Except that it is not made from leather, these shoes fit and feel very much like the old school Birkenstocks of this style. However, sizing is different. My older Birkenstocks are size 40, so I first ordered these shoes in a 40, but that was way too big. I exchanged them for a 39, which was still significantly too big. Next, I tried a 38, and was not sure if that was too big. So, I kept them, while ordering a 36 to compare those two sizes. The 36 felt a little bit small, so I am returning them. So, for me, a 38 worked best, even though I always used to wear a 40 in Birkenstock, and I still continue to wear a 40 in Dansko. Hope this helps you make the best guess as to your size. I think the shoes are definitely worth finding your right size.

This is the best purchase that I made so far. They definitely need that extra time to break in. If you do not have the patience to give this a try, you are definitely missing out. My initial reaction when I first put it on was less than pleasant. Very stiff, they hurt my feet and hardly any give at all, but after wearing them around the house for two days trying out different foot placements, they fit like no other shoes. I have a very wide feet.

If you want to look like a clown, buy these shoes! They are giant rubber shoes that look cheap cheap cheap! Birkenstocks is going downhill fast! These shoes didn’t even feel like Birkinstocks when on, like flat insoles. Just ridiculous, that Birkenstock would sell something so bad is just plain sad. I also, ordered a pair of boots. They’re going back as well. They’re just ordinary boots with a thin Birkenstock sole insert that falls out! Sad, once again! Even their sandals fall apart in less than a year. I’ve been a fan of Birkenstock for 30 years, and now my business will be going elsewhere! They’re trying to get away with cheating out on production by using crappy materials and still charging high prices! I would have put zero stars, but that wasn’t an option.

I find these shoes to be very comfortable for all day wear. They are completely water-proof so can be worn in a few inches of snow and slush. The material is hard so protects your feet from accidents. Basically a great work shoe. Style-wise, they're Birks; function and comfort come first.

This style runs a size smaller than other Birkenstock type clogs but with the correct sock it fits just right. Great support for being on my feet 4 to 10 hours at a time. It took a few hours to break them in - felt stiff at first - but gradually the shoes “relax” to mold to my feet.

As a working chef for 27 years. I found these to be the most comfortable shoes to date. Added the Protalus insole and my feet are the happiest in years.

Great work shoe for the kitchen. Great traction in all conditions, water, and oil. Long lasting. If you normally wear Birkenstocks this shoe will feel heavier than normal and will take sometime to adjust, but worth it. My six pair of this model.

They were a little too big and fit too loosely. I also wanted something softer. Thank you for your help.

I just have 2 words for this shoes: excellent and clean. I love this shoes, are very confortable and clean, I work in a Kitchen and I don't like it When the food in the floor's Kitchen from sticking to the soles of my shoes. With this kind a shoes nothing is stuck, because are very clean. Thanks to my friend Erick Runnel, he recommend me this web site.

I am a bakery manager and average 12 hour days. I've worn this for 3 weeks now; I love this shoe. I had to go down 1 size to get a proper fit. I had problems with Danskos but none with these. Slip resistance is excellent; I don't slip on wet ladders, wet floors and floors covered with cornmeal. Took about a week to break in.

These shoes are great but run really big. I am a woman, wear an 11, which is a 42 in this size. I had to go down 3 sizes! So I am waiting for a 39. It should fit. Just FYI, they run huge!

Birkenstock rubber clogs are useful for work in wet areas such as kitchens. Great arch support but new owners will be in pain for a few days as their feet adjust. Some folks hate how these rubber clogs look. The A630 cork inserts cost $30 per pair and fit many other clogs with removable inserts. The combination of Birk A630 inserts and leather Born clogs works great for me.

I wear size 45 in the Birkenstock Boston and Arizona. This shoe was large a 44 fit well. Comfortable to wear and stand for many hours. Slip resistant sole works real well. Washes off easily. Great Kitchen Shoe.

These are very comfortable shoes! The sizes are right on so if you want them to be a little loose order a size up. There are several reviews that say they run big but that was not the case with mine. I actually had to exchange them for a larger size.

Great looking shoes, but I wish they had been advertised as "runs large" - I ordered my normal size 40 regular and they are too big and way too long for me. I did expect the extra wide fit, but, a pair of thick socks will fix that. I just ordered an exchange for a size 39 and hopefully I won't have to exchange that pair for a size 38. These are better looking on me than my Birkenstock London clogs. They don't seem as stiff and clunky looking as the other work models. They felt comfy. I'll be disappointed if I can't get a pair to fit. The exchange/return process is so easy - thanks Zappos!

I was determined to make this shoe work because I stand in surgeries all day. Has anyone experience an extreme "pinch" at the head of the 5th metatarsal? had to modify the cork insole by shaving with a knife and even bought woodworking tools to shave an extruded "ridge" that runs the length of the toe box. great standing and walking shoe now, but weirdly narrow at the lateral side of the clog.

Great shoe for kitchen work. I usually wear the birki Profi, but those run short, so I’ve had to order up, and put an extra insole inside. These unfortunately, run a little snug, I had to order a size up. Clogs are supposed to feel roomy, they take some getting used to, and they also stretch over time.

Larger than expected. I've worn Birks for over 20 years, but have had problems with consistent fit over the last 10. This clog is really large. It is well made and will probably hold up for a long time. I am going to reorder a smaller size and see if it fits.

Love them. I like them a bit loose, so I don't mind the extra room. Suggest a size smaller if you like the to be spot on. I am a chef in my feet all day and night. Feel great. Took a few days to break in.

I was really bummed to have to send these shoes back. They are very well made and have a really cool, industrial look. However, I have a wide foot and the shoes were uncomfortably tight. I first got a pair a size smaller than I normally wear as recommended here and I could barely put them on. I replaced them with a pair my size, but still way too tight even though the toe box was roomy and fit loosely.

I'm not sure what's going on here but I bought these for a family member who has been wearing size 42. We have RETURNED these shoes 4 times because the sizing is too big. Is there an issue with the labeling of the size? I just can't believe his feet shrunk 4 sizes when he's wearing his other shoes also size 42 just fine. Questioning Birkenstock's manufacturing process for these styles but hoping to get the right size soon..

I am a chef and work long hours standing up on my feet, so finding supportive, non-stick but comfortable shoes is a must for me. I've bought several types of brands and types, from cheap Payless shoes, decent but have to replace every 8-12 month Shoes for Crews, overall great shoe but the non-stick is OK and wear out quickly Merrels... I heard Birkenstock were some of the best, that this particular shoe is pretty much indestructible, and that the "fancy cork" insole is the most comfortable thing ever after a week of breaking in. Here is a review after using them for 2 months. These are the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever worn. Not just work shoes, but shoes in general, and it's because of the cork insole that comes with them. They are literally harder than the inside of the rubber shoe. I have never had a shoe that made my knees, ankles, feet, and SHIN BONE hurt after using them for long periods. 8 hour shifts would result in hurting feet and ankles. 12+ resulted in the whole leg, resulting in my using my old work shoes the next day because they hurt that much. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt for the whole break in period but they're crap. I just got rid of the stock insole and bought some Dr. Scholls - Work and already they're 10x better. For the non-stick, actually pretty darn good. Shoes for Crews (I think) has the best non-stick technology but these are a close second. Only in the slickest of conditions will these shoes give a bit, but I always feel secure wearing them. Since they are a one piece design that means that the tread don't come off or crack on the bottom like most other abused shoes do, so I feel like the actual shoe will last several years. Buy these for the indestructible shoe, not for the comfort. You'll need to add your own soles if you want to actually want to work in these.
