Love these. Definitely keeping. I got the grey. It can almost pass for a dark brown. I will wear these with black, grey and brown. Need a little breaking in but overall quite comfortable. I can tell the zipper in the back, although nicely covered on the inside, will rub my heel for a while but I think they will break in and plenty of room for winter socks. Sized a little larger for socks which is exactly how I like boots. I ordered my regular size and they fit just the way I want them to.

I usually size my boots a bit on the loose side, so I can opt for thicker socks. However, I got these in my usual 10 and these are just a smidge snugger so will have to settle for knee highs stockings (is that uncool to say? but heh...). However, the leather is beautiful, well made and stylish. The lower heel is lower than my usual but only add to the already out-of-the-box comfortable fit. I they still look fab.

I absolutely LOVE this boot! I got the gray and it is neutral and goes with everything. I am so happy that I got a low heel boot that is so stylish. Moving on to comfort and mine required absolutely no break in time. They were so comfortable right out of the box. I have worn them constantly, and I have had absolutely no issues. I couldn't be more pleased and I am so happy I bought them. I love the heel height and the soles and they are super quality. Cute and comfy! You won't be sorry if you buy these boots.

I love this boot. Usually wear a 10, ordered an 11 because I wanted to wear them with socks. The fit was perfect! They are stylish, comfortable and just SO cool. I wear them with jeans and skirts/dresses with tights. I walk a lot around the City and I have happy feet. LOVE! Even the box they come in is beautiful. Nicely done Taos!

Would have loved to keep these boots but the sizing really seems to be as "off' as other reviewers alluded to. I wear between an 8 - 8.5, and normally need to add a sock to make 8.5s fit perfectly. I ordered an 8.5 in the Taos Bolero. It's fine with a very thin sock or tights but with a regular sock, the shoe was far too tight. Will be returning.

These boots looked so cute and were supposed to be so comfortable that I couldn't wait to get them. I was so disappointed. They looked great but they rubbed my heels. Putting the zipper on the back was a mistake IMHO. I was expecting so much more for the price. I sent both pair of Taos back and ordered Cobb Hill boots.

I like these boots a lot. I just had a little trouble with the right foot...seemed a little tight causing a neuroma top flare. It may have worked itself out but don't want to risk it. They're going back.

Very comfortable, I have worn them going everywhere you can think off, work, shopping, travel...name it. Very sturdy boots.

Cute, comfortable. Have loved my Taos sandals & flats, but wasn't sure these were sufficiently supportive for my metarsal arch isssue. So I cleaned house, up & down stairs all day. Great then, great today.

I still have not made a decision about these boots. They are nicely made, I like the style. I have slim ankles and can only slip four fingers into the top of the boot, so they probably would only fit tights or snug leggings.

Very stylish and comfortable. Well made and easy access with the back zipper. Runs a little large, but not a full half size, thicker socks or thin inner soles did the trick. Look expensive!

I LOVE these boots! The first time I wore them I had them on the whole day and they were really comfortable. They're very well made and nothing rubs or pinches, I generally wear a 7 1/2 or 8' so I ordered an 8 and it fits well with a light weight stocking. I think the boot is definitely worth the price. Zappos' service was great, as usual! Thank you for the great choices.

These Boots are so cute and comfortable. Got many compliments. To be worn with skirts or pants. I think of myself as being a size 9, narrow, and those fit very well (not 8.5 or 9.5 which happens with many others brands). Zappo service impeccable as usual. I recommend those highly to boot lovers like myself!

Very comfortable with good arch support. Flexible sole. Runs a little short. Regular width gives a little more room than other similar booties I have tried. Cute boot but will return since too short.

These fit the criteria I had. I wanted booties that were comfortable and stylish, a little edgy, easy on and off, with a very low heel. I have mild plantar fasciitis and high arches, and I've gotten used to wearing Orthaheel and very comfortable flats. These are not the same level of support as Orthaheel, but they're cushiony and are wearable out of the box, which is good because there's no extra room to put an insert. I'm a size 8 1/2. Occasionally I wear an 8, rarely a 9. My foot is average width. This shoe is not designed to allow for thick winter socks. This fits like it would for hose, or tights, or a thin sock. The fit is roomy, especially in the heel area. The leather is smooth and very nice. I almost did not buy these because of a review that stated the zipper area rubbed against her heel. I'm happy to report that it does not rub mine. I can't imagine it doing that unless your foot is too long for the shoe, or you got a defective shoe. I found the inside of the shoe well constructed and designed for comfort.

This is a really nice-looking and comfortable boot, very stylish. But I felt my toes were just a teeny bit cramped and - for the price - it wasn't perfect for my foot.

These are cute (kind of) if you're looking for brown boots. But...they're brown, and I had ordered the gray. I guess their excuse for calling them gray was a slight bit of grayish hue in the decorative buckle straps...or something. In an event, they're going back. I can report also that other customers' experience with the fit is roughly consistent with mine. I could have worn them, but they would have been slightly tight in the toe box, and not all that comfortable.

I love the way these shoes look and really wanted to keep them. I even ordered them in different sizes to try to get the right fit. I typically wear a 7.5/8. After trying on an 8 in a local store, and finding it tight, I decided to try out several sizes on Zappos (8.5 & 9). They have a very similar fit to clogs: tight on the toe, loose in the back. I couldn't get the balance right so that they fit the front and back of my foot equally well. Other reviewers also mentioned this issue. They also reminded me of clogs in terms of their hardness. They were very uncomfortably hard. And yet they also ran narrow; when I tried to add a more cushiony insole, the ball of my foot was squeezed in all the sizes I tried. I finally had to send them back! Such a shame. I would not recommend this shoe to people with "problem" feet as you will likely have a hard time getting a comfortable fit.

The style is amazing. Loved the look! However, I have a small ankle and the boot doesn't get close to hugging my foot. I lose my balance. The are going back.

There is beautiful leather on this shoe, that is soft and supple. I was disappointed in the fit after I wore them for one day. I purchases the Taoes sandals last spring and I loved them so much that I thoght I would splurge on these shoes. The heel seems flater than advertised and the shoes are tight after you wear them all day.
