish Setter. These won easy. I had forgotten how heavy a good boot was and was a bit nervous they'd be stiff or cut in somewhere when I put them on, but it was like a sock with a heavy sole. Super comfy right out of the box. They'll still take some getting used to since I've been in Crocs for so long (my good shoes were a pair of jungle mocs by Merrell). The heft and the sharp heel will take me a bit, but I'll manage. By sharp heel I don't mean cutting into me. I mean there's no roll at the back of the sole like on a pair of crocs so they don't roll quite the same as you walk. They look great with jeans and I am not even remotely above wearing them with some khakis or a sports coat to a formal function.

The best boots you will ever own. Comfortable on the first day, super stylish and union made in the USA by an employee owned company. I have had a few pairs of Thorogood boots and they are always A+. they run a size large for me, I am always a 13 in all shoes, but on this pair a 12 was perfect.

I first saw these boots on one of the hosts of Mythbusters. I searched them out and they are made in Merrill, Wisconsin. I have two pairs. I absolutely love them. They have become the only shoe I will wear. They are incredibly well built, sturdy and most importantly wicked comfortable! Since they are re-sole able they will nearly last a life time. Even though they don't feature any air holes they breathe really well. My older pair are a couple years old and don't have any noticeable interior wear and zero odor (well ventilated when worn). Overall...these are A+ boots.

Wow. I was so excited to get these; first because they are really good looking boots but also because of the rave reviews from construction workers. Well, first of all they are no way a full size larger than the norm. I usually wear a men's 8 and ordered a 7 and it's just a bit too small. Second of all, the left boot feels good and the right boot makes me want to cry. It is stiff, it is super narrow. Did I mention how stiff and narrow it is? It feels like it's cutting of my blood supply to my foot as I sit here writing this. It's almost like someone went ahead and wore the left one for a few weeks before I got it. HOWEVER, I wear 2 layers of socks when I work and there is no way I could do that with even the left boot. I can't imagine I have wider feet than the others who wrote reviews, I'm a woman. I've been in and out of the trades since the early '80s and these are a disappointment. But man, are they a good looking boot! How I wish they were the right fit. And also, the sole is a bit heavier than I expected. I don't even think these are comfortable enough to wear just for style- even the left one. I've worn so many different brands(starting with Thom Mcan when they still had stores) and this one sadly is just not for me. I still might try a 7 1/2 and maybe the wider size? I don't know.
