These are not quite what I was expecting. The leather feels nice enough, but in the black color it looks like rubber (and smells awful -- probably the waterproofing, and would likely fade with time). The shape of the boot's upper is cute, but it's very wide at the top; the net result is a large gap at the front crease of the boot. (I don't have skinny calves, they're about 15 inches where these boots hit, and they were sticking out about an inch from my shin.) Add in what feels like insulation/padding along the upper, and they end up looking like oversized rainboots. Comfort-wise, they were only okay; not a ton of arch support, and the backs of the ankles rubbed quite a bit (this could have been a fit issue). The outsoles are nice and grippy without being cleats. If you're looking for a classier rain/snow boot, and either have good-sized legs or plan on tucking in some very thick pants, these might work out really well for you. Unfortunately, they're not what I'm after, but thank you Zappos for letting me try them on!

I ordered these and a more dressy pair as rain boots in a mountain environment. I have very large calves, and wanted boots I could wear with jeans or leggings tucked in. These are perfect. Comfy, rugged but cute and fit well over my calves. Great traction on questionable surfaces. Highly recommend! I also bought and recommend the Franco Sarto Perk Wide Shaft boot for a dressier look.

I have flat, wide feet, and these boots fit comfortably immediately. No break-in period. The first day I wore them, I walked the dog and walked 3 airports without any problem. They are a perfect blend of casual boot that can be made to look a little more sophisticated with the right outfit while being incredibly practical for the fall and winter messy weather. I have purposely stepped in puddles to see how they hold up, and they are indeed waterproof and clean easily.

I loved the way these looked when I put them on; they actually exceeded my expectations because I usually don't like the extra straps and detailing. Unfortunately I couldn't keep them because they were very, very stiff in the ankle and I was afraid they would scrape my ankles while walking. They are wide in the calf, which is great for me because I have "athletic" calves and mainly wear winter boots over jeans, which means I need boots with some give at the opening. If you don't like that wider look at the top and/or have skinny calves you may want to pass on these. For someone with skinnier ankles, these might work, as the back of the boot may not chafe as much for you. I liked the look so much I tried to convince myself to keep them, but figured it would be a bad idea to try to wear them through a Chicago winter.

I ordered several similar waterproof boots for a trip to Ireland. This is the pair I liked best and kept. Super cute, good traction, and comfy. I normally wear a 6 1/2 Wide, and I ordered a 7 Medium (they didn't have wide) and it fits just fine. It's a bit snug in the ankle, but I'm noticing that is stretching out a bit as I'm wearing them around the house to try to break them in a bit. The right one MIGHT give me trouble when I'm traipsing around Ireland, as it kind of rubs the back of my right ankle - but I bought some moleskin that I will use if that happens. They were definitely the most comfortable of the several I tried - although, the Patagonia Wintertide High Waterproof was AMAZINGLY comfortable, however much too warm for the 65 degree weather I'll be in over there. I hated sending those back - if you need warm boots, those are ones to consider.

This is the second pair on Teva De Vina boots I have purchased. I loved my first pair so much I had to get a second pair in a different color. These boots are extremely comfortable and good for walking long distances. They are very waterproof as I spent last week wading through deep puddles on my dog walk in these boots. They look great with skirts and jeans and they have become my go to boot. I would recommend them to everyone!

I've been searching for an at least somewhat comfortable, stylish, and waterproof pair of boots for a bit now and was happy to find these! They're slightly shorter than what I expected, but are still very cute and comfy. I was worried they'd be too wide based on other reviews (as I have somewhat narrow calves), but they look great with skinny jeans. I love these!

I love the way these boots look. They seem to fit a little small - my big toe feels really squished. I'm going to return for a 1/2 size bigger. Other that that, they hit in a flattering spot on my calf and aren't too tight in the calf. I struggle finding boots that don't cut off my circulation when I have them over jeans; these feel great. I highly recommend.

I'm so happy to have found a stylish boot that I can wear in the rain and snow!! These definitely fit the bill. They are cute and extremely comfortable. I have also worn them in the rainy Pacific Northwest and they were perfect. Completely waterproof and much more attractive than traditional snow or rain boots!

These are the greatest boots I've owned since the Cole Haan ones I got in like 2009. I wore the heck out of those so I needed new ones and got these in brown because they were the only ones in the store. I can walk miles in these unlike any other shoes (including some sneakers) and they keep my feet dry and SO WARM. Buy them they're wonderful I've worn them almost every day since November.

I am very happy with these boots. They are attractive, comfortable and look great with just about anything. I am petite (5'3 / 115 lbs), with a relatively long torso (shorter/thicker legs). Given my size, I was concerned that these might hit too high on my shin, or that the size 7 I ordered would not be wide enough to accommodate jeans. I am very pleased that none of my concerns have been a problem. I wear these boots to work under skirts and with pants tucked in - both comfortably. Then I wear them out on the town. Love them. I would recommend them to anyone.

I love these boots. I wanted a pair of tall black boots with a low heel that I could wear with a variety of pants and leggings during the cold weather months. These boots were super comfortable right out of the box and I have worn them all day without any discomfort. I was a little worried about the wider calf because I like a slim-looking boot and don't have particularly large calves. The way the boots are constructed, with clever gores and stretchy material, they end up being very versatile in terms of fit. I can fit straight-leg jeans or slightly baggier yoga pants into them, but they still look sleek enough to wear with leggings. They get a bit dirty and salty in the winter but a quick wipe with a damp cloth cleans them right up. They are not the warmest boots in the world but are great for slipping on to run errands or go shopping. I wish the buckles had a little more pizazz but all in all this is a great boot. I normally wear an 8.5 but ordered the 9 based on previous reviews and they fit perfectly.

These boots arrived and are super comfortable and look great. I was worried that the circumference of the calf would be small, but there is a small stretch panel which fits my plus size leg. There is enough room to remove the inner sole and put my thin orthotic in as well. Very satisfied with my purchase so far.

I love these boots...bought them for a trip to New Mexico. They were great for hiking in the mountains. They gripped the rocks, were comfortable and I felt very stable walking in them. They fit good through the ankles (not bulky) and the suede extension tabs allow for enough room to wear over jeans. I did add a insole because I have high arches. I usually wear 6.5, but glad I went with a 7. I'm glad I made this purchase with Zappos! I had the boots the next day...awesome!

I recently purchased these boots after the winter obliterated my old pair of off-brand boots and I'm in LOVE. At first I wasn't sold on the more "rugged" look of the brown leather since it's not treated/shiny like my other riding boots, but they're really fantastic. I recently wore them during a rainy spring day all around NYC and had no issues with navigating the slick streets or walking for over 6 miles. It did require a bit of a break in period at the heel since these do fit better against the ankle/heel than most boots with a wider-ish calf, but it literally only took a day. Regardless of calf size (though athletic calf ladies will love these boots), if you're in the market for a great fitting boot that's flattering, will last you forever and will hold up against gross weather, look no further!

I really wanted a pair of these after seeing them in a store in SoHo NYC but they were all sold out in my size. After reading reviews that said you should order half a size up, I did and I'm glad I did so. It fits perfectly when worn with thick wool socks. Even if I wear thin socks, they still fit - it's just that I have a little extra wiggle room where my toes are but it's not such a drastic difference that it feels like I'm wearing clown shoes. Anyway here's my rating for these boots: Excellent comfort - these really do feel like the Teva Mush flip flops but in boot form. They are so comfortable even after walking around all day in town with them. Warm - they keep your feet warm even if you are wearing thin socks and the temperature outside is -20. Waterproof - the zipper opening is reinforced so that no water can get in. Stylish - winter boots that not only keep your feet warm, dry and comfortable but they are stylish too! This is a very well designed boot and worth every penny spent.

Love these boots. Other boots I had left me slipping and sliding in the snow and on ice. These work great. The treads grip well and the waterproofing means they don't get wet in the snow. I would definitely recommend them.

Tried these and the Teva Nopal for a backup, casual boot. This was a fine boot. The zipper and zipper pull seemed to be a little distracting and visible when looking head on. Comfortable. Ordered an 8 which fit with thin wool socks or cotton socks, and I wear a 7.5 in regular shoes. The size was perfect. Comfortable for walking. These are good if you buy one pair of tall boots. I have dressier tall riding boots and ultimately decided on the slightly more casual Nopal style from Teva. These are kind of middle of the road - dress up or down, and I decided I could go more casual as I already had a "dress up" pair. If you live in a wet area and need semi-dressy semi-casual tall boots, these would be a good choice.

As a fan of Teva products, I liked the quality of the leather and the general style of this boot. But for some reason it just didn't work for me. It came a bit lower on my leg than I wanted (almost mid-calf), which was probably just my bad in terms of picking the wrong style. But also, I ordered my normal size 8.5 and had a hard time getting my heel in passed the stiff heel piece in the back of the foot area. Once on, it felt fine, but I could have done with a 9. Also the zipper on the inside of the calf sort of wrapped a bit toward the front so that the tab was clearly visible when looking head-on. All minor things, but together its just adding up to the fact that I'm going to keep looking. Sadly, the boot goes back.

Although these felt comfortable and warm, the unfinished edges on the straps and somewhat strange way the straps attached to the boot made them seem too casual. Also, the ankle area seemed too loose despite the calf having a nice fit (mine are 16" and I was wearing skinny jeans). I was sad to return them, because I would have loved a pair of warm, waterproof leather boots. The search continues!

I like the style of these boots. Super cute! However, they are more narrow in the toe area than the Teva boots I got a couple of years ago and they are longer than the 7 1/2 I got a couple of years ago so my heel slides around, while my toes are a bit cramped. I really wanted them to work, but I'm going to have to send them back.

This is the best boot ever. I found it very early in 2016 by googling “best leather walking boot.” I ordered them, received them in the mail and promptly packed them in a suitcase and took them to Ireland. First wearing, I walking what seemed like 100 miles in rainy weather on slick, brick streets. Completely comfortable, no slipping on slick stones and no aching back or hips (which is my norm and I fully expected). Although leather, they’re waterproof and warm. I wore them relentlessly until hot summer weather made it ridiculous — only to bust them out again as soon as fall arrived. Now it’s a year and a half later and I’m scared to death they’ll stop making them. So I have bought a back-up black pair and am looking to add brown and maybe burgundy. My first pair is a little scuffed (but I am super rough on shoes), although a quick polish and buff makes them look great again. And I’d wear them if I had to duct tape them. On to the compliments: every single time I wear them people comment on them, even stopping me on the street. Folks are surprised that Teva makes boots and then that boots can be actually comfy and practical. These are the best boots I’ve ever worn. I hope they never stop making them. I adore them. My calves are pretty slender and they stand out from them a little, but they look great like that; I can’t explain it. I LOVE THESE BOOTS.
