I have a difficult time finding shoes of any kind because of my small feet! I've been buying running shoes form Zappos for probably 5 or 6 years, at least. Sadly my "regular" Asics were no longer available when I last called. And the rep who answered my phone call was not knowledgeable about running shoes. But, wow, she overcompensated with her efforts, and sent me a follow-up email after consulting someone who was very knowledgeable. She sent me a comprehensive email with other options, prices, etc. Wow. These are perfect substitutes and I ended up ordering another pair to put away lest Asics discontinue this style. Zappos is so much more than the product. I love Zappos on every front.
I'd also recommend:
I stay with Asics.

This shoes are fantastic. I am not a runner, I work in a hospital and spend about 8 to 12 hours straight on my feet. I have terrible feet as a result. I've tried all kinds of professional shoes, dansko included and I still had excruciating pain. My foot doctor, who had been giving me injections suggested I get stability performance running shoes, which I thought was ridiculous at the time. I first tried the gel kayano, they were ok, but expensive. And the colors were meh. I saw these and they were on sale, got them in all black, I love a black shoe, but I was skeptical. When I got the, I wore them to work that night, and then on. I haven't had any injections since. I'm not pain free but, the difference is night and day. I can't believe how great these are.

After some research, I bought these shoes for my 19 year old daughter who has flat feet. They're light in weight and provide excellent arch support. She noticed a difference in comfort from the Nikes she's always worn as soon as she tried them on. She's now running, and exercising in general, without pain in her feet, shins or knees. My daughter usually wears a size 9, but I ordered a 9.5 after reading reviews that state these run small. The 9.5 fit, but I might even have been okay with a 10 (I'd feel better if she had more room in the toe box, but my daughter likes her shoes to fit snugly). Definitely order a half size up, if not a full size. The only reason I hesitated in buying these shoes is that, compared to others, this pair isn't very stylish. I bought the lightning/dazzling blue/pink combo because it was the most colorful, but the shoes still have sort of a ... mall-walking-granny feel to them. I hate that style had to be sacrificed for function, but, in the end, am happy that my daughter's feet are happy. "Style" note: These shoes have black speckles on the white rubber part of the instep nearest the arch. My husband and I thought ink from the "DUOMAX" stamp had splattered and that the pair we received had a defect. The Zappos customer service rep I spoke to about it kindly referred me to the next-to-last photo in the series detailing the shoe, assuring me that the speckles were part of the design. Sure as hell, I could see them in the product pic and hung up without exchanging them as I'd intended. Just thought I'd mention it because the rep told me she's taken MANY calls along the same lines. Bottom line? Function and comfort? A+. Style and swag? C.

Lightweight, comfortable running shoe. Shoes is both supportive and flexible. Fits well on moderately wide feet.

I am delighted that as soon as I think about a particular shoe, Zappos unfailingly sends it to me with alacrity and dispatch. This shoe is so quiet and understated that I am able to get away with wearing it in my office environment without calling attention to myself. Just kidding...this shoe is like walking on a cloud with great arch support!

Super great for diabetics (Type 1), best walking shoes (I know that they were running shoes); used them for 10 days at Disney World for 10 days and 12 hours in the parks.

I've bought lots of tennis shoes for walking. These by far exceeded my expectations. In September I sprained my right ankle which has continued to hurt with any shoe I've been wearing. Decided to search for a pair of shoes with great arch support and finally I have found them. These shoes have helped my right foot to stop hurting! I'll definitely buy more of these! SSC in TN

Wish they'd re-instate the GT 21... series. That was fantastic. Everything they've done since the 2160 and 2140 to "improve" the sneaker just makes it worse. This is a very cheaply made shoe, not nearly the cushioning of the old Asics. Very narrow toe box and sides, too.

I buy nothing but Asics. I was very disappointed with my last pair, considering they were a lot and uncomfortable but they are wonderful compared to these. The worst shoes I've ever bought. No arch support and rock hard foot bed. If you are expecting to get comfort like Asics used to make don't buy these!

Personally, I found these shoes to be extremely comfortable and for long periods of time wearing them. I find something here interesting--have you noticed that every single person who complained about these shoes sent in their comment anonymously ????? Either cowards or they work for Nike!!

I appreciate being able to find an 11 narrow shoe. I use an insert for extra arch support, and my plantar fasciitis has not returned since using these shoes. This is probably my 4th pair.

I have flat feet and terrible knees. Asics have always been my go-to choice for exercise shoes but these are incredible. I mostly use them for running and have had no knee problems since. Highly recommended!

These are great shoes right out of the box. I wear a 9 1/2 Narrow but had to order a 10 1/2 narrow for the right fit. They do run small. For long skinny feet, I like Asics.

I love these shoes. Every time my old shoe style goes out of stock I have to find the latest version which led me to the GT 1000 2. They are supportive, fit my orthotics and are comfortable. I have foot pain so finding a shoe that does not flare up my pain is a must. These are beneficial for me.

Love these shoes! Finally an athletic shoe that fits my size 11, narrow feet. I'll use them mostly for walking, the gel provides a cushion-y walk. The comfort and support is excellent, the style is nice, and I don't feel like I'm wearing huge shoes like I do with many athletic shoes. The narrow width is great - did I mention they really fit?

I am a big Asics fan - they fit my narrow foot well, but this shoe is too short. I have at least 8 pair of size 8 Asics in my closet, but this one going back.

These are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever bought! The fit is right on (7½ and medium width). I run, and do all types of cross training and they give me wonderful grip, are light, and I can wear them all day while I run around the hospital where I work without any foot pain.

These shoes run a little short. I first ordered in my normal 8N and had to exchange them for 8 1/2N. The shoes were comfortable straight out of the box with a moderate arch support. They are attractive with just enough color accents to be interesting.

I recently started getting back into running and my feet were starting to get really sore so I figured I needed new shoes. ASICs got me through my last marathon without any damage to my feet so I only buy ASICs shoes.
These shoes are very comfortable and offer awesome support. My feet are no longer sore. Many people say that New Balance are the best running shoes but I disagree, New Balance shoes are hard on your feet.
The only reason I marked it down was because the only style I could find was white. I don't care for white running shoes, I would have liked a different color. But they work great. Also the arch support on these is good but not great.

I really like the feel of my new Asics on my feet. I did pay attention to the reviews and ordered a half size bigger. They do run smaller. I have a hard time ordering shoes that actually fit. I was thrilled when I put these on and they fit and felt good!

I normally wear a size 9 so I ordered these in 9 wide anticipating a narrow fit. Unfortunately they're still too small. My toes rub up against the end of the toe box with every step. They also don't feel very wide, they feel about average width, which is too narrow for me. Also, the cushioning is way too stiff. After a 10 minute walk my heels were sore and tired. I felt as though I had just walked barefoot. The design is very nice, vibrant colors. I'd recommend these to people with narrow feet who are looking for a stiff shoe, but definitely go a 1/2 size up.

I was very disappointed with these shoes. I have bought ASICS online the last three times without a problem. Although they did look nice, these felt like I was walking on cardboard.

I originally ordered a size 9N because my previous (older) pair of Asics were that size. This one felt a little short so I exchanged it for a 9.5N and it's perfect!
