These are awesome looking and comfortable boots. They do stretch after time so get a half size smaller. The only complaint is that the eyelets do not stay in place. The style of eyelet does not grab the leather. They need to change the design of the eyelets. Frye was nice enough to replace these boots once but now the second pair is doing the same thing. These boots should last for years. They need to fix this problem.

I had owned a pair of the Frye Harness boots for many years and loved them. After years of wearing them out (even though they still hold up to this day), I wanted to go with a slimmer, more low profile boot that allowed a little more action. These Tyler Lace Ups are the perfect solution for an everyday boot. Here's a list of Pros/Cons: -Pros- These have a tailored/slim fit to them. My feet fit more snug in these boots; other boots I've tried required an additional thick insole to keep my feet from swimming around (needing insoles not a bad thing, it's just one less thing to worry about). Low profile style. I have the black (non-stone washed) pair, and they are completely without any additional flare. It's a nice classic look, with a hint of style from their tailored fit. High action. Overall they're pretty flexible and light, and they don't feel like you're wearing two bricks on your feet. They also feel sturdy at the same time; like a cross between dress boots and work boots. Pre-broken-in. This may be a Con for others, but I like the fact that you can wear these right away without worrying about blisters. -Cons- Tongue weirdness. The boots tongues cause some discomfort, but this is usually relieved over time as the boot will most likely conform to the shape of the foot. Not so easy to take on and off. These require a bit of struggle and loosening to get on and off. But they're tailored boots, so it comes with the territory. -Conclusion- I'm really happy with these boots. If you're looking for a casual boot that goes well with jeans or any casual slacks that have a straight or tapered leg, you should definitely check these out. Plus, they're Frye boots, and they will most likely last you a good deal of time! Notes: Try a half-size down from your normal shoe size. Frye recommends doing this and they're completely right. I'm 10.5 with most other shoes, went with a 10, and they fit perfectly.

I'm very happy with my Tyler boots after owning them for about a month. I was initially cautious about sizing after reading reports that some Frye boots run large, but I ended up getting my regular size after trying a half-size smaller pair, primarily for adequate width. They felt snug and a little tight, but after only a few hours of wear conformed to my feet, and now I would describe their fit as glove-like. The leather is soft, especially in the ankle. The heel gives a lot of side-to-side support, so I don't feel a need for an after-market insole for arch support, which is minimal. They are lined with soft leather, it seems that is the bonus for being made in Mexico over the U.S. for the price. The leather laces, in combination with the ankle height, are definitely not built for speed, but do their job while looking good. The slightly extended toe is a nice styling touch while not looking extreme. I would caution those with wide feet that this model may be slightly narrow. I consider my feet to be medium+ width and they were initially snug. But I love 'em!

I love everything about these boots! They arrived and fit immediately, skipping the breaking in phase entirely. I have had them for 4 years and wear them almost every day and the leather looks better the longer I have them. Only now do I need to have them resoled. Exceptional in every way! I tried other brands but those wear down faster so my next buy will be these boots again. True to size, snug to the foot, top notch!

These are nice looking shoes. I am sorry that heel fell off in two months. They feel ok but they are really not all day work shoes. These shoes cannot take a hard day without falling apart. Wear them gently or they will turn to junk. Frye does not want to know you after two years. They last six months for the price they are junk. But they look cool. They feel ok.

Who knows what size a shoe is these days? I know my foot is a "B" width and 95% of men's shoes available are a "D" width as these shoes are. Thankfully they "run narrow" and have a slightly "extended" toe which means my 11B foot fit very nicely in these 10 1/2 D shoes. Quality is paramount with these shoes and although I haven't had them long enough to rate their durability I fully expect them to last as long as I care to wear them.

I wasn't sure about the size to order after reading the reviews. I have a normal D width and usually wear a 10.5 but sometimes have to buy an 11 size shoe if I'm going to be walking a lot since my feet are almost in between 10.5-11. I received the boots almost expecting a slightly small fit but to my surprise I have plenty of toe room, not too tight, not too loose. Best fitting boots I own now and totally pleased with quality and fit!

These boots rock! Right out of the box they look like your favorite old pair of boots! Modern rocking boot with a throwback vintage look. The boots are a bit narrow, so I would order up a half size, but the good news is that they break in very easily and I was able to stretch the width out using a shoe tree. The boots are only leather lined on the lower portion of the shoe, so the uppers are very soft and flexible (most Frye boots are fully lined). The boots also have leather soles, but have a rubber inset sole and heel, so they should almost never have to be resoled. I particularly like the leather laces, as they add a nice vintage look and feel. I highly recommend these boots!

These are really great boots. The distressed leather is cool and of nice quality. The boot fits a little tight at first but it does break in quickly and custom molds around your foot they was good leather should. Love these.

I have worn the Tyler boots for the last five years. They are high quality, look fantastic, and garner a ton of attention. Frye keep making these. Those of us in the know will keep buying them.

This is my third pair of Frye boots and each one I've worn until I can't wear them any more. These are every day boots that hold up well, are incredibly comfortable, and are sophisticated enough to wear to work, a hole in the wall bar or a posh dinner in New York. Pick your spot and put them on.

There are very few moments in my life I can say I was truly happy. One day ago the moment I received a Tyler lace up is one of them. This is the best boot the world had made so far!

So far I love them. My boots are still breaking in, but I echo several reviewers that mentioned how quickly these broke in versus other boots. I came to them from a pair of Red Wing Heritage Blacksmiths that felt like they took weeks to break in, and never quite felt right. My previous Frye boots also took a long while to break in. These Frye Tyler boots are still pretty snug and I can't yet get my orthotic insoles in, but they started feeling comfortable in the left boot within hours, and the right took a few days. I'm very happy with them. People mentioned sizing up or down or whatever — maybe I lucked out, maybe it's just natural variations in manufacturing, but these feel like they're going to be just right at my regular size.

I followed people’s feedback and ordered a half size down. Impossible to wear. Way too narrow. I returned them and ordered my regular size, size 9 and they fit perfectly.

We wanted these boots to work, but they were a little too narrow for my boyfriend’s feet. He does have pretty wide feet though. What we did t love about these boots is that they are a little too dressy for what he wanted. With jeans on they look like dress shoes, not every day boots. Super high quality and nice boot though. Main issue for us was style.

At first wear, the shoes were very snug and took a little getting used too. After a few wears they fit like a glove. As someone who has exceptionally flat feet, these boots held my orthotics well. The boots did take a week or so to wear in but now that they fit they are one of my favorite pairs of shoes.

Toe box was too small and overall they were too narrow and too long. Also the stitching on the sole was coming apart which seems like a bad sign for brand new shoe.

I bought this shoe (black stone washed) and I was so excited about it. The shoe was look awesome but I wear them it turns out they are not comfortable and and they run large and narrow. Any way I returned them. I think Frye is not a good choice for us with the wide feet.

I love these boots. As a tall woman, I found the style sleek enough (they do not look like work boots) and the width perfect across the toes. No pinching. They are true to size and I have room for a nice mid weight boot sock. I took them straight from the box on a trip to New Orleans and walked comfortably for hours. They are a bit cumbersome to put on and take off as there is no side zip but I think I prefer the way the soft leather hugs my ankle and leg. Willing to take some time to undo the laces!

Greatest boots I ever had. Comfort and durability. I changed the soles multiple times. Other than that they’re pretty awesome.

The Tyler Lace Up is the boot I've always dreamed of, but never thought I'd actually get to own. They came out of the box looking perfectly aged with just enough vintage styling, but were also instantly the most comfortable boot I've ever worn. I can't recommend them highly enough. You will NOT be disappointed! Absolutely epic. Way to go Frye!
