Truly outstanding shoes. Got them for a film shoot abroad that involved miles of walking every day while carrying gear. Very conformable, durable and when the rain came were in fact waterproof.

Love these shoes. They look good and feel good. I did have to send back my 10.5s to get a size 10, as the 10.5s were way too big for me. I wear them all day and my feet are very comfortable and warm.

These came up in a search for motion control shoes, which I need to control flex of the sole, which otherwise stresses my bunions. I also need motion control for lateral movement because I have flat feet and wear orthotics. The main downside of these stylish shoes for motion control is the very bendable sole, which may be just what other people want for comfort.

Your service is great and costs nothing. Sure beats firing up the beemer and the product is perfect for the transitional weather we always face we always face in Buffalo.

Very frustrated with trying to find proper size. This is the third try. Width is good but length is way too long. Not sure these boots are properly sized. I will now try to order a third pair a half size smaller but wide in width.

I'm a longtime Zappos customer and have recently turned my husband on to the big Z. Well, my husband really wanted to like these but they were way too big. Having read the reviews, he ordered down to a 9.5, from his usual 10. And I could tell these were still about a size too big. He wiggled his toes and it looked like at least an inch between the end of the shoes and his toes. We measured them to a pair of Rockport 10s and they indeed were at least an inch longer from the outside, sole to sole. Too bad. These seem like a well made, nice looking shoe/boot and were his favorite (we'd ordered a total of five pairs, different styles and brands). He needed a waterproof boot in a hurry so he won't be repurchasing these soon. But perhaps another time. I'm still giving them 5 stars because they seem really nice - just need to get their size issues in order. Of course, your mileage may vary if you've actually worn these a while. But for the few minutes on our carpet he thought they were very nice indeed.

Very stylish, especially for a waterproof chukka. Lightweight and comfortable. Definitely run large. Order a half size smaller.

Stop right now and order this boot if you're looking for a nice mix of aesthetics and practicality. Chukka style, grippy soles, and waterproof. Timberland hire a home run with this boot and Zappos is always quick to deliver the goods. Order a half size down for the best fit.

Ordered a size 9.5 on Monday of thanksgiving week. Shoes arrived Wednesday night. Sadly were too large so used the Zappos website to generate return and exchange for smaller size...and even with thanksgiving being on Thursday new shoes arrived on Friday! As always great customer service! My son loves the shoes... Perfect for trekking around campus in winter. Thanks Zappos!

I was shopping for a stylish waterproof shoe that could go casual or dress. This shoe fit the bill and so far it has kept the rain out. I am still waiting for a vicious downpour to really test these babies. The Chukka style is cool, the leather is supple and comfortable. This is an excellent shoe for the price. Be careful on size because the shoe is a bit pointy at the toes. I wear a 9 1/2 and there is a little extra room up front. This sizing question does not detract from my love for this versatile shoe.

These chukka boots will be great for an upcoming trip to NYC. They are waterproof, the leather is quite soft and my boyfriend commented several times that they are very comfortable, although he did need a couple days to break them in. Even with a thicker sock, they are not heavy/bulky. As always, excellent customer service from Zappos.

I like them as a compromise between waterproof/winter boots and work-appropriate shoes. However, even though I ordered half a size smaller after reading some comments, they were still too large. I'm exchanging them for another half-size smaller. Also, they're a little thin. I haven't had the chance to try them out in the rain yet, but I'm hoping this doesn't impact the waterproof factor or how warm they keep my feet.

Definitely runs a little big, but heavier socks fix that. No break in, great for the city on wintry rainy days. Excellent value at discounted price.

Definitely a half-size bigger, i.e., I read the other reviews, got a half size smaller than usual, and the fit is good.
Good enough arch support that I don't think I'll be putting my usual SuperFeet off-the-shelf orthotics in these.
The look is accurate, and very good.
I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of 2 things, 1 more important than the other:
1) the top of the outer part presses on my ankle, making walking more than a couple miles uncomfortable and likely to rub the skin off (more important);
2) don't care for the tab on the back, which tends to catch pants/jeans, bunching them up a bit (less important; this can easily be cut off and not otherwise impact the shoe).

I used these every day for the better part of a year before they got really badly worn out, and I still use them. I love these, even if I think they wore out a little quick. I think there are better looking Chukka boots from Timberland, and yet I think the construction on these was maybe a little better as I've used these more and for longer, they outlasted the slightly more "formal" looking pair I'm referring to. I actually took the laces off and just slip these on if I don't have to go far to go grab groceries or something. I would recommend these for everyday personal use, maybe for work depending on how dressy you need to be. I recommended these to a friend for a decent pair of boots that would work on his motorcycle but also for work. At this point they have been around for roughly 14-15 months and the stitching on the side is torn open a little, the metal bar in the base of the boot broke free, the insole is worn but not destroyed. I like having them around for light casual use, and I've considered buying another pair.

Another fine product from Timberline. I bought these primarily for their waterproof feature. The waterproofing of the leather leaves it with a very flat finish, which ordinarily I wouldn't care for, but given their purpose, the finish was fine. It's not that it's particularly unattractive, but if you look close the flat finish looks a bit odd. The shoes were comfortable out of the box and seem to be of the usual Timberland good quality. The lugged sole is decent.

Great boot. Waterproof and warm enough for cold winter days. Stylish enough to pair with nicer outfits. My one complaint is about size - the boot was quite a bit bigger than I expected. I've been wearing Timberland boots for years, so I was particularly surprised that this one didn't fit right.

I wanted something with a better sole than the Desert Boot, and I wanted it to be waterproof. I landed on these boots. It's been difficult to get the size right. I tried on an 11.5 in the Desert Boot in store, which fit great, so I ordered an 11.5D in these. For reference I normally wear a 13. I had to exchange them for the wide version because the compression in the forefoot was too much, and now that it's fine, I don't like the way it fits (i.e. locks) my heel...in that it doesn't. It could just be the last that Timberland builds their shoes around, or I just settled without trying another size. I think that a pair of tongue pads may help, because otherwise the boots are great and keep my feet warm in the winter weather.

My second Earthkeepers Chukka. I am probably going to buy one more pair in different color. They fit about half a size smaller, so order a couple of them in different sizes and return the ones that don't fit.

Overall, I really love these boots. They are very comfortable, and look great! I will echo a couple of the other reviewers and say they run a bit large, but it wasn't large enough for me to return and exchange for the next smaller size. Overall, I would definitely recommend these boots.

The shoe took a fairly long time to break in the heel - even after a week it was giving me blisters in the heel. The heel of the shoe is also disproportionately wide compared to the toe box (a strange description, I know). After the break-in period however they are quite comfortable and pretty good for walking around town in - I haven't done much of anything more than that in them, but if that's all you have planned for them they will certainly do the trick.

These boots look great in an "adventure casual" way. They are longer than I expected, with an extra few millimeters in the toe that I'm not sure is really necessary. I found them large; I'm usually an 8.5, but I stuck with the 8's, and the are still just a tad roomy. The waterproof leather is a plus.

If you plan on getting these, get them a size or two smaller. I wear a 9.5 normally and currently have a size 8.5 and it's still too big. Originally got a size 9 after reading previous reviews and they where like clown shoes on me. I feel that 2 complete sizes down would've been perfect. The right shoe fits me fine but the left shoe is a little tight, that's probably just my feet though. They look great and are completely waterproof, I've stepped in some deep puddles and they're fine. I go to Portland State University so I do a lot of walking in these and they are absolutely perfect if you live in the city. Better for colder days, they are padded on the inside to keep your feet warm, would never wear these on a day hotter than 75F. Highly recommend them, but please spare yourself the hassle and get at least a size 1.5 smaller than what you wear. They 100% come larger.

Just received these boots in the mail and I was impressed. They are exactly what is pictured and actually very comfortable. I only returned them to get a half size smaller as these are a bit larger than actual size. Looking forward to getting the smaller pair soon!

I wish there was one more pair of eyelets. They fit securely enough but due to there being only two lace eyelets, adjusting the fit is not really possible.
