This is the best coat I've ever had by far! Keeps me nice and warm and I love the fleece cuffs around the wrists so that air doesn't come up through the sleeves. It's really nice and long (reaches my knees), so it's warmer than any other coat I've ever had (I find that they usually only come to mid thigh even when they are supposed to be long). My favorite thing about it is that despite being super warm, it's not super bulky and doesn't make me feel like the Michelin Man when I wear it! Love this purchase and love Zappos!

This coat ended up arriving the day before the temperatures dropped to the single digits. Standing outside in the cold waiting for the bus, I didn't feel a bit of the cold at all. Every part of me that was covered by this jacket completely isolated my body from the winds and chilly temperatures. The hood with the fur lining was a little oversized, so I could only see down. But if I remove the fur lining it fits fine. And honestly when it's that cold, trading line of sight for warmth is worth it.

This is the warmest parka I have ever worn and love it! On days when it is only 20F out, I can go out in a tshirt and this parka and be warm. Just wish it accommodated my hips a little more. Had to go one size up from my usual to be able to zip it up.

I love it I love it but.....the zipper is quite sensitive and a bit annoying to get started. Unless it is lined up perfectly I can spend a few minutes just trying to get it to zip. Probably just a fluke with this one coat. Otherwise, perfect.

Beautiful in Navy and SOOOOO warm. It's like wearing a sleeping bag. But doesn't feel frumpy...There is still some shape. I'm 5'8 and 130 pounds...Small was too mall. medium was perfect without feeling like i'm swimming in it

I love my new parka. I have been researching for a while because it is a big purchase. I was trying to decide between this one and one from North Face. I love the length of this one, I am 5'5 and it comes almost down to my knees. The inside of the jacket is warm and fuzzy. The outer pockets are very deep. It is very warm. No problems with feathers so far. I like the removable hood. I am 115lbs and the small fits snuggly, I better not gain weight lol.

So happy with my new warm winter jacket! I debated between the Montreaux and the Patagonia Down With It. I chose this one since the down density was higher (700 fill vs Patagonia's 600 fill). It keeps me so cozy now that the weather has become more consistently cold. I wasn't sure what size to get since reviews kept talking about how small this coat runs, so I went to a store and tried on the S and M. I am 5'4", 120 lbs and wear size S. I don't think I would've noticed the sizing difference while trying on if reviews hadn't kept mentioning it. I don't think the sizing is so dramatically smaller that it changes a whole size and have found the S very comfortable. I can see that the circumference around the chest is a tad smaller but it hasn't made a difference to me since I am not busty. The longer length is so nice to have! It reaches my knees and keeps my whole body that much warmer. So much warmer than my last winter jacket, I'm looking forward to keeping this one for as many years its warmth will last!

Love, love, love! It's sooooo light, soft and warm. I live in Chicago so the length is perfect for our crazy winters, no more freezing knees and thighs! I'm 5'9" and it comes down just over my knees. I think it fits true to size overall. It has a removable hood that actually covers a lot of head, 2 interior pockets, 2 soft lined exterior pockets and you can get in and out of the car easily even though it's long. I'm very happy with this purchase! Thanks for the rocket fast shipping Zappos!

I bought a size Small first, but needed to exchange for a medium. Thank you Zappos for this easy exchange. Bought for my daughter, 135 pounds, 5ft 4inches.

I ordered this and the Marmot Chelsea coat, and despite being less fitted, this coat looked far more flattering, while also being extremely comfortable and warm (although I haven't been able to test it in actual cold weather yet). I like how long it is, and really appreciate the fleece lining in the body of the coat, as well as behind the zipper on the part that touches your face. I'm 5'7", 140 lb and the medium fit great. I think some other reviewers mentioned the hood fit oddly, but I found it to fit perfectly.

I purchased the Marmot to replace a North Face coat that I felt was not warm enough - particularly when out walking the dog. The Marmot has more filling and also has a fleece lining up by the shoulders that makes it even better. The cut of the coat is slimmer than the North Face and just a touch snug but overall great!

The reviews said that this jacket ran small, but I did not find that it did. I am 5'7" with an athletic build, and I got the medium but it is a little big for my liking. It is an extremely warm coat. I wore it to a night time football game in 20 ° windy weather and I was warm all night. The down does not budge from this coat either, I have not seen one feather come through the fabric of the coat. The fleece lining is perfect, and there are a lot of pockets, the inside pockets are deep and zip which I liked. The hood is adorable! It is definitely worth the price.

I spent last winter trying to get warm! My northface was old and tired and just wouldn't do the trick. I thought about taking the steep financial plunge on a Canada goose but then tried one on and didn't find it comfortable so I began reading as much as I could about other down coats. The marmot seemed to fit my needs, so I ordered it. I usually take a large in coats but based on the reviews of it running a bit small I ordered the XL and I'm glad I did. The fit is very nice with room for a heavy sweater. I really love the lining and length. I can't speak to how warm I will be as we haven't hit those cold NY temperatures yet, but, it feels as if it will do the trick! As always, ordering from Zappos was a great experience, they make it so easy and quick!

This coat is it! I walk through Chicago downtown every morning and evening on my way to and from work, and it seems like that freezing wind is always always in my face, no matter where I turn! So I was looking for a warm down coat that would keep me warm without thousands of bulky layers underneath, and also the one that is light and comfortable enough to walk in for extended periods of time, breathable (once I warm up walking) - and, of course, more or less stylish and streamlined. I am absolutely in love with this coat! It was about 20 degrees when I first wore it, with some wind. I wore just one light layer (silk sweater) underneath - and I was toasty warm! The wind did NOT go through this coat anywhere! From my experience wearing other down coats, I know that this coat will definitely withstand much lower temps and higher windshield with no problem - it has plenty of light fluffy down in it and it's not flimsy (like Marmot's Toronto jacket). The coat looks very streamlined, it has a nice waist, does not look like a down comforter on you. I like longer length, which hits me right under my knee (I am 5'6"). Light fleecy lining in the back and chest area is very soft, you'll find it inside the collar and around wrists as well. Pockets are deep, comfortably positioned at a diagonal, fleece-lined as well. Cover material is soft, matte, not "crinkly". The adjustable hood kept my head very warm as well. I would change only 2 things. Marmot's logo is quite visible, it's positioned on the left side of the chest area, done in contrasting stitching. I would prefer it shown more discreetly, perhaps, on the sleeve and in matching stitching. Faux fur around the hood is pretty cheap looking, unfortunately. I will have to take it off, it can be unzipped.

I'm in NY, where the winters have been getting colder and colder with each passing year. I was looking for a coat that would keep me warm in our 17 degree temps. I decided to give Marmot a try. I compared two coats: the toronto and the montreaux. The both boast 700 power fill, with down defender. The Montreaux beat the Toronto hands down. In fact, it was no competion. The Toronto is a better looking coat with its slim profile and belt. But its not looks i'm after. Its more of a packable down coat which means THIN and not much fill. The Montreaux, even with one less layer, kept me warm and cozy! Its not the most flattering fit--the chest area is really wide, and it has lots of fill. But if its warmth your after, this is your coat!

Great quality very warm coat! The warm mocha color is great too. I ordered the medium from Zappos because they didn't have small and it's too big but I found the coat in a small and love it. Very warm in sub-10 degree weather. The hood and collar part that zips around your chin/face are just right. The cuffs and fleece lining are also great. I tried on many brands of down coats and the Marmot seems like the best quality, although slightly bulkier. Also the shoulder area is a little tight in the small. I am 5'3" and 125#, 34B and a slightly muscular build. The coat hits right at my knee which is what I was looking for.

An absolute keeper. I had bought a slightly cheaper version, but I could no get this Marmot one off my mind. I finally broke down and ordered it and there was no comparison to any competitors. It is so warm, the perfect length (just past my knees, I am 5'3"), and manages to look stylish - not an easy feat for a long parka! I am 5'3" and 130 pounds, and the small is a perfect fit (the medium I tried on in a store was not nearly as figure flattering). It is so warm and cozy.

The coat is just what I wanted and expected. It is extremely warm, great for the coldest days of winter in January and February. In fact I wore this one some mid-30 degree days in December and was almost too warm! The coat does fit a little bit more snug than expected, so you may want to order a size up.

This is the warmest coat I've ever owned! In addition to the 700 fill down, the body and sleeve cuffs are polar fleece. The fake fur hood ruff (which I don't really like the looks of) zippers off and the hood looks perfect without it. The zipper, which can be a little temperamental to start, goes way up to draw the hood in for maximum neck and chin protection. The perfect coat when I go to Chicago. The zipper also isn't totally straight but I don't think anyone notices but me.

I realized this winter -- a really cold one in New England -- that my warmest winter clothing needed refreshing/replaced. The Marmot Women's Strollbridge Parka was 10 years old and pretty tired. I chose the Montreaux because of its longer profile and down fill. Love it. It is a good choice anyone, I think. It is stylishly flattering too. Thanks Marmot.

Tried so many insulated long jackets that dont feel right, look big and bulky and have no true insulation. This one is great and its in Petite size!!! The best! Would be it again. Perfect length for 51 which hits below the knee but not too long and very nice quality

The style and fit is great but the sleeves seem just a tad short. It's warm but I wouldn't say it fits in the warmest category for Midwest winters. But I'm always cold so if I don't return it, I'll plan to wear layers under it as needed.

TL;DR: I bought this coat in 2017. Amazingly warm coat. In 2025 the zipper failed. Marmot sent a replacement. It is a completely inadequate coat with no insulation. I bought this coat in 2017 after a LOT of research. I was making a big investment and wanted something that was going to be warm for cold Michigan winters and last me a long time. At the time, the coat got great independent ratings and reviews. I loved everything about this coat - the hood, cinch strings, fleece lining, pockets, fit and style and I was always very warm!! I wore it all the time, in the coldest of temps and never once was cold. I couldnt be more happy with it. With Marmots excellent customer service snd warranty, I turned into a life-long brand loyalist. Winter 2024-2025 the zipper failed. Marmot customer service was amazing and responsive and while I asked for a repair, they sent a replacement coat. I was thrilled!! The new coat arrived (same style and size, different color) and I couldnt be more disappointed. I still love all the features, style, fit, color. But there hardly any insulation. In spots, there is essentially nothing between the two thin pieces of nylon fabric. I could get better protection from a sweatshirt and it does nothing to protect from the cold. The wind cuts right through - which was never my experience with my original coat. The exterior fabric also feels very fragile and exceptionally thin. To make sure I wasnt imagining things, I folded both my coats in the same way to compare. You can see the difference - the blue one is the one they sent me in 2025. There is hardly any down in it. Marmot - please put the insulation back into your coats. I wish I could just get my old coat fixed. Now I have a new and old coat that are both unusable. Im now shopping for a new coat from a different brand. Save your money and dont get this coat. It sadly is no longer worth the premium price.

Love the coat! Its my new go-to for cold weather. Its warm and comfortable and a little longer than other coats, hits right above the knee. I ordered a size larger since it is more fitted (I usually wear a small but sized up to medium).
