This is my 2nd Montreal coat. I love the length and the fit. It's fluffy but not bulky. Gotten many compliments on the lovely purple color.

This is a beautiful and warm coat, but the arm length runs short so I'll be returning it.

Have had this jacket for a month now. It's warm in sub zero temps and has a soft inner fleece layer. Two inside pockets and two outside pockets. However, the down feathers keep poking out of the jacket. Hopefully it stops after a few more months.

Nice but very slim cut. 5'2" and 125 lbs, ordered a medium and this jacket was very tight.

I just received the Montreal Coat and I love the features. However, I am deciding if this coat will be returned. I tried on a Large and the length was good, but the shoulders were snug. I did size up and order XL( I am usually 10-12), this coat is way too long. My husband said it looks like I am wearing a sleeping bag. I am 5'5" and it is all most mid calf.

Exceptionally warm- would love if the fur was real. Fit was as expected. I wear 6 & 8. Ordered Medium perfect fit. Good value for price

This was a good purchase for me and is keeping me warm in a very cold Kansas City December. I think the length is perfect. The zipper seems a little clunky and cheap, like it may not last as long as the coat will.

Comfortable, but runs small. Have worn Marmot coats for years and ordered the same size as I've worn. This coat was too small, had to return unfortunately.

It keeps me warm during Chicago winter! I love how the hoodie also covers my cheeks, so that I wouldn't get any wind burns. Another thing why I like this parka is because the sleeves are not too tight that I could wear my apple watch comfortably and I can see the time. The only downside is feathers would come out of it every now and then :(

I am reviewing for fit, not for warmth, as it hasn't gotten cold enough to test that out yet. Hoping my review helps others of a similar size make a decision. I ordered the small. I was actually torn between the small and extra small and am definitely glad that I didn't go for the XS. I'm 5' 3'' 120 lbs. I'm usually a 4P clothing size. The coat is a little narrow...it felt tight as I put my arms in--not the diameter of the arms themselves, but the narrow cut of the coat. I was worried that it would be too tight across the shoulders. It's "okay," but could be a little roomier. It's also a bit tight in the boob department, so if you're a bigger than average (32E), keep that in mind. I won't return it for a medium, as the arms are a good length and it seems like a nice coat as long as I don't wear very thick clothing underneath (and hopefully it will be warm enough that I won't have to!). Also the color is not what it appeared to be on my screen. I was expecting a dark reddish, but this is sort of a wine color, leaning toward purple.

I loved this coat and wished I could've kept it! I have long arms and the sleeves were not long enough. It was soft, warm, cute, and functional. Just wish the sleeves had been a bit longer but if you have more average proportions you'll probably be fine. I'm 5'9 135lbs, and the M fit other than the sleeves.

I liked this coat, but unfortunately I didn't like it enough to keep it. The good: Loved the fleece lining, fleece cuffs, removable fur and hood, and the 2 interior pockets and external handwarmer pockets. It's also decently stylish and lightweight. Can't comment on its warmth since I returned it before testing it outside. The bad: The outer material felt delicate and I was concerned about its durability and possible snags. I Geocache as a hobby, and sometimes this brings me in the woods with pricker bushes and tree branches, so I need a coat with more durable fabric. Also, the sleeves were a little short for my liking. It fit well everywhere else, but short sleeves are a deal breaker for me. I ordered a Large. For reference, I have a 38 inch bust, 29 inch waist, 41 inch hips. Usually a size 8 in jeans, M bottoms. I went with the Fjallraven Nuuk instead. If you have shorter arms, or don't spend a lot of time in the woods like I do, the Marmot Montreal is a keeper.

Don’t size up. Go with your normal size. Cute, but I liked the less puffy style of marmot strollbridge better for my body size/type (41, 31, 41).

I usually have chronic shoppers remorse (I hate to spend money and I turmoil over every purchase), but I'm really happy with this choice. It is soft and lightweight, but kept me very warm during a trip to Oregon this winter. I love the option to zip from the bottom of the coat. It makes hiking and running around (or getting in the car) really easy. I have already gotten a lot of compliments on it. As for the zipper complaints, I don't have many. The zipper seemed tricky at first, until I realized I just needed to be patient making sure both zippers are snugly on before pulling up. Minus 1 Star Because: I notice just a bit of the down is coming out near the seams and I've had this coat for only 2-3 weeks (with daily wear on long hikes). I will keep my eye on that to make sure it doesn't get worse. Love faux fur, but wish the quality of the fur was a bit better. Its very obviously faux and looks a little "eh." I wonder how it will stand up to getting wet (I hate the matted up fake fur, ya know?) Sizing: I'm 5' about 110 lbs and the XS fits really well. Plenty of room for a sweater, but not too big at all. As a short lady, I always look like I'm in a garbage bag in big coats, but the shape of this long coat is very flattering. Thanks Marmot.

This coat runs on the small side. I'm 5'5", approximately 142#'s and have normally worn medium. My REI down jacket is medium and I can wear vests, sweaters without feeling tight. The Marmot, medium, fits fine with a light shirt, but quite snug with a sweater or sweatshirt. The zipper is too small in relation to the cut of the jacket. The warmth is great, love the hood, but think the faux fur is unnecessary.

I ordered one size up as recommended and the fit was a bit on the larger side for my taste. The material seemed sturdy, waterproof and very well made. The only problem was the horrendous zipper! I couldn’t even get it to zip up to see the fit - I could only snap it closed. Sorry - this is a deal breaker and going back.

Tight around the hip. I wear a size 12/14 and the XL was too tight. Also can't wear a sweater with this coat.

My new coat has small feathers sticking through the fabric in many places. The white feathers are sharp and poke through the thin fabric. I'm not sure if this is a fluke but I'm returning since the coat will always shed feathers and eventually will lose warmth. I am really surprised that a coat that costs so much would have this issue. I'm returning it.

I bought this exact coat before and it was perfect but this time it's not so good. It wasn't sewn well, all bunchy on the bottom.Too tight on the chest even though I got a size larger. It's like who ever made it didn't follow the pattern. Also the feathers keep coming out. It doesn't look good on me but since I had no other coat and it was cold I wore it. Very disappointed. Don't think I would take a chance on this brand again, They aren't cheap
