Other reviewers noting that it runs a half size larger are correct. It might even be closer to 3/4 as my heel tends to slip just a bit. As a casual bike shoe I think you can't beat these on style or comfort.

I had another (different) pair of Chrome’s recessed cleats bike shoes for two and a half years, with frequent use, and I loved them. They have a lot of cosmetic damage now and the bottoms are worn down a bit, exposing the cleat more than usual, but they have otherwise held up great. The soles on these new pair feel a little stiffer than my old pair, which is good, but it may also just be that my old pair are, you know, old. The longer laces also allow for a better fit to my foot by adjusting the tightness as I please. Both of these mean better transfer of power to the bike, which is great. I’ve already ridden to work in these shoes and back (about 4.5 miles each way), and they feel good. I do keep an extra pair of slip-on Vans at my desk at work, because I wouldn’t want to wear such a stiff shoe as this all day just walking around the office and whatever, but they’re still really great for running errands and for the walk from my bike to my desk. I have a feeling I’ll love this pair to death too.

I put the Shimano SPD cleats on them, and the cleats hit the ground when walking more than I'd like. They don't really click on the tile/carpet at the office, but they do click on sidewalks and lots of other surfaces. The crank brothers cleats look like they have a lower profile, so they might be a better option; they might click less. As a lot of reviewers (here and elsewhere) have said, these run big, so order half a size down. They don't fare well in the rain, and rubber toe cap can make the toe area kind of stuffy. On the plus side, these shoes break in more than I expected. I've been wearing them regularly for a month or so, and the uppers are really comfortable now, for both biking and walking. Walking is a little awkward because of the stiff sole plate, and because your toes are kind of high up, but you get used to it pretty quickly, and I've been comfortable walking a couple miles or so in them. Overall, these have made commuting to work by bike better/faster, they're pretty comfortable during the day, they look decent and feel very well made, and the price isn't too bad, so I recommend them. I did pretty extensive research before getting these, and I think they're the best overall everyday commuter shoe out there. My choice of this over the Chrome Truk Pro was purely aesthetic -- the guy at the Chrome store made it seem like the shoes are nearly identical except for looks. (Btw, this might be obvious, but don't get them if you don't plan to use clipless pedals. Chrome has other similar models that are meant for non-clipless pedals.)
I'd also recommend:
DZR, Giro, Quoc Pham.

It's a very nice shoe that's well made. Originally was wearing the dzr size 40 and now moved to chrome because I like the quality better. I'm a regular size 9 but got an 8.5. I ordered both 8.5 and a 9. The 9 felt and looked too long. However the 8.5 felt like the right length but was cramped on top of my foot. So I pulled out the insoles and now the shoe fits perfectly! People are right the heel is loose. Generally I have narrow feet especially in the heels but it's not a huge concern for me. The shoe is very snug and secure when I'm riding around Cambridge and Boston.
I'd also recommend:
Dzr but not as good in quality but less bulky and light

I bought this mostly for the style and because I got my first set of clips for my bike. The sole of this shoe is very stiff. As a result, sometimes when I'm walking with these on my heel starts slipping out. I find that pretty annoying. The metal clips clack on the ground when walking, which is to be expected by pretty much any shoes with clips. I wouldn't wear them while walking around very long. It's still a good idea to bring a change of shoes if you are going to be off your bike for a while. These do look great while biking though! Also the toe of the shoe near my pinky toes where they have some of the stitching is kind of firm and rubs against my foot sometimes. It's not too bad, just a little annoying. If I were getting new shoes, I'd probably try something else as I haven't tried many brands. I also own a pair of Chrome's Turk clipless shoes, which I love. Maybe I should have got the Turk shoes with the clips instead.

My wife told me that if I was going to cycle and wear cycling shoes that I could not look lame; these shoes are not lame, look awesome and fit my style (I normally wear Chucks & Vans slip-ons). I can wear these while not riding my bike and look/feel like I blend into society as opposed to the clickety-clack of normal lame cycling shoes. They run one size small for sure - I got 7s but normally wear 8s. The width is true and comfort is alright but you definitely need to break them in first. The cup for your heel could "hug" a little more but I do not come out of them walking. A little heavy but who cares. If you are going for style and a decent overall cycling shoe, I would recommend these. Please, don't look lame.

I would give these shoes an overall 5 stars, but they are very heavy so, only 4 stars. Other than that, I love 'em and have had many compliments.

These re a solid compromise between a clip less bike shoe and casual sneaker. I will say it doesn't excel in either category though. As a clip less bike shoe it gives you the attachment to the pedal that you want but lacks in stability. As a sneaker it is comfortable and easy to walk in but on certain paths you will hear and feel the clips and if you walk a longer distance the heel will start to rub and give blisters. Am I happy with these, yes, they serve the propose to get to work and not require me to bring a spare pair of shoes. so I give them a solid B-.

Not wide enough for my wide feet. I returned them. Not necessarily the shoes' fault. Shimano SH-M088 in wide did fit me, the only SPD bike shoes that have!

I'm a few weeks into my Kursk Pro 2.0s, and I'm so far quite happy. They are indeed stiff and heavy compared to most other shoes of this style, but that is to be expected - they are bike shoes styled like street shoes, not the other way around. The sole has a lot of natural rocker to it, which makes for an interesting, though comfortable walking gait. It is a bit odd to get used to, but definitely superior to the wooden-clog feel of most bicycle shoes. They stay as stiff as they need to be, but are still walkable. There is still a bit of heel-slip, but that is going away as they break in a bit. The style is nice - the grey is almost a metallic silver in appearance - very industrial, and I've gotten many positive comments. I work in an office with a somewhat casual dress code, and they are well accepted. As far as bicycling, they work very well. The stiff sole finally shines, and they pedal cleanly and efficiently. Crank Bros cleats fit under the sole with no clicking on flat surfaces (you click a bit on pavement due to gravel and other things getting up into the cleat area, but not on say, tile).

I"m looking for commuter style bike shoes, but unfortunately this style does not fit my feet. I tried three sizes (one larger and one smaller than my usual bike shoes.) The main problem is the shoes are too tight around the toe box and, at the same time, the heels slip. The smaller size does not slip very much but it's TOO tight around my forefoot. It's going back. If Chrome offers wide options that may be great!

I typically wear a 10.5, but ended up trying the 10.5, 10, and 9.5. My heel slipped way too much in the 10.5 and 10. There was less slip with the 9.5, but the toe box was so much narrower in the 9.5 that I did not see them working for me, so ended up returning them as well. They looked great and so much better than typical clipless SPD biking shoes.

Love my two much older pair of these shoes, but this pair fell apart in a couple years of rotating equally through all 3 pair.
