Loved these slipper, the style and the fabric is great, but be warned, they run really large. I normally wear an 8.5, tried an 8 and a 7 and both were too big. They might have been fine with thick socks but that is not how I want to wear them. Finally ordered a size 6, two sizes smaller than my usual. Fit slightly tight out of the box but after wearing for 2-3 days, are comfy and perfect t. . They even accommodate my custom orthotic, which is made for an 8.5 shoe. I have owned haflinger wool slippers previously and know they do stretch considerably. My last pair became so overstretched after 2 years that they would not stay on.

The bottom of the slipper peeled back from the slipper less than 1 month of owning. Very disappointing as I've had no other issue with Haflinger slippers.

On my quest for replacement slippers, I tried these Haflinger Moccasins, UGG Ansleys, and Giesswein Vents. I ended up keeping these Haflingers, though I had to try three different sizes before settling on the best fit. (Thanks Zappos!) I am normally a 9.5 and tried the 41, 40 and 39. The 40 was the best fit. The length of the 39 was fine but the shoe was too narrow across the vamp.

These probably fit true to size, but I wanted a nice snug fit so they didn't slip off at all. I'm usually a US 9 or 9.5. I ordered size 39 and they're perfect. At first they feel a tad snug, but after a very short while they stretch and form to my bare feet. I love these! I've had Haflinger slippers before, always loved them for walking around my hardwood floored house. These mocs are quirky cute, in my opinion, I love them!

Out of the box these had a slightly loose fit, and after 1.5 years of constant indoor use they've stretched slightly. As they are now they fit nicely with winter weight socks, which isn't a bad thing in my area. The felt has also worn through on the insoles and exposed a bit of the dense foam form underneath; however, these are replaceable and felt insoles are easy to find. The felt shell shows no wearing at all though. I only have this one pair so I can't speak to sizing consistency, but based on this pair I'd suggest the next size down from normal if you want a snug fit with a bare foot. Or if you want the extra warmth of thick socks, order your normal size. The only other notable wear I see is very slight separation of the rubber sole from the felt shell in one small spot; it hasn't grown and should probably glue easily. Sizing aside, I find these quite comfortable and durable, and would order them again.

Purchased these because they have a removable wool insole. My feet get sweaty, so I need to be able to wash them. They are very comfortable. Size up for sure.

When I first put these on, the arch felt like it was a little too far forward and I debated returning them. However, they were so soft and cozy that I decided to keep them. After wearing them daily for weeks, they feel much better and I am happy that I kept them.

The most comfortable slippers I've ever owned, and I've tried all the top brands out there! Size down, as everyone else has mentioned, very good advice. Warm without being sweaty, good arch support for not being a cork bed style slip on clog with an inflexible sole.

These slippers are great. Lightweight, soft and with a slight sole so you can wear them outside. I found, like most slippers, that they run big. I usually wear a 8.5 or 9, ordered the 8 and they fit perfect. Would highly recommend. Very cute.

I agree with many of the previous reviews on the sizing - I wear a 9 women's usually and I followed the suggestions and ordered a size down, to a 39. The fit length-wise is great. The shoes are snug around the middle of the shoe, but as I have worn for 4 hours so far, they have loosened some. I am giving these a 3 star for these reasons: they are super cute and snugly (I got the gray). HOWEVER, I have owned Haflinger slippers before - current pair for 8 years! - and they had so much more arch support than these. These are lacking in the comfort some, and I also think this is a crazy price to pay for slippers (but, here I am, having done so). Cute but not quite the comfort quality I expected...

These are not in any way, shape or form true to US size. Nothing is wrong with the shoes, per se - but they are so long and so wide that ordering your usual size will have you returning them - twice in my case after reordering a size smaller and they are also going back because they are simply still too long and wide! As much as I would love to have a pair of these, have decided to order another brand.

This is my third pair of these slippers. What can I say, I love them! Each pair lasts me about a year - which is a good amount of time given how much time I spend in my slippers. I am a stay at home mom with cold feet. I love that I can wear these barefoot in the warm months and with slippers in the cold months. My house has hardwood floors, so I like the rubber non-slip sole. I also love that the rubber is soft and pliable, so I am not clomping around the house. I tried a cheaper brand of slippers to save some money, but I knew immediately after putting the cheaper pair on that I would end up returning them and buying my third pair of Haflingers!

The Haflinger Moccasin is a great slipper. I've had my first pair for many years and they are still like new. That said, the fit is way off. I'm always an 8.5 in women's shoes and I bought a 38 in these slippers. My daughter is always a 9.5 in women's shoes and she needed a 39 in the Haflinger. It is a hassle when the sizing is so far off. But these are such a great piece, it is worth the effort to find your size.

I'm so glad I read and took a chance on sizing per the reviews that HALFLINGER'S do run larger than most of my other shoe brands. I normally take a size 8 1/2 mens in most dress shoes, an 8 in UGGS, 8 1/2 in Helly Hansen boat shoes and 8 1/2 in Sperry. However, I went with other Zappos customers advice, took a chance and purchased size 40 EU. Although, Halflinger states that is a men's 7 US equivalent, they fit like a glove, even with the wool removable insert. These are a beautiful moccasin, well constructed with quality all wool material and rubber sole. Hope that helps somebody.

They are great, incredibly comfortable and warm. But do order a half size smaller than you usually would. I am a 9,sometimes even a 9.5, and am wearing the 39. And you'll have to wear them barefeet. (Obviously, you can do what you want, but because of the felt I can't imagine socks would be comfortable. And if you do plan on wearing them with socks, order two sizes smaller.) Also, according to their (German) website, you can wash them: Delicate/handwash cycle, no fabric softener, let them dry flat (not in the dryer!!).

Great shoe but runs a bit large and stretches a little. Returned my normal size for one size smaller and it's perfect.

These are so comfortable! I wear them around the house all day all winter long. And if I need to run out to get mail or take the dog out, the soles are great for that.

What a great slipper! Good arch support and very comfortable. I would have had my slippers earlier, but I ordered the size based-upon reviews. Big mistake as the slippers are true to size. Not to worry, Zappos took care of the shipping back and forth!

If you’re attracted to the style, and in need of a long lasting slipper that will not get funky, then do not hesitate.

Runs a little large, ok with socks but too looses to wear barefoot. I was looking for something a little more feminine, these are a man's moccassin style slipper. But a lovely product otherwise.

Very high quality slipper. No problems at all, I love the fit and style of these slippers. Highly recommend.
