If you have a large calf or ankle these are definitely worth a try. I have 18" calves at the widest part and these boots made my legs look proportional and normal - because they are SO large in the calf. The length is true to size and the heel is wide. I wear a 12B. My foot lifted up out of the boot with every step until I put on a huge thick hiking sock. That stopped the lift, but was too tight across the ball of my foot. I'm sure I'll be able to fix that with better socks. Other than that, these are very comfortable and look stylish enough to suit my bridal party dress at my child's wedding.

This shoe is amazing. I needed a pair of black boots that look great and fit well, to say the least. I got it. They do not come up to my calves but they fit and feel great!

Loved the boots!! I have such a hard time finding nice, true wide calf boots. Many boots say wide calf, but they do not fit. They felt a bit narrow in the bottom part of the boot hence the 4 stars for comfort, but will likely break in over time. They are nice quality and style. I was surprised to see they're lined with a leopard print!

Really like these. They have a nice wide calf and are very soft and not stiff like some boots. Comfortable right out of the box. Love the wide calf. I have a hard time with boots being too tight on my calf, these are perfect. Room enough for jeans to be tucked in if desired. Very pleased with purchase.

YES!! I have been trying to find boots for several YEARS that would fit my calves. THESE ARE IT! They go on easily and still have room for my jeans. Happy girl!

SUPER cute, way too wide of a calf.

I love these boots. They are beautiful. They felt super tight around my foot, and I ended up returning them. Other than the tightness, they were super comfortable, light weight and overall a great boot that it made me really sad to return.

Beautiful - but wide shaft! These are very beautifully embroidered boots and are very comfortable. Unfortunately, they feature a wide shaft which I did not realize until after I purchased them. Since I wanted to wear them with skirts/shorts, they were just too loose in the calf to look right for me. If you have a slightly larger calf, these are perfect. I'm disappointed that I have to keep looking for a simple (comfortable!) black boot.

I have wide feet and a high arch...was pleasantly surprised that these fit so well! The calf is quite large, which I didn't need, but it will make tucking in jeans pretty easy.

These boots are just what I was looking for - cute AND fit larger calves! I ordered a size up based on reviews, but found that they ran more true to size. I am exchanging it for my normal size, and can't wait to get them (thank you Zappos for always having amazing customer service)! Athletic calf ladies, these are going to be your best friend! Plenty of room for jeans and not too big to wear without anything tucked in them.The heel height is just right - low enough to be comfortable, and they hit me at a flattering spot on my leg (I am 5'9").

The boots were amazing! They fit perfectly. However, I wore them out and noticed that the right boot had a defective arch. It was very painful to walk on. I am ordering a second pair and returning the defective pair in hopes that they will be okay!

I bought these for my lady for her birthday and she looks aaaaaamazing in them. She's got these athletic legs that drive me wild, but have made finding long boots like this difficult. These ones fit her with plenty of room to spare. She was surprised that they were so comfortable as well. I am very excited to take her out in these boots. Thanks, Zappos!

These boots are for large calves! Super cute and comfortable.

These boots fit my wide feet and big calves. Actually the top is very wide and looks puffy. It may look good on taller person. It is return, since i really liked other boots.

Order 1/2 to one size larger than you usually wear.

I generally wear a 7.5 so I purchased an 8 based on reviews. Way too big! Even with big socks. Too bad, it looks nice, and has a nice toe, etc. but I need to return and unfortunately neither a 7 or 7.5 is available.

Great boot but not for me. Too wide on the calf.

Boots were too narrow in the toe. Was hoping I could wear the 'snip' toe instead of the square toe. But heel rode up and down like it was too big on the other end. If they were reversed, I may be wearing them! Beautiful boot, very ample ankle/calf area, for those without much definition. Disappointed they didn't fit, but at a 12M, it's difficult to find womens anything.

I loved the style of these, and yes, they do accommodate larger calves, but they were very uncomfortable on the outside of my big toe, so I need to return them. Might try a larger size, but not sure if that will help.

I loved the boots, however, the size ran small. I bought a size larger to wear thicker socks with and cannot due to running smaller. They were tight across the top of the foot. I oiled them and they are wonderful. Very pleased with my experience.

I ordered the wider width, but the boot was very very sloppy and my heel was lifting. The width at the ball of the foot was still very narrow. I think that they're using the same last for a medium width shoe and they're making the calf bigger. Just a sloppy fit albeit very pretty.

This is a pretty boot, but the leather is stiff & hard as nails. The toe box narrows abruptly, making it much too tight. I tried both a 6.5 and a 7; neither was wide enough and the leather is just stiff. Sadly, back they go.

Compared to Ariat boots, this boot does not compare in terms of style and quality. It also felt very sloppy. Might work if you have an extremely high instep. I returned them
