I live in Minnesota where we hit sub-zero temps. I own a Marmot full length parka that is perfect for Minnesota Winter. When I received this coat in the mail, I knew Marmot was my company. When it says 800 for downfill, it feels like 800. I stepped out onto my deck when it was 10 degrees out and this was just toasty, ya. Fit is perfect for my body type. I am 5'9" 180lbs. Swimmer build. Hard to find a coat that fits my shoulders without big gaps in the mid-torso. I ordered an XL and it fit very well. I ordered 8 different down (short)coats. Northface, Kuhl, Columbia, Lole...I'm on a tight budget so I was looking for economical and practical for my needs. You are getting a quality product with Marmot. This coat is great! This coat will stay on my wish list. I decided, for my needs, I am going to look for a lighter 600 downfill. I'm having a hard time putting it back in the box for return. Had it been navy blue or a denim blue color, I might have just kept it.

I bought this coat to go a cruise through New England and Canada in October. Perfect! Warm and light weight.

I love this jacket. I am petite, and I really appreciate the adjustability of the velcro cuffs. The double zipper is wonderful, as well. I like this jacket so well, I have three of them. I have a bright green, a cobalt blue, and a black one. I think the honey comb effect of the way the baffles are sewn provide a unique look. Mine are mediums so I can layer a sweater under them, so I can take them off when I go to a restaurant or a movie. I highly recommend this jacket.

I love this jacket. Its very light weight. But very very warm. When the weather is in the 40s I can wear just a t-shirt with it and be just fine. Only complaint is minimal feathers started coming out after about the 3rd wear and it's not my everyday jacket.

I bought this jacket in a small as I have another Marmont Windstopper jacket that's a small and it fits great. I wanted a down jacket and this looked great. When I received it I realized I needed a medium so I could wear layers under it, so I ordered the medium so I could compare and decide. I ordered them both in red, a pretty color but not really for me. I just received the medium jacket today and it does fit fine; however, on closer examination and looking closely at these jackets I realized you can see the feathers through the red fabric of the jacket. This may sound picky, but paying this much for a jacket I want to love the way it looks as well as the way that it feels. I ended up returning both of them. I will keep searching. Thanks to Zappos for making returns so easy.

I just received the jacket, discovered that it had clearly been worn before!! There were no manufacturer's tags and the inside showed wear on the care labels. Wow, I thought Zappos had more integrity than that, but I guess I was wrong. I doubt I shop Zappos again.
