As a long term wearer of Birkenstocks, I found it difficult to find a pair of steel toes for work that did not leave my feet aching all day. I would often find myself rushing to change back into my Birks immediately after getting off of work just to relieve the pain in my arches. There is really no substitute for the natural foot bed Birkenstocks provide once your feet have adjusted to it. I was blown away to find this little gem tucked away on Zappos I have been wearing Birks for over 15 years and had no idea they made work shoes. The treads are super grippy, and non slip, and the outer is a pretty heavy duty rubber, the heel is a little taller than I am used to but over all I am so jazzed about these shoes that I am going to recommend them to all of my coworkers.

I ordered these for work. I am a chef and spend long hours on my feet each day. I have worn other Birkenstock clogs in the past and have always been relatively happy with them. Many reviews I read before purchasing stated that these don't run true to size, but this wasn't the case for me. I found the sizing to be accurate. The issue is that these things treated my feet like a medieval torture device. I wore them around my house for a couple of hours trying to break them in a little but wound up with angry red areas at the base of each big toe on the tops of my feet. I took them off and figured I'd try again the following day. When I put them back on the next day I couldn't take more than a dozen steps before significant discomfort compelled me to remove them, box them up and print a return label. I don't see them ever breaking in because the material they are made of is incredibly stiff with no give whatsoever. The cork footbed is comfortable while standing in one place but walking just murdered my feet. I have never had shoes that hurt like this...not even close. Would give zero stars for comfort but webpage won't let me.

I got the shoes on time as promised. Yes, the size runs big so I ordered a size smaller. I've worn them for a month now and my feet feel so good and it is very comfortable. I work in the warehouse and do lots of walking and these shoe are the best shoes I've found. Co workers are planning on ordering some. I recommend these shoes to family and friends.

This is a comfortable shoe, but as other reviewers have stated, it definitely runs big. Also the low back makes it difficult for fast walking if your environment is a large manufacturing plant. I am returning it and looking for a lace up shoe better for walking.

These are replacements for a pair I bought a dozen years ago that finally started to disintegrate. I wear them all the time in punishing conditions and in all seasons at my country property. I noted other reviewers’ concerns about fit but I ordered my normal Birkenstock size and the fit is right. The insole that came with these clogs is a bit flatter than what you might be used to with Birk clogs (the Boston, for example) but I had a spare pair of cork insoles from a lighter Birk garden clog that has the toe bar and they are a satisfactory substitute if you need it. These fit nicely and over a couple of weeks, the cork has acquired the “foot fit” that I expect. I wouldn’t go so far as to call these stylish but they are definitely serviceable and I’m glad I have them next to the door. Easy on, easy off; completely waterproof; excellent support; reputation for long service. That adds up to a good purchase for me.

These run big! I’m a 37 in Birkenstock sandals. I had to return the 37 and get a 36 in these! If you need a comfy, steel toe shoe, these are it!!

Bought these for working outside. Had to re-order one size smaller than normal. Great for outside in the dirt and snow so far

Ordered 2 sizes small because there was nothing instock for 1 size small. It was a great mistake because 2 sizes small fits perfect. Great shoe, great price!

I usually wear a 7.5 and had to order a 5 but I love these shoes. I need steel toe shoes when I go out on the plant floor and these are easy to slip on and off as needed.

Industrial shoe for safe work! I am an artist - I carve stone sculptures. These are perfect. Toes are safe from tools and stone. AND I can hose them off. Perfect. I got a 39 even though in other Birkies I get a 40. I am OK with them just being black. They will be dusty when in use anyway. Look like any other Birkie. They are heavier but I will just be in a garage sized area when in use, with safe toes. Very unisex shoes. I am pleased.

Wearing them on a cement floor. They are very comfortable. The width is correct. I ordered a size smaller than normal but maybe should have gone two sizes smaller. They are bit long.

I work standing for 10 hour shifts and have not found the usual work shoe comfortable for my old flat feet. I've tried all kinds of inserts with disappointing results. So, after long days and sore feet I'd come home and wear my Birk sandals to relieve the foot pain and feel like a foot massage. I'd browsed Birk shoes but never spotted the steel-toed clogs before. So I chatted with the Zappos online help to be sure they met my needs (oil slip resistant, etc) and they were great to look everything up for me promptly. As the reviews said there run big, so I ordered a size 40 as I usually wear a 41 with their sandals. Well, they came a day ago, fit like a glove, and I don't want to take them off! I can't believe that there is a shoe that feels better than being barefoot but it's true! The footbed support is amazing. So I'm wearing them this weekend for a bit of break-in and the true test at work Monday. I think this was money well spent and I'm looking forward to my new experiment with an alternative work shoe in an oily slippery environment that seems to eat up my usual work shoe. I liked these shoes for the purpose of working in an electronics lab where ESD protection is required and steel toe is recommended. I purchaced one (EU) size than chart and the one size smaller that Birkenstocks I usually wear. The shoes were still too large and had to return. The return was smooth and painless.

This is my second pair of Aipros. I am a chef and work in the kitchen all day; these are the most comfortable shoes I have owned. I've tried Birki Pros, Dansko, Red Wing, and Sanita. These are my favorites.

I followed reviewers advice and bought a size smaller than the converter chart recommeneded, but the shoes were still huge on my feet. However, they were awesome. I'd suggest 2 sizes smaller than the conversion chart.

This is great for a "required" work shoe. There is a removable cushion inside to accommodate orthodics if needed. I ordered a woman's 37, as I normally wear a size 6 1/2 or 7 depending on the brand/type of shoe but this was definitely a size bigger than needed. I am returning for the 36. I must have steel toe electrical rated shoes for the warehouse I work at.

Length is OK (slippage as in closed back clogs) Too wide. Put cushioning around the (inside of)top edge, which helped a little, but toes hit top of steel cap, when walked (still too much foot movement.) Poor fit but good and sturdy thick plastic.

I really wanted these shoes to fit. As someone with a wider foot, I have always had problems fitting into safety shoes. While these shoes definitely ran bigger than others and the toe box was wider throughout, it still wasn't enough to accommodate my wide foot. If you have a "regular" foot width, you will probably love these. I usually wear a size 43, decided to order a 42, then had to exchange them for 41's as the 42's were still much too long for my foot. Besides not comfortably fitting my foot, these shoes were excellent. The build quality was top notch, and they seemed like they would last a long time. For the couple hours I wore them for, I would definitely buy them again if they came in a wider size.

I work in the office end of a manufacturing plant and very occasionally have to throw on safety shoes so I decided to try these slip-ons. They didn't work for me though because after a few steps, the top of the shoe (the "tongue" area) hit against the top of my arch (and I don't have high arches). Because the shoe material is very sturdy, this was immediately uncomfortable. And by the way, I read lots of reviews saying to order down so I ordered my usual Birk size and one size down. The smaller size seemed the right length but when I took out the insert and stood on it, I found that my usual size was more correct. However, the larger size was much more clunky and difficult to drag around. Keep in mind though that I don't wear safety shoes much so not used to the added weight. Overall, very solid shoes and especially if you're used to wearing Birks and you feel comfortable in them, I recommend at least trying them.

Overall the shoes fit my needs. They are not quite as easy a slip on as I had hoped, but doable. They are fairly stiff shoes as they are all plastic, and as such if you leave them in a cold environment they will take a long time to warm up. They are generally comfortable and as advertised.

This shoe was a bit stiff at first, putting a lot of pressure on the top of my foot as I walked. Overall, they are pretty comfortable though. Very good in slippery conditions.

Toes free rubbed on inside as dragged weight of shoe since heel not holding shoe in place. Used same same size Tokyo Birkenstock I have had for years from Zappos and love.

Omg these hurt my feet so bad! Cant get through the break in period when my feet cramp up after only a few minutes wearing them!!
