I bought this shoe for a weekend backpacking trip. I'm glad I wore the shoe to work before going on the trip because I discovered that this shoe has no arch support. My knees were aching by the end of the day. I went to my running store the day before we left and bought Green SuperFeet to replace the insoles and hoped for the best on my trip (I don't wear insoles or orthotics in my regular running shoes). I'm happy to say the SuperFeet insoles worked. I had no knee pain during my hike. However I'm disappointed that Keen would make a shoe like this that offers people zero support. After paying this much for the shoe, I expect it to support me and not result in leg pain. I shouldn't have to buy $40 insoles on top of that. Other than the insole issue, the shoe performed really well. It was quite muddy on this hike and we had a lot of shallow stream crossings. The shoe was waterproof and kept my feet dry and the traction on the muddy trails was quite good.

I have a long history with Keen and promote them, until now. Great color scheme, loved the look. I think they have a thief at the factory stealing the old insole because this is ridiculous. I wear barefoots frequently, enjoy minimalistic shoes, but this isn't up to Keen par with their usual foam footbed at all. There's nothing but foot, rubber, ground and I can feel the heel rubber grips, and the main ball of my foot hurts after use. My foot isn't that picky, I wouldn't dare even try a long hike in these. They murder me on cement, I've been wearing them a short sidewalk hike to work. Old Keens solved foot pain, the fix and go to shoe after a long nursing day or to work in. These are not those Keens. These are cool looking non functional shoes. They're going back. I'm not even attempting a hike. I'm extremely dis appointed, the Targhee's set you off the ground so far I was hoping these looked more low profile and negative heel like. They are...without an insole, I'm not paying this much for a shoe that I put the insole into. Thanks, Walmart could do that. I ordered 8.5, my usual Keen size, these are low on the top and narrow like B or more narrow, I'd possibly even go up to a 9 if I kept. I have no need for much arch support, but there is none at all. These are for low profile foot, narrow.

Got these for walking shoes. I have plantar fasciitis, so I need a stiff shoe with good arch support. I didn't feel like the support in these was quite enough, so I removed the lining and put in my own support. I find that Keen sandals have perfect support for me, but their other shoes don't have the same support as the sandals. It does seem to be very good support, it's just not enough from my situation and I usually switch out the lining in the lace up type of shoes that I have from Keen. I love the stiffness of the soles of Keens and the wide toe box. My foot is the comfiest with a stiff sole and good arch support. These are true to size for me.

I am so glad to have the other reviews listed here. I wear a size 6. I have high arches, wide feet and narrow heels. I ordered a size 6.5 based on reviews. In a regular width, because they do not come in wide. My verdict is still out on whether they will be wide enough for me. The arch support is great. The fit is good, except that I am a size 6, and they are a 6.5. The styling and quality are great. And of course ZAPPOS rocks!

I just got my Keen sneakers/hikers and I absolutely love them! I ordered the gray, blue, and yellow and they look so bright and sporty. They are very comfortable but I wear a 9.0 and I have to return these for a 9.5. They just run a little small, especially if you want to wear some warm socks with them, order a half size bigger. I can tell these are going to last a long time and not show any dirt due to the colors and materials. So happy!

Getting a small rating due to defect. Felt really good on my feet. Love Keen shoes. However, they're going back. There was a bad seaming on the right side of the left tongue of the shoe that was causing pressure and I've only tried on the pair for a few minutes. It was going to be a problem.

These are way cuter than most hiking shoes and I've worn them for about 80 miles of hikes so far. I replaced the insole with green superfeet and now they're pretty comfy when dry but they are not waterproof. Keens don't usually fit me but these are narrower than other ones I've tried.

I usually wear a size 7. After reading all the reviews, I settled a 7.5 and they're a great fit. Plenty of toe room. Thank you, Zappos!

I love these shoes! Great for when I need to walk the dog in the rain. 100% waterproof. Just one thing...do not walk on the beach or expose to salt water. The waterproof coating will wear off. Had to order another pair.

Amazing shoes - even in the downpours in Scotland - my feet stayed dry and happy - they dried quickly. Worked well - very comfy and cute. Worth every penny - and I put many many many miles on my feet.

I bought these shoes from Eddie Bauer, without reviews. I should have known better than to trust the manufacturer to fit true to size, though I had no reason to mistrust Keen before; now I am forewarned. I spent a torturous weekend in Portland with the constrictive tennies as my only shoes. OUCH! Fortunately I had a friend who admired them and was the right size to bequeath to so I took the plunge and ordered them from Zappos in a half size up from my normal 10. Expensive lesson ! Future shoppers be warned-these shoes fit a half size smaller than normal Always, always read the reviews and thanks to all who bothered to review before me. I wish I'd found you at the beginning of this process.

These shoes run small. I wear a 10 and have always bought Keens in a 10. In this shoe, I wear an 11. I love the colors and the style. They are comfortable.

I usually wear a 10, so I ordered a 10 and a 10 1/2. I kept the 10 1/2, because I wanted to wear these shoes with wool socks. They are supportive and keep my feet warm and dry. Love Zappos service and return policy!

LOVE this hiking shoe, although I have yet to take it hiking. I bought it to go hiking, but thanks to the Mid-Atlantic crazy weather, I haven't yet gotten to use them for their intended purpose! However, I have been wearing them to commute (I have a half-mile walk on either end of my train commute) and they are SUPER comfy, if not a little wide, but being Keens, they're easy enough to tighten down. The heels slips a smidge if I don't tie them tight enough, but aside from that, they're awesome.

These shoes accommodated my wide forefoot easily, yet they don't look too wide. If you have wide feet at the toe box, I'd recommend giving them a shot! I love that they're waterproof, too.

I haven't been wearing Keens for a while because the sizing was unpredictable but they're back to normal now and offering great shoes. I normally wear a 5.5 but always get a 6 in Keens. These are a fun color and great fitting.

These are the best looking Keen shoes I've ever bought! They are bright, colorful, and athletic looking. They are true to size, definitely not too wide or clunky in any way. They are so comfortable and will go great with my jeans and different colored blouses that I wear each day. I love Keen for their round toe area as I don't like shoes that go narrow at the toes. These will be great not just for every day running around, but also for long walks or hikes. I can't stop looking at them! I love to have a pop of color with anything I wear. They are head turners and everyone around me has been giving me compliments. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these if you're unsure.

Great casual shoe. These are not supportive enough for hiking uneven terrain but good everyday wear. Love the color. Fit was right on.

I have worn Keen shoes for years because I love and need the wide toe box. These are very comfortable except the toe box narrows in too quickly and my toes hit the top of the shoe. I love how the shoe hugs my heel and I had no slippage there. I am going to order 1/2 size up (whole size from "regular" shoes) and see how they fit. Keep the wide toe box Keen!

For the price, I'd have hoped they'd be super comfy right out of the box but it took a few days to break them in. Not as much arch support as I remember from other Keen shoes.

I find these shoes are comfortable and I can put my custom orthotics in them. They are very light weight. I have worn them all day long and find they provide good support for an ankle that I had surgery on.

Ever since Teva stopped making non-leather waterproof hiking shoes, I have been on a quest. These Keens are the closest that I have found so far. The sole is good and sturdy, and the insole is cushy. You will mot feel those rocks or tree roots on the trail. The fabric is waterproof in rain and a couple of inches of snow. They are perfect for walking dogs! I always find the sizing of Keens a little off, though. I normally wear an 8½ or 9 in most other shoes. But in the Keens, the 9½ feels too big, the 9 feels too short. So I got one of each. one for thick socks, one for thin or no socks. Of the color choices, the brown is the best. The green is a little too bright for my taste. My husband said the green ones made my feet look big!

This shoe is lightweight, sleek, and looked nicer on my feet than most other Keen shoes do. It felt like it would be comfortable for extended wear if you do not require a lot of arch support. I do require good arch support, so I had to return my pair.

I had to buy $50 insoles to put in these shoes...I still feel like they are too narrow at the toe. I should have returned them but wore them on a hike hoping that they break in and stretch out. They do look cool and I had compliments on them.

I picked these out because they looked a bit sleeker than the average hiking shoes. I wanted waterproof shoes to walk on the trails and streets in the Pacific Northwest winter. The colors were nice, too. I was too timid to get the coral. I selected the slate/blue and it was very pretty in person. As a regular Keen wearer, these on are quite narrow in the toe box. More like my Keen Baby Bern Boots than my Presidos or Coronado sneakers. And although they felt supportive to me, they felt less comfortable than my shoe styles Keens like the Presido that fit like a glove as they say. What I did not like is that they are so narrow visually at the toe and vamp when I went to tie them, they seemed wider across the tie area, making my foot look fat or like it was bulging out at the top. I do have wider feet (why I like Keens) but none of my other Keens make my feet look so funny. In the end, I am sending them back because I think that I will not be able to walk long distances (I have a neuroma that acts up in narrower shoes) and I did not like how the looked across the top of my foot (in the mirror and from above).
