OR Crocs are still the gold standard in the gaiter world. Love that the new colors available. Wore my last pair out after a decade of hard use, and these replacements seem just as good or better after a season of use.

I recently used these gaiters while participating in a Wilderness First Aid rescue program. Many of the assignments were done outside in sub-freezing snow conditions. The gathers helped to keep me warm and dry. Also they are very easy-on, easy-off.

Used all hunting season and held up great through the rugged Idaho terrain. Kept my boots dry through creek crossings and snow and muck out. Seriously the best gaiters money can buy.

These are my go-to for any hike. A perfect complement to boots. I use them to keep snow, dirt, pine needles, and rain out of the tops of my boots. The strap on the bottom is the first thing to wear out, but I typically get about 800-1000 miles before it fails. The extra burly fabric on the insides of the feet help with crampon punctures, but I still always manage to get a few right above where the fabric becomes thinner. These don't really fold up that neat, but I never really take them off so it doesn't seem to be an issue.

I work outdoors for a living and my OR Crocodile are a great addition to my field gear. 10 years and performance is as good as the day I got them. Bushwhacking, snowshoeing, devils club, water protection is amazing (I have crossed creeks near the top of my gaiters and not drop of water in my boots) Mud and snow protection, nothing gets in my boots while wearing my crocodiles. Laces never get covered in mud or snagged undoing my boots. My recommendation is bring the boots you will use to get a proper fit, snug fit to the key to keeping water out I wear size 11 boot and the (L) works best for me. These gaiter stand up and never ever fall down around your ankle like I've seen with other brands. So go get a pair you'll never be disappointed!

Best gaiters on the market. Pretty much the only ones our SAR volunteers and deputies use.

These gaiters are simple fantastic and essential for keeping feet dry when hunting in the Pacific North West! They are easy to put on, have plenty of adjustment, and I have had zero problems in the field. I have walked through 8-10 inch creeks and never got any water in my boots.

I bought these for my brother in law after an unbearable hunting trip during which he complained non-stop about his cold wet feet. He's a rather big dude and it was hard to find a pair of gaiters that fit, but the XXL size did the trick. If I don't have to hear him complain about his feet this year, it'll be worth every penny. Thanks OR!

I bought these gaiters in Fall of 2018 and probably put around 300 miles on them over the winter season. They were awesome and held up great until the plastic buckle at the top of the gaiter snapped on me. Thankfully it didn't end of my trip, but it could have if I were in more serious weather. True to form OR replaced them with a new pair as soon as I contacted them about the issue. Honestly I feel bad that they replaced them for free, because after 300 miles it seems reasonable that a plastic buckle would give out. If OR made the same gaiter with metal buckles, I would buy them in a heartbeat!

Well besides having a builtin coffee maker. But seriously, works great for keeping things out , staying dry and still not overly getting hot.

Same design for what, 30 years? Excellent. Now, IF Outdoor Research were asking me what could be improved, I would say 1.) Add a zipper in front so that the gaiter is aligned perfectly before engaging the Velcro. 2.) Consider using an even heavier strap (like old SMC crampon strap) and making it replaceable. The strap will get trashed LONG before the gaiter is worn out - not sure the upper gaiter will ever wear out.

I love these gaiters. They are recommended by every outdoor enthusiast I have asked about them and boy were they right. My last pair of Cabelas branded gaiter only lasted one elk hunting trip in CO but so far these have held up well and I expect quite a few years of service from them.

These are the best Gaitors made. Tried and true design, they withstand a beating and continue to last. Don't go with thin one, these will withstand walking through brush, sticks, rocks etc. Great product that has withstood the rigors of abuse.

These gaiters performed great in winter alpine conditions. Their toughness inspires confidence in the workmanship but they are light enough that I actually forgot I was wearing them. Most importantly they stayed in place without cutting off circulation to my feet. I spent a long weekend climbing mountains, snowshoeing and XC skiing and these gaiters held up to it all. The only downside I noticed was in the breathe-ability. It's not that they don't breathe at all but they don't seem to breathe very quickly. Granted I tend to sweat pretty heavily but I noticed that my shins were sweaty at the top of a mountain in February with 40 mph winds. Any potential body-heat loss was prevented by the fact that they're windproof so all things considered it was a pretty minor issue. As someone who is pretty rough on their gear I would recommend these gaiters.

I wasn't too sure what to expect of these gaiters, but they have succeeded my expectations. I wore them recently on mountaineering and ice climbing on Mount Washington, and they felt so comfortable I totally forgot I was wearing them. They successfully protected my pants when poked by my crampons, and seemed to block the wind and keep my calves a little warmer. They recommended size fit over my mountaineering boots perfectly (La Sportiva Nepal Extreme) and did not interfere with my crampons whatsoever. I think this size would also work fine with larger plastic boots by adjusting the bottom strap, but I did not try it. Only downside is that the gaiters trap moisture if you are sweating (such as when rucking up the mountain), but that is to be expected and I would simply remove them for such activities. They are quick any easy to put on and take off so it's a non-issue.

Great fitting gaiters! I have big calves and most simply don't fit, or end up fishmouthed when you try to close them. These closed up perfectly and kept the snow and mud off of my lower pant legs and out of the tops of my boots. Easily one of the best purchases for my mountain hunting trip in early March that I could have made. Expect these to be very durable given their substantial construction.

I have wanted a pair of these gaiters for over 10 years. Finally took the plunge and never going back. Once I set them up the first time, It was a breeze to put back on multiple times thereafter. Worked exactly as I hoped for an better. I highly recommend these for anyone interested in adventuring out in wet/cold/snowy conditions. They are amazing!!!

Easy to put on. Also keeps the snow from going down into my favorite winter hiking boots. Which is important since it is annoying to have wet feet.
