Hiked Mt Kilimanjaro (rain forest, moreland, dust/dirt, and through scree and boulders) in these shoes without blisters or wet feet! I have a wide foot and these were perfect! I bought as whole size bigger to accommodate for liners and med-thick hiking socks (bought 8.5, normally a 7.5 in running shoes). I tried on over 20 pairs of shoes to find the perfect fit. Here's my opinion: Merrell's too narrow, Anhu worked well, but Keens were better. I liked North Face in the low top, but the high tops pinched my toes so I needed a wider toe box. Patagonia in the low tops were great, but the high tops pinched again. Salomon's rubbed my ankles weird, and Vasque were too tight in the toe box. I hope this helps others who need waterproof hiking shoes with a wide toe box!

I tried on many hiking boots -- and it was down to a North Face pair and this one. I chose this one because it's a little lower on the ankle. It's waterproof, incredibly comfy, great color, etc.

Great for my two week backpacking trip! First boots in a while that haven't given me blisters. I have narrow feet and these worked wonderfully for me. They look really great on your feet, too.

These shoes are comfortable and seem very sturdy for their slim design. Before these I had bulky leather hiking boots which were heavy and not particularly attractive, so these are a nice upgrade. The colors look great and it feels more like wearing tennis shoes than boots while still holding up well on hikes.

Wore these right out of the box and into a 4 inch spring snowstorm in Minneapolis. Stayed nice and dry, good traction. Never needed to break in - looking forward to trying them this summer hiking.

Bought these for my vacation to Ireland in March. Honestly the most comfortable shoe I own (and I have plenty! ). I like the slimmer look to these compared to Merrell where the toe is much rounder. Also love the blue/gray colors. Something different than black or brown. Good job Keen and thank you Zappos for making shopping online so easy.

Typical Keen boot...comfortable, well made and great looking. Also typical...runs small. Order a half size larger for wearing with a light to medium weight sock. Go a full size larger for a heavy weight sock. These boots seem to be a little more narrow than my other Keens. They also seem to have a flat feel, but I have high arches. It's a very flexible, lightweight boot that would probably make it most of the year with the exception of major heat. I haven't worn mine much as we have been having serious snow and I prefer my heavier winter Keens. I'm thinking these boots will be a boot I use for day hikes when the snow is very minimal to gone.

Based on other Keen reviews, I ordered a size 10 and I normally wear 9 or 9.5. The toe area is wide and the boot is comfortable and lightweight. The sole isn't as stiff as some hiking shoes but is firm enough for support on rocky trails. Navy Blue isn't my favorite color for a hiking shoe, but the comfort makes up for the color.

Very comfortable shoe for hiking - lightweight with good treads. However, I purchased this boot specifically because I need a vegan, waterproof, hiking boot. I wore these on a few hikes, and when it finally got to be snowy around here, I couldn't wait to use them. Within minutes, I could tell that my socks were getting wet. I expect more from a hiking boot that's advertised to be waterproof, otherwise I would have gotten a cheap pair elsewhere. I'm very unhappy about this shopping experience because I can't return these boots since I've worn them. If you live in a dry climate, these are great, but if you are like me and want them for mud, slush, and light snow - look elsewhere.

I really like these shoes/boots. Even my foot doctor said it was a good choice as they are wider than usual. My orthotics fit in them. Need to buy a little bigger than you usually wear.

These are my first pair of hiking boots and they're fantastic. It's very difficult to find hiking boots that are stylish. While they have a trendy color scheme (I got the magnet/emerald combo), they're still a bit reminiscent of a bulky-looking hiking boot from the front view. I had hoped they would look a bit more like high top sneakers, but this boot has a generous toe box, which makes them bulky-looking from the front view. However, they are good for people with wide feet like myself. I got a half size up from what I normally wear so I can wear thick socks (such as snowboarding socks that have thick padding). I wore these to go hiking during cold weather (20F) and warm weather (65F) and my feet were completely comfortable and dry in both climates. I was able to walk pretty far without being worn out from heavy shoes - these are pretty lightweight. I will admit I accidentally splashed some water into the ankle opening when I crossed a small stream, but that was obviously my fault. The boots themselves are waterproof. I would caution walking on slippery wet rocks as I did slide a bit. These shoes are also good for walking your dog during the winter and you don't want to put on heavy winter boots.

I purchased a 1/2 size larger than I would normally wear, they fit perfectly with wool socks, which I wear while hiking. They are roomy on the toes, maybe a tad too roomy, but overall they are great. Wore them on three hikes so far, the longest being 10 hours to 5k feet. Feet were confortable the entire time.

These boots are wonderful! Just hiked 4 miles of rocky, rutted terrain in them with no break in needed. I've been hiking in Oboz which I still love for hiking in snow & mud, but I needed something lighter with a more flexible sole for summer/fall. Plus the laces stay tied without double knotting!

I wore these boots during an 8 day backpacking trip through Denali National Park. We hiked through glaciers, tundra, rivers, rock beds, sand, mud, and dense forests. These boots held up wonderfully. They are lightweight but durable.

They are my favorite go to shoe for playing! Comfy from the start. I find I'm wearing them instead of my snow boots. Love them.

I have the Keen Marshall Low WP's and was impressed with how well they worked in the snow and cold so far this winter. I had been looking for something with more ankle support to wear during field work this summer and to get me through the rest of winter...this was definitely a great choice, I'm very happy with them! The hardest part for me was finding a color combo that I really liked. The blue and grey was better out of the box than I expected.

After much, much 'research' I decided to get Keen Marshall Mid WP, and have not regretted it for a moment. The shoe is strong, sturdy, WP, and requires no break in. I have been on a few moderate hikes (16-21 miles) since getting them and these are awesome! The best hiking shoes ever. Though I like Keen, some of their sandals feel wider than what it is marked, but these shoes have true sizing. I wish they came in more colors thought. :) PS: As always, Zappos service was fantastic too.

I am a mail carrier that needs comfortable, breathable, and sturdy shoes that can be walked in all day long throughout the week. I was on the lookout for a new pair of summer boots that would keep my feet aired out while I work. These are very comfortable and built Keen tough but I will say I was disappointed with the description given. It said they were breathable but by the end of the day, my feet are very sweaty and unpleasant...sorry for TMI but I feel like I need new boots. Even though these are still very good boots, I wouldn't recommend them for warm weather.

This one isn't going to work for me. Thank you Zappos and your amazing return policies so I can get the right boot for my hiking trip. I wear a 7.5 street shoe, and ordered an 8 to accommodate socks. Would need an 8.5 if I were inclined to keep it, but I'm afraid the ankle support might rub. Overall width was more true than others and I trust Keens for all day comfort, so will plod forward and order another style. Also not a fan of the color combo, but for the right fitting shoe I would wear any color combo. Sadly, this one is going back.

I was looking for a light-weight hiker, preferably vegan, that I could use both for hiking in Colorado and walking around in the snow in New York City. I haven't been able to try the hiking yet but these boots have been great in Brooklyn's winter weather. Although not 100% watertight they do well in snow while still being good for a lot of walking, unlike big clunky snow boots. I think an application of silicon spray will make them even more watertight. They were comfortable right out of the box and I love the look of the gray and blue. I ordered a half size up in order to fit my orthotic in them and that has worked perfectly. My only regret is that they don't have a bit more cushioning. It seems that athletic shoes have much thinner soles these days than they used to.

Runs a little small per Keen's usual sizing. If larger, seemed like a really good comfy lightweight boot. Returning for another boot that fit better.

This shoe seems very comfortable, nicely styled to make it look as cute as possible for a hiking shoe. Note: the info on the website says it is all man made, but it does have some leather in it. Bummer for us vegans.

I bought these to replace my leather water-proof Danner boots that have kept my feet warm during the last 6 or so winters on the cube farm. I also wore my Danner's hiking, and while I think these boots will be fine for the relatively undemanding task of keeping my feet warm at work, I would not wear them for a long hike over rough terrain. They feel more like a sneaker; the soles are thin, and the ankle support is lacking. They are comfortable enough, although the right shoe is very nearly too short. Stylistically, they looked better in the photos than they do in the flesh, but they're not ugly enough to make me send them back.

Like other Keens, these are wide and roomy. Perfect for me. I was pleasantly surprised at how lightweight these are. They are perfect for summer hiking, and I will be surprised if they keep my feet warm enough in winter (I live in Vermont). Maybe for early or late snow. Very flexible shoe.

I recommend a half-size up. Boots were very comfortable (Keens usually are) but I returned because I didn't love the style-toe was too rounded for me.
