These are the best shoes. I have always worn Asics GT's but switched to the Kayano Gel 20 this year as the 20 has the best pronation control. The color choices really need to improve, however. I bought black only because the vivid bright multi-color shoes look garish and ridiculous. I hope that Asics color choices have some normalcy next year.

Amazing shoes and I am so happy to find this in black with my favorite colors as accents. I am 65 and have hip and knee problems. These shoes with the right arch support for my flat feet are heaven. Because they are black, I can wear them to work. I now wear them all the time. Before I had these shoes, I was in constant pain and was having trouble walking. Now I walk in adorable shoes (because of the colors) that have the support and cushion I need to avoid aggravating the problem as I work to improve my flexibility and strength - and I can walk for exercise now. The difference is amazing. This gives me so much hope. I JUST WISH SOMEONE SOLD 100% COTTON SOCKS THESE DAYS!!! I am not interested in all the reasons given for the new blend socks. I just want to be able to get quality 100% cotton socks again!! How can an entire industry let us down like that?

I LOVE this shoes. I feel like I'm running/walking on cushions when I'm wearing them. I've always been a fan of Asics but these are fantastic. They have extra cushion and nice arch support, which is important if your feet pronate. I will definitely by these shoes again.

I have tried both Gel-Kayano's and Gel-Nimbus by Ascic and prefer the Gel-Kayanos. They are extremely comfortable! I can't wait to put them on after a day of high heels. I walk 4-6 miles a day and even hike in them without a problem.

Only running shoe I have been able to wear. I have neuropathy and my feet are very sensitive. Very important that it comes in 12 .5. Most shoes only come in 12 or 13. Please keep making this size.

Extremely comfortable. I buy these based upon my podiatrist's recommendation of Asics for my plantar fasciitis. I tried going down to the Nimbus line but the Kayano provides much more support & comfort, the price difference is worth it. This is my 2nd pair of Kayano & I love them!

I do not like these. Less cushion for my feet. I miss the gel kayano 16, 17, and 18. Those were the best. I don't understand changing a good thing. If I would have known they were going to drastically change this shoe, I would have bought all I could in my size before the gel kayano 19 came out.

Love this shoe. A doctor destroyed my left foot so some toe bones go straight up and down and other toes bend far to the left. I have a terrible time with shoes..and pressure points are hard to ignore. I can only wear some sneakers and some merrells...This sneaker is the best sneaker I have ever walked in...Wonderful cushioning and the fabric stretch allows me to walk without pain... and plenty of toe room with no hard places to cause pressure points... I bought the black and get compliments every time I wear them... I also bought the white/tan to go with beige clothing...I would love to see more color options in this shoe...and please Asics don't change it...

Love this shoe! Not crazy about the color or appearance but a perfect fit. I realize that it is a running shoe however I use it for a work shoe because I am on my feet all day, sometimes up to 12 hours. Every since I started wearing them my knees no longer hurt and my bunions no longer hurt. They are not a wide shoe but because of the gel base they seem to mold right to my feet and at the same time provide exceptional support. The cost is high but the payoff for my feet and knees no longer hurting make it worth the price.

I have been wearing the ASICS Gel-Kayano for a few years (after sampling many other brands) and the Gel-Kayano 20 are by far my favorite. The updated changes make all the difference in additional cushioning and comfort for a much more enjoyable ride.

Amazing running shoe. The support in the heel is spectacular. I have planter fascia and normally need inserts, but with this sneaker I can run a few miles without pain. Best running shoe!

These are the best athletic shoes I have owned in years. I walked all day in these at the amusement park in hot weather, at least 5 miles. No breaking in really. My significant other was extremely impressed with the performance of these shoes. I usually complain and have to stop walking hours before. I have bad bunions and flat feet all of my life. The gel cushioning was really impressive. The arch supports could have been better, but the cushioning was the true magic component in this shoe, I thought. I felt like I could have walked another 2 miles possibly. These shoes are lightweight and airy. My feet did not get overly heated. I am not athletic and carry extra body weight. I am usually a New Balance person, but these Kayanos were so worth it! Highly recommend this shoe model!

I usually get the GEl- Nimbus, but this time I decided to try something new and I am so glad I did. OMG!!! I just recieved my Gel-Kayano, not only where they deliverd in record time the cushion in this is AWESOME I work 12 hours days in the the medical field and thess shoes get the job done hands down, I have read some of the reviews and a couple mention that there was not enough cushion in the Gel Kayano 20, well I find that not to be true, in order to get more padding or cushion in this shoe is that maybe you should consider placing a pillow in your shoe instead. This shoe is outstanding I wish I would have gotten 2 pairs. Asics you have a definte keeper on your hands with the Gel Kayano 20.

I have had problems with plantar fasciitis twice in the last 5½ years. I went to a shop in my area several months ago that specializes in athletic shoes. The man who assisted me has a PhD in kinesiology and recommended this brand of Asics to me. I bought this same model on Zappos because I wanted a festive color. All he could get me was black at the time. I will swear by these shoes. They brought instant relief and my feet have now healed. I will buy these shoes forever!

I love this shoe. I am a heavy girl (240 lbs). I have done a few workouts including some moderate jumping. Shoes are well cushioned and comfortable. I wear 2 pair of socks to get a snugger fit(I also order a half size larger to accommodate ingrown toenail issues). I think a half size larger would be good even if you wore the whole size because it doesn't seem overly large like some of the 10.5's I have in other types of shoes. The shoe seems a bit wide in the toe box but I like this. It isn't overly so. The tongue is nice and thick and protects top of your foot from the shoelaces. The tongue is long too and it doesn't slide around during workout. They are EXPENSIVE but my comfort is worth it. If you plan to jog these would be great. I am working toward that goal :) slowly and methodically!

Love this shoe! Bought version 18 a few years back and am glad I stuck with the model!!! Fantastic for runners with wide feet. Happy!!!!

Good support and I love the pink neon style! I was jogging with last year's Gel Keyano model before and after a year it was time to replace them. These are the perfect replacement. I bought a 1/2 size up from my normal shoe size because I've been told that your feet spread while running.

I bought my first pair of ASICS last year -- comfy! When I decided to alternate them with a new pair of ASICS, I wanted black for a change. Zappos was the most accessible place I could find Gel-Kayano 20s in black. They are extremely comfortable and supportive, perhaps more than the first pair (a Gel Kayano 15). This style was described by a salesperson at an athletic shoe store as "having all the bells and whistles". I wear them every day with my custom orthotics, and wear them everywhere (except to church on Sunday). I have plantar fasciitis, no fat pads, and a toe fracture that didn't heal quite right. My painful problem feet are now happy, thanks to Zappos.

I've been wearing this shoe (and its earlier inceptions) for 4 years now. It is the nirvana of comfort and stability, and with my custom orthopedic insert, this shoe is perfection for my flat instep and serious bunions. I find the shoe is perfect for all day wear, and I have a second pair for the treadmill. Love the black. Looks like a sneaker, but offers serious support.

These are an excellent transition from the Kayano-19 model. I overpronate when I walk, which means my feet are slightly flat-footed (thanks to running in poorly designed Nikes). The Kayano-20 is designed to correct moderate overpronation, so the foot rolls from the outer heel edge diagonally towards the large toe. These shoes do their job nicely. I go to the gym 4/5 days a week, and the treadmill is always part of my workout. These shoes stabilize my feet and gait, and also have extra shock absorbing gel inserts for comfort. They are also well ventilated and keep my feet very comfortable. I went back and bought another color, so I highly recommend these!

I love these shoes. In the past I have worn Saucony because they seemed to fit my narrow foot and very narrow heel the best, but I am so glad I tried these Asics Gel-K 20. I bought them in a narrow (hard to find in a running shoe) and for the first time in years, my arches do not hurt after exercising or wearing the shoe for an extended period of time. I also wore them around Sea World and Universal Studios for 3 full days of walking and my feet were not sore or in pain at all! I usually wear a 8 1/2 N in regular shoes and I bought a 9 N in these and they are just right. They were perfect out of the box, there was not a "break in" period for my feet to get used to them.

Unfortunately the Asics Gel Kayano 20 shoe I purchased through Zappos are NOT as comfortable as the pair I purchased through Foot Locker. At this cost a pair I wish I had not worn them 3 times before making this discovery! Oh well.

I have had plantar fasciitis for years, and have only gotten relief shortly when I wore the Asics 2160s and since then nothing helps my feet. I figured since these shoes have the supposedly best arch support and are so expensive that they must be awesome, wrong. I only wore them for a few hours and I got a horrible blister on the arch of my foot because this new thing, that makes them tight around the middle of your foot is there. This never happened with any other shoes before and at this price I am very upset. I wrote to Asics and hoping to get my money back or a new pair. There is no arch support and the heels are not tight like the old Asics shoes have been. They are much too cushiony to be supportive, maybe that is because I'm overweight though, I do not know, but I am very disappointed in these. I even ordered 2 pair of them one in wide width and one regular, the wide is too wide and the regular seems too tight. Just horrible fit, and horrible for plantar fasciitis, my feet were all over the place in these shoes. I need support and these definitely do not give any. I overpronate slightly and have narrow heels and slightly wider forefoot. I am now ordering the cheap Asics which have great reviews too but as I've tried the 2170s the Kayano 18s these, I am not optimistic, the reviews seem to be all wrong for some reason or maybe I just need better support I know I don't need motion control as I have bought those type of shoes before and they made my feet end up under pronating, so I know I need stability shoes. I hope someone else has better luck, if you have Plantar Fasciitis do not get these shoes if you need support.

I am very upset. I bought two pairs of these shoes because I thought they'd have excellent arch support as they are the most expensive Asics there are. Boy, was I wrong. They are horrible. They feel more like neutral shoes to me. They are very cushiony which is usually how neutral shoes are, they are marked stability, and I don't know how these are stable, my feet were all over the place and the heels feel bigger then usual Asics too that is why I bought Asics brand because they used to be the only shoes that cupped my heels and kept them stable, but not these at all. I am very upset. I need shoes so I decided since I like how they look I'll just keep one pair and get orthotics, so I wore them out and I got a big burn or blister type thing on my inner arch of my foot due to the material and rubbing, I guess, as these are not stable and my feet were sliding all over the place. I am in a ton of pain today and I am sure I am now stuck with these. Crazy. I do not think I will try another pair of Asics again after this. I used to wear the 2160s and loved them except the little toe part ripped within a few months, but ever since then none of them are good. I have tried the 2170 and those are horrible too. Wish I could find some shoes to relieve this plantar fasciitis pain already. I have had it for years with barely any relief.

Love Asics, use them with my custom orthodontics. Second pair of Asics since my doctor recommended, not going back to a different brand! I wished Zappos had more color options for the Gel Kayano 20 though. the pink I ordered were hyper pink.
