I love Pikolinos. I have the Verona ankle boot with the double belts from a couple of years ago. I wanted a lower heel and so I got the Brujas and the Rotterdam to compare. My normal size 9's fit. The Brujas has a softer top and a lower more streamlined heel. I felt the Rotterdam's heel was clunkier and higher than I wanted. Plus, the Brujas was waterproof. I went with the Brujas. Just a note to people who don't know what vegetable tanned leather is. It is real leather that has been tanned to preserve it, soften it and color it. It's tanned with with the tannins from rotting vegetable matter, like tree bark. It's the tannins that give tanning its name. Vegetable tanned leather is not vegan or vegetarian, as it is real leather. I've read a few reviews where some people think it means it's vegan "leather."

Love these boots! I have been wearing them for days on end now and I simply can not believe how comfortable they are, especially for boots with a little heel. I am a size 8.5 and bought the 39's. The left boot was a tad tight at first (my left foot is larger than my right), but within a day they had stretched to my foot and now both feet are gloriously comfortable (in thinner socks, as 39's would not fit with a pair of woolies). The foot bed feels like a slipper. Seriously. Put your hand into the boot and press down on the foot bed and you'll feel springy softness. I love that they are quality leather, but for the rubber-ish sole, and made in Spain instead of China. Well worth the price. As for the style, I walked off the plane and my husband said, "Sexy boots!" I am not sure he has ever before noticed my feet. I should add that I have a history of a talus, cuboid, and 1st and 2nd metatarsal breaks, along with a talofibular and anterior tib-fib tear and these boots give me no pain whatsoever. None! That alone is amazing!

I love these boots! They are beautiful, high quality and very comfortable. I usually wear a size 7 and the 38 is a perfect fit. My feet are pretty normal in width. I can walk all day in these with no discomfort at all. They accommodate a medium thick sock. I wear them with jeans, skirts, whatever. They look great and I get compliments every time I wear them.

Another great boot from Pikolinos! I bought a pair of Brujas last winter and wore them just about nonstop. I bought the Rotterdam ankle boot in black and ordered 38, sizing up from my usual 37, allowing room for an insole. These boots are comfortable for my borderline wide feet with bunions and plantar fasciitis; wore them out of the box for a half day without consequence. Heels are just high enough to count without making my back hurt, and rubbery so they're neither clicky nor slippery. BTW, as noted by another reviewer, the straps on the black boot are really more of a pewter than brownish as they appear in the photos.

These boots are divine. As stated in many of the reviews I read while deciding what brand and style of boot to purchase, I took them right out of box and wore them on my travels overseas every day for weeks and they were nothing short of amazingly comfortable. As to fit, I suggest, unless you have a narrow foot, to go with the size up if debating this issue. Especially if you will be wearing them with warm socks. They do stretch wonderfully to contours of your foot, so being a little snug at first should not be a problem. Love the style of these Rotterdam and I am so glad I choose them over the 'Brogue" styles, which review said had 'hollow' heels and a little bit of an issue. These soles/heels are super secure and quiet and the leather and inner liner are wonderful. The quality of this company boots make them a 'Stand-out'.

I just cannot get over how great Pikolinos are! They are the only shoes I have ever purchased and been able to pull them out of the box, put them on and go...with no discomfort whatsoever! I have a bunion on my left foot that usually hurts until I break new shoes in, but this has not been the case with any of the Pikolinos I have recently purchased. These boots are lovely! Love how they look and are so well made. I wear a size 41 and instead of looking like I am wearing barges on my feet, they actually look smaller. Could not be happier and would recommend these to anyone!

FABULOUS! These boots feel amazing on my feet. Super comfortable even with thick socks. Sole has just the right amount of cushion. Leather is very soft. These look better in person than on line. Would highly recommend! The buckle strap is more grey than brown but it still looks great, very happy with them just not what I was expecting as the strap looks brown in the photo.

Very comfortable and well-made; this is my first purchase from this brand and I am impressed. I bought them because they reference a harness/moto-style boot without being too literal. What I didn't pay attention to when I ordered was the platform apparently it's only 1/2" but I feel like I stand extra tall in these without having to navigate a heel (which I love). Oh, and for ninjas or just anyone who doesn't like clomping around like an elephant, these are much more quiet than they look!

I am in love with these boots. They are the most comfortable shoes I own, in fact they are so comfortable I've worn them for 4 days straight, in the house, out and about, everywhere. And I hate wearing heels! They aren't noisy and they look great. I wasn't sure if my husband would like them because he is so ridiculously picky and they're not exactly sexy, but he did. They look like feminine motorcycle boots. I wear a 7.5 and the 38 was perfect.

These are awesome boots. Cute and comfy. Rubber heel feels good on the back. Not as good quality as Frye so they won't be going in my will, but nice boots.

These are great boots! I love my black ones so much that I got this pair in brown. I have fairly flat feet, so I do not want arch support in my shoes and boots and these feel extremely comfortable to my feet. They are very stylish and both pairs have gotten lots of compliments.

These are the most awesome boots or shoe I have ever owned. I didn't believe others on here when they said they put them on and comfortable right from the start. That is 100% true. My feet are in constant pain. I have high arches and a broken big toe, no problems what so ever. Not to mention the looks. Gorgeous.

Love these boots. Soft buttery leather,with comfortably padded inner soles. Wore these out of the box for an entire day and never had a problem. My son wanted a new pair of boots, unfortunately they don't carry wide widths for men. I have been looking for boots like these for a long time. Thanks Pikolinos and Zappos!

I highly recommend Pikolinos. I have a bunion and this boot felt comfortable almost out of the box. I wore them in the house for about 2 hours and they felt great after that. I wore them out on a day of errands & I forgot I had them on my feet! Having a bunion makes it a challenge buying shoes but Pikolinos never fail me, and I know they are pricey, but worth it.

These shoes are fabulous. They are very comfortable. The fit is true to size. The leather is very high quality. The style is perfect, a little edgy. I now have two pairs of Pikolinos and will probably buy more.

I love these boots. Bought them in khaki and black. They're very comfortable on my narrow foot, don't gap out at the ankle, and the leather drop-wrap at the heel is a touch of extra cool. My go-to's for everything from teaching to shopping to dog walking. Great boots, with soft suede inside and grippy soles. Foot is a true 9.5, got a 40, perfect fit with socks.

I'm a runner with a wide foot and need my shoes to be super comfy to walk in. However, I never wear any shoe that doesn't have at least a 2 inch heel. These boots are hands-down all day comfort -- and really sexy looking. I generally wear a 6 - 6.5 and have a wide foot, ordered a 37 and the fit is perfect. Highly recommend.

I loved these boots, and I really wanted to make them work. I bought my first pair (the black ones), but the buckle around the boot detached within the first four months. Zappos allowed me to return them, although they no longer had my size in black, so I ordered them in brown. Again, the buckle came off from the boot. There are ways to repair it yourself, but I no longer had the color I wanted, and I did not think it was worth it for the price. The shoes, however, were incredibly comfortable and attractive. Wish they had worked for me.

These boots are so beautiful. I love the cuero color. It's like a true brown. The leather is of high quality and so pliable. I have a high instep. I had no trouble getting into these boots. The arch support seemed to mold to my feet. I wear 8.5-9m. I purchased size 39, and the fit is great. They are a teensy bit tight. But I know they'll stretch to mold to my feet. My only complaint is that I was looking for a true ankle boot. These come up to the bottom of my calf. I wish Pikolinos would make a true ankle boot. If it's of this same quality leather, I'd buy it In a minute. I am still on the fence about this one because of the shaft height. I have some boots this shaft height and they are difficult to work with. However, these are so beautiful, I'm having trouble returning them.

These boots are very comfortable. This is the second pair of Pikilinos boots that I've bought this season. They are worth every penny.

COMFORTABLE RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! Wow, I'm totally shocked. I have such a hard time finding shoes that fit my hard-to-fit feet (wide across the ball of the foot but a narrow heel, and somewhere between a size 9 and 9.5). I am definitely going to be buying more Pikolinos footwear. These are extremely comfortable - I love the cushy sole. These are also very chic.

I'm really happy with these boots. I'm a size 8-8.5 and I ordered the 38 and 39 to see which fit best. The 38's were too tight. 39 was slightly large in a thin sock, but a still a decent fit. I spent some time looking for a comfortable, casual boot and I thought the the Pikolinos were the cutest. Fryes are well rated too but looked a tad bit too country for me.

The design of Pikolinos boots has been calling to me for the past year - and I finally took the plunge and went for it when these went on sale. The 41 works well with my otherwise size 10, normal width foot. But the real bonus is the delicious, removable footbed. I know I could spend all day in these and be content! I am going to waterproof them to protect the beautiful leather, and then wear the daylights out of them. Thank you, Zappos!

I am almost afraid to write a review of these, for fear that they will all sell out! I ordered another pair in black before typing this. I was looking for updated motorcycle style boots, but they absolutely had to be comfortable. I loved the way they looked so much that I was afraid to try them on, because the disappointment would have been so keen if they had not fit! I wear an 8½W or 9M or 9W and the 39 fit me perfectly. There is good room in the toe box and someone with a higher instep than mine could still wear these. I can wear them with thin or thick socks. The lining to the shoes is so soft and the footbed has a lot of cushioning. The grip on the sole is outstanding (no click click sound either). I cannot say enough about them. All the stitching and detail are perfect and the color is a gorgeous saddle brown that gradates in a slightly distressed way from darker tan to saddle tan. Lots of interest to these boots, they really complete any outfit involving jeans.
