I usually wear an 8.5. I ended up having to order a 10 in these shoes. The problem is that they are not tall enough across the toe. So while the shoe is long enough for my foot it smashes the tops of my big toenail. Because I have to get them in a 10 they are far too wide and I'm afraid they will go flying off my feet, so I walk carefully. Because I had to get them so much bigger toe cleavage shows. They also have no heel whatsoever, think like slippers, not even that little quarter inch heel that most ballet flats have. Not even like other Mel shoes have. You may want to put a heel cushion in if you are going to be walking long distances on hard surfaces. It's seriously like walking in bare feet. The glitter is kind of rough around the inside edge of the shoe so I filed it down with a nail file and it's much better. Lucky these shoes are cute or else I wouldn't have put up with all their issues.

These are great shoes! I was looking for a cute black flat to pair with crops and skinny jeans and these were perfect! They are great in the rain and they won't make your feet smell to high heaven if you wear them without socks. In addition, they don't have too much of a plastic look like other jelly types of shoes have. I have wide feet and many flats look very boaty, but these are slim and sleek! I will keep buying these as a staple of my wardrobe. I usually wear an 8.5 and happily wear a 9 in these.

Love these! I bought them in Gold and Black, I walk to and from to work in these everyday! I have no blistering at all. I love how they molded to my feet as I wore them. I am a firm believer in Mel's and Melissa Shoes!!!

These are very lightweight and hug your feet comfortably leaving no blisters. Even through the toe box is tapered, it does not squeeze your toes. I have other colors. Would like to see more colors made available again.

These shoes fit perfectly and I love the style, I found them true to my size 5 feet. The only weird thing is that both shoes I have from this brand soften my toenail polish, and it eventually rubs off. I wish it did not do that, but that will not stop me from wearing these shoes.

I am so happy with this purchase! I got the pair in metallic brown. The shape is very nice and looks great on the foot. Croc-like material, waterproof, good tread, light on the foot, has holes, so good ventilation. For the price, it is a steal.

I wear an 8.5 and the 9 fit perfectly. It's extremely flat, not a problem for everyone but not great for the wedding I chose them for. Great if you need a flat flat.

It's a really comfortable shoe. Don't worry about skinning the back of your feet. Very soft...glitter is too sweet, but little bit off.

These shoes are really cute, and much more comfortable than I thought they would be. I am between a 7.5 and an 8 and ordered an 8 in the black. They feel like they run a little small, since they cut into my foot a little by my big toe along the opening, and at my heel, but they seem to soften the longer I wear them, and haven't caused blisters. The black is more of a subtle glitter than it looks in the picture.

Absolutely adorable! Even more glittery in person than in pics. As for sizing, I'm usually a 9-9 1/2 and ordered the size 10 based on other reviews saying these run small. The tens are a perfect fit, so I think if you're between sizes you should definitely go up a size. As a side note, I wore my last pair of Melissa shoes nearly every day of the last 5 summers and they've held up great! Melissa shoes are surprisingly durable. I'm so glad to have another style to choose from.

Overall it's a good shoe. I got a few other Mel shoes that I absolutely LOVE but this pair squeezes my toes a bit.

For the person who wrote that it made their toenail polish soft and it rubbed off, that happened to me too. Very bizarre.

Super cute, but these shoes run extremely small. I normally wear a 6 or 6-1/2. I ordered a 7 which was really short and hurt my toes. I have to return them.

I love the look of these so much but the are so tight across the top of the toe. The shoe is not too small, the top of the toe of the shoe leaves no room for the tops of your toes! This would smash my toenails if I kept them. Going up in size they would fall off my feet. Too bad, I wanted these shows to work, but people have toes so we're going to need space for them in our shoes.

I really like the shape of this shoe and the pattern of the cutouts. What I did not realize until I received them is that the surface is literally covered in glitter. Cute but not for me. I ordered them in gold and found the color of the gold a little brassy- also not my taste. I am returning them for these reasons. I wish they were available in a non-glitter, subtle metallic tone.
