I'm a bike commuter and leisure rider using crank brothers egg beater pedals on a cross bike. I wanted the truk pro's for exactly what they promise - sufficient bike shoes and stylish enough city shoes so you don't have to carry that extra pair. The quality of materials and construction is top notch as I expect from chrome. The sizing is exactly as they recommend - order a half size down. Fit - let's talk about this in two ways. 1. When riding these feel great. No slipping, etc. 2. When walking, these feel like bowling shoes. Something about the heel cup ... and don't get angry that the cleats still tap on the floor and there is still a "bike shoe" walk. These aren't magic. The cleats don't disappear when you start walking. Overall I'm stoked about these shoes and they are delivering as promised.

Finally an spd compatible shoe that's good looking without compromising functionality. I bought these just before I biked the RAGBRAI - 420 miles across Iowa this past year. I was in these a lot - both on and off the bike. They're definitely easier to walk in than traditional hard sole shoes, but seamless. You can still hear a click on hard surfaces even with the recessed spd compartment. But it's far better for walking that anything else. After a week of hard riding plus many more miles in the city, they're still looking great. Definitely a durable shoe. You can't beat its function, utility, and style.

Love the shoes. I commute with them and can walk around without looking like a weirdo while not sacrificing much performance on the bike. Obviously they aren't as well suited for cycling as standard cycling shoes, but they strike a fine balance between street shoes and cycling shoes. I did order a half size smaller than normal and they fit fine. A bit tighter around the toe box than I would prefer but they are loosening up as I wear them more.

These are my second pair of Chrome shoes. My first pair I got the women's version of these on sale from a Chrome store over a year ago. The women's were not as great of quality and the white sole made them look cheap and old when dirty. I love the black on black for this pair. The material of these is thick and water resistant which is great to protect your feet while riding. I didn't notice the reflector stripe on the heel until after these came in the mail, which is another bonus! Especially for night riding. Good value for the money, these shoes will hold up. They are still a bit stiff after wearing for a few weeks but I'm still hoping I'll be able to break them in some more.

Exactly what I'd hoped they'd be. Aside from the unavoidable clicking that comes with SPD shoes, they're comfortable, they're good looking, they're perfectly functional, they're great. I will say that I was glad to read reviews ahead of time and try the mixed-up pair before getting the exact shoes I wanted because the fit was a full size larger than marked. Further, my experience with Zappos was extraordinary. There was a mix up with my shoes, they fixed it, and went above and beyond because of inconveniences that I experienced. It was very clear to me that my positive experience was an utmost priority to the 2 Zappos employees I worked with over the phone. I have since mentioned the impressive customer service I experienced with multiple people since, unsolicited. It made me a more loyal customer. Kudos all around.

They look great while biking around the city and easier to walk in than most clip shoes when you have to get off your bike to pick up something from a store. They are narrow though. Not sure why most clip biking shoes are made so narrow.

Great shoes. Easy to walk in and I almost never hear my cleats scratching on the pavement. I had a pair of DZR/Mission Workshop collaboration SPD sneakers before this, the Rondel. The DZRs looked better but the Truk Pros are MUCH stiffer, and better for walking. The toe is a little boxy, but that'll come in handy for thick socks once the weather gets colder. I'm not thrilled on all-black sneakers in general, but the performance of these is so great I highly recommend them.

These are medium-stiff and work great with clipless pedals. You can also walk around these in reasonable comfort.

The quality and contstruction of these shoes is superb. I'm sure they will go for hundreds of miles on anyone who has the right fit for them. Unfortunately, that's not me. My feet are too wide and the shoes are too narrow. Also, the upper part of the shoe kept rubbing my ankles. Again, it's just me. Friends have these shoes and swear by them. They're comfortable and look like they can last forever.
I'd also recommend:

I was initially drawn to these shoes for their everyday, subtle styling. The fabric (not sure if it's canvas) has a sheen to them, which I would much rather prefer it to be matte like Van's but maybe that's where the water resistance comes from. Size down like others have suggested. I wear an 8 1/2 in Vans, got an 8 in these and the length is about the same. Width is slightly narrower than Vans. Not uncomfortably narrow but noticeable and I'm hoping the fabric will have some give after wear. The wrench color is sort of a blueish grey, bordering on faded denim. All in all a nice shoe, thinking about getting a pair in the black colorway.

I bought them down a half-size after trying on the regular Truk in my normal size. they're breaking in a bit and they're comfortable enough, I think they'll be perfect in another few miles.

Yes, these are narrow shoes. By that, I mean the toe box does not accommodate a normal foot. Disappointing. I was really hoping to find a normal-looking shoe for commuting on a bike with clip-in pedals.

Don't think you can get these and just use them as casual walking shoes...because of the hardware built in it feels like you're wearing those goofy "step-ups" shoes. Trying not to rag on them too bad, I should have known better.

I have wider feet, but the toe box is so small I don't see how anyone could where these. Plus, the opening is so wide it was impossible to tighten the shoes enough to keep my heel from popping out. I wish they made a style where only the forefoot was stiff, instead of the entire sole. This would make them much more walkable.

I bought these shoes to wear at work when riding my bike to work. I have Shimano M540 pedals so I thought these shoes would work perfectly. The shoes look great. They are a little more narrow than size 9.5 shoes normally are. My biggest complaint is the spd cleats are not recessed enough so they drag along the ground just like my bike shoes. I was hoping these would alleviate the tap shoes effect of normal bike shoes. They do not.

The left shoe was incorrectly threaded and the piece of metal holding my clips on both feet could shift within the sole even after installation making unclipping inconsistent and difficult.
