I have placed several orders for boots totaling many hundreds of dollars in an effort to find "my boots." The pair that I could wear every single day with a variety of jeans and tops essentially until it thaws out in the Spring. These are my boots. I am plus size, petite and have large calves. I cannot wear any of the tall boots out there because they will not zip up. And I did not want "booties," I wanted boots. And I am short enough already, I really did not want boots with gigantic shaft openings that forced me to tuck in my jeans. It was imperative that my narrow pants legs fit over them. So, I wanted mid-shaft boots, with comfortable soles, relatively wide footbed, brown color, leather, and kick-butt style. I fell in love with the Phillip Studded Harness boots from Frye but they were too narrow in the toes and when I sent them back I literally sang them a goodbye song. So I cried and cried and kept searching. And then I found these. "Teva!?!? When did Teva make cool looking boots?" I decided to give them a whirl and added these to my last batch. Victory at long last! And now I have worn them every single day. They are not going to be for everybody as the leather scuffs up instantly. I love this look but it is going to drive some people insane. The solution of course is to treat them with your own waterproofing which will darken the color but remedy the easy scuffing. I do not plan to touch mine until they need it. I love them. The leather is soft. The opening at the top was a tad tight the first few days but with the suede detailing and the soft leather they have loosened right up and do not bother me at all. The heel is perfect and they ride pretty flat for all day comfort. They do not feel like "dress boots." My jeans fit over them, they look great with everything, I could not be happier. Except for this price the mush insole is not that supportive. They could really use a fancier sole for the price and I will probably be using an insert. But overall, they are fantastic.

I absolutely love these boots! I have worn them since they arrived the next day after ordering them! (Still amazed @ how Zappos does it!) I have trouble with my back and I can wear these boots all day long without my back or heels hurting! Well worth the investment!

I love these boots. Low heel comfort with a great style. Thin enough for regular pants to go over and look great with skinny jeans rolled up.

These boots have I handled winter weather conditions so far and I'm optimistic they will do well in rain weather as well. After a long day, my feet will be tired no matter what, but these shoes have never added to that discomfort! My toes require a wider toe box so I can't wear narrow shoes and these are one of the few pairs of boot that didn't need to be broken-in to fit my weird shaped foot (#bunionprobs). They have a nice semi-cushioned sole that I haven't seen in other boots. I'd recommend them to anyone -- they're cute in a more rustic way. My jeans can fit in them or a boot cut fits on the outside so they're versatile in that respect as well.

Been looking for the right boot for quite a while. I live in Albuquerque and the weather is turning colder and I need something to keep me dry and warm, especially on my daily walks. Right out of the box these boots were comfortable. I ordered my normal size (10), somewhat dubious that they would work with heavier socks. Not only that, I have orthotics so needed a remove able insole, which these have. Imagine my surprise - everything fit! I walked 3 miles today in them and am thrilled. They come up to mid calf, have a good tread and nice wide, one inch heel. With pants, they will go anywhere. Very pleased.

One week out before a trip to Scotland and I still needed something waterproof and comfortable for miles of walking. These boots were perfect and did not let me down...and they look great too!

I got these boots after a few days after Christmas and I am so pleased. They fit my criteria of being really cute and comfortable enough to walk around in for a full day. I usually wear between a 9.5-10 and I am really glad I went with the 10. Then felt a little snug the first time I put them on but now they feel perfect. I agree with some other reviews that they do scuff easily. That doesn't bother me as I like the worn look. So happy I went with these boots (I agonized over choosing a pair of brown boots for weeks!)

All of the design of these boots has been put into the cosmetic appearance and very little into function. Pull out the insole/footbed and you will be shocked at its poor quality. I went out and spent $50 on a high quality insole so I could continue to wear them. They had no cushion for walking on pavement. The insole clerk said the store has piles of discarded Teva and Merrell insoles that people give them when they buy new insoles and discard the original ones. I guess it is how lots of shoes are made these days. Nice boots if you don't walk a lot and have young sturdy feet. This is a lot to pay for boots that need an expensive insole in addition!

I wear orthotics and need a lot of cushioning in the foot bed, so I generally live in athletic shoes. These are roomy enough to slip in an additional gel liner and my 1/2 orthotics, so after a year of searching I've found the boot that works for me. Couldn't be happier and getting lots of compliments!

I have an unhealthy attachment to these boots. I put them through hell, and instead of getting beat up they've developed a gorgeous patina. My only complaint is I do a lot of crouching/kneeling in my job and I've stretched out the suede on the back of the shaft a bit. Nothing terrible, but more on one boot than the other so it just feels a bit off. I'd like it if they'd go all leather. This fall they've got some pretty killer colors coming out and I am definitely going to have to pick up a second pair. I own the tall version in black, as well because I just cannot get enough of this boot. I get tons of compliments on them, they're comfy, easy to wear, waterproof, love em. Zero arch support but I put a Birkenstock blue footbed in pretty much everything so that takes care of that no problem. Buy these boots.

Finally, an attractive, comfortable, sleek women's winter boot with good tread and rubber heels. I had the hardest time finding an attractive boot that was less than $200 and didn't have smooth tread (what's up with that?). This boot is comfortable to walk in, and stands up to the Northeastern storms without looking like a work boot. The zip shaft is comfortably snug and fits well under skinny jeans. The soles are comfy to walk around in all day. Two things: I wish it had was greater arch support, but one can buy inserts for that and, as others have mentioned, it does get a bit scuffed. But it's really cosmetic and not very noticeable unless looking closely at the boot under bright lights (and who would do that?). I'm sure I'll be wearing these boots for many winters!

It took me a long time to find the right boots and these are perfect! Extremely comfortable right out of the box, and really interesting styling. I get compliments every time I wear them. I have a wide, stubby foot and these fit great--most boots are too tight across the toe-knuckles. I usually wear a 7 but got an 8 and they fit snuggly with regular weight socks. They get a worn-in look almost immediately, so if you want something dressier, I'd look elsewhere, but that was exactly what I wanted so I'm very pleased.

These boots are awesome. Very comfortable. I would highly recommend. High toe box and removeable insert make it a perfect boot to put in your orthotic or insole. Comfortable right from the start.

I usually wear 7.5 in regular shoes, 8 in sport shoes. I ordered size 8. Initially the heel was too wide for my narrow heels. A thicker sock fixed this, and there was still room in the toe box for my bunions. With this fix in place, they were very comfortable. The styling is only okay, not super cute, but functional and unobtrusive. Workmanship looked good. I would have kept the boot except for the fact that the opening at the top is very wide, so they look like rain boots. If you wear skinny jeans, they must be tucked in, but I didn't like this look given the short height of the boot. I tried it on also with straight leg pants which fit over the boot, but the top of the boot bulged out in front of my lower shin. It would have been a great boot with a shorter skirt, but like I said, I'm just not into that rain boot look. (If you have larger calves this may not be a problem.) So I am returning.

I just ordered my second pair in Bison. I wore my first pair for three years through rain, snow and as walking boots. The bison color is blah - it does not have the reddish tan that you see in the photos. But I use Meltonian shoe polish in Chamois that gives these boots an amazing color! I wear them with tights and skirts all winter and have gotten so many compliments. The shoe polish is key though to getting these to look good. I have size 5 narrow feet - they do stretch out into a soft leather.

I love this boot. I got it in Bison, and it's just great. I've been searching for something with a sort of Frye boot style, but comfortable and practical and all that jazz. These nailed it! The foot bed is laughable, I feel like they could really have a good thing going for them with this whole "mush infused insole" thing, but this is just thin and flat and not that cushioned. I have pretty flat feet so I threw my Birkenstock arch support in there and I am good to go. It looks fantastic with skinny pants, the bison color looks good with everything, the soles have great traction, I can wear them day after day, seriously these boots are just the bee's knees. I'm considering getting a pair of the tall version in brown I love these so much. The leather takes on scuffs and character fairly easily, but smooths out nicely with a coat of leather conditioner like Lexol or Red Wing's NaturSeal. These boots are meant to look a little tough and rugged, so the imperfect look once you've worn them a bit really just makes them (and you) look that much cooler.

I love these boots. I've already worn them quite a lot and gotten lots of compliments on them. They are comfortable, relaxed in style and feel like I will wear them three seasons. They fit me well and it didn't take any time to break them in. I like the soft leather look and the color bison. I also think I'll wear them more than my high boots as they have the comfort level of a good pair of shoes.

Ah. I so wanted to like these shoes. I'm looking for something that's durable, waterproof and more stylish than my hiking boots, to take to Europe. These looked gorgeous and high quality, but I ended up returning them because of the low toe-box and narrow width across the front of my foot. I'm going to be walking my butt off (in thick winter socks) and need something that gives my feet plenty of room to flex. If you have feet that run on the narrow side, this boot should be a great fit.

These books are really cute but I am so disappointed in the quality of this shoe! This is probably the most expensive shoe I've ever bought but the shoe that has worn out the most quickly. Within a few weeks the part where the heel meets the leather of the shoe there is a large hole in the seam. After a few months of wear, the seam is also splitting in multiple areas on the boots. Additionally, their "waterproof"ness leaves much to be desired (and many wet socks). I expected more from Teva! This is not what I expected for a shoe at this price! Extremely dissatisfied.

I have another pair of Teva boots so ordered these. Also have Teva sandals. Love them both They are comfortable right out of the box. For me they look a bit clunky with skirts but I love them with jeans. You can wear boot jeans over them or tuck in skinny jeans. I have had the last pair for several years and they are holding up well.

I have tried on multiple pairs of boots trying to find a pair that was comfortable enough to wear all day. I finally found them! ( I had tried Keens, born, timberland and Frye previously) These have tread, are comfortable and are great looking. I did darken them up with mink oil, as I had wanted a darker brown. So glad I tried these! I am normally a size 9.5 and I kept the size 10 in these. I also have wide feet and they are great!

I have 4 pairs of Teva de la vina boots--each in slightly different styles. I have found them all to be durable, mostly stylish (especially for waterproof boots that can be worn in all seasons and conditions in harsh climates.) Also, I used to be a ballet dancer and have a variety of foot issues and very very high arches. These were comfortable for me from the first day and remain comfortable 2 years later. However, of all my de la vina boots, these are my least favorites simply because of the shaft height. I am almost 5'3 and about 120 lbs and these hit me at an awkward place that my legs look short and stocky-- I'm pretty short-waisted for my height (e.g. my inseam is about 30 inches). I kept them because they were comfortable and needed them immediately for a course that took place mostly outdoors. I liked that these could easily transition from fieldwork to the city. But, I'd definitely recommend the de la vina ankle length or the de la vina lace-up (that gives the best of both worlds).

So this is my second pair of these shoes (in color bison both times) and I have to say, these are my favorite boots of all time. I wore my last pair until I was literally getting holes in them, and it took almost two years of non-stop wear through all seasons to do so; and I live in Michigan so this includes some rain and snow! I also own these boots in the "tall" style so they fall just below my kneee, and I much prefer this style. They go with leggings, skinny jeans, and boot cut jeans. Just a note, they are slightly taller than a traditional ankle boot, so buy these expecting them to satisfy that requirement.
I also am a biochemist, so I do traditional wet lab work and am on my feet most of the day. These boots are definitely comfortable enough to be on my feet all day, but after about a year or so, I did have to replace the insoles. This may have been sped up by my dog chewing on them though. If you're debating buying these boots, bite the bullet! They are so worth it.

Cute boot, but didn't fit my "squarish" foot. Was a bit narrow. Also, felt about .5 size small.
