First off, I consider myself a fedora aficionado ????, this is my 4th Brixton fedora! The first was the castor and then the gain; which are similar in design! The messer is a graduation to medium brim fedora wearing. The messer is about 1 1/2 in longer than the gain! The inner "wool" shell is comfortable and warm to give stylish protection from cold, windy weather. Messer to me is a mix of a urban cowboy and detective chic????; All in all: a cool hat, that won't be confused with your grandfathers style ?? PS. The black/ black messer reminds me of the fedora Rocky was rocking in the first movie ??

I really wanted to like this hat - it is extremely well made!! The wool felt is high quality and has a soft hand (feel). I ordered the grey - and it is kind of a purply/grey - I wish it was more of a warm grey for my taste. Going by Brixton's sizing guide, I measured my head and it was between a medium and a large. I ordered the large. When I tried it on it was a little big but I won't order a size down as I think the style doesn't suit me... oh well... It's not the hat It's just me.;-)

Love this hat. Light but doesn’t feel cheap. Ordered a medium and it fits well—not snug or loose.

Very cool and fly looking hat.My first felt fedora, and I love it.Brixton fits a little big, so medium was perfect for me. Lots of compliments. I tried three different fedoras until I figured my fit and size.Very warm and comfortable.

I looked for a new hat because my old one got too floppy... This is nice and sturdy and not too wide or too tall. It fits my head well, scale-wise. I LOVE IT. I walked in the house from work with it on and my husband said how fricking cool I look... ; ) So other than keeping the rain off my hair, it makes me look cool! ; )

I have big hair and the large size of this hat worked well. Everything about this hat EXCEPT the brown band looked sharp. Did not want to remove and replace a brand new hat band, so returned and purchased same hat, same size but with a black band on Amazon.

I love this hat but it does run a bit small. Once you find the right size the hat is easy to wear and comfortable. Zappos has the best customer service too! =)

I have a small head so I ordered the XS and it was a little too big. Nice quality and style for the price but will send back.
