Great jacket. I usually wear a Med or Lg in Patagonia, the large was too boxy/bulky for me. The medium fit great except the armpit area was too tight for me. Wish I could keep it. The grey color is great!

I have been looking for a parka like this for a very long time. It's stylish, warm, versatile, and exceedingly well made. The fit is flattering and I love that the liner can be worn as a jacket on its own. The perfect coat for traveling when you're not sure what the weather is going to be. One caution, though. Believe all the reviews that say it runs small. I'm 5'10" and 130 lbs. and most often wear a size 8, sometimes a 10. I first ordered the medium, but had to return it for the large -- which fits perfectly!

I love this coat! Both layers together are quite warm, each layer individually, for me, is good for temps in the 40s and 50s F, depending on how I've layered. The shell is waterproof and has a good hood, so works great as a raincoat. The fit is slim and attractive. It's not a loose sporty fit, so could be tight over extremely bulky layers. My very thickest chunky fishermans style sweater just barely works under this coat. The slim fit does make the coat looks more stylish than a similar raincoat or parka does. I am 5'7" and ~138lbs and the small fits me great. The medium was far too long in the sleeves and big through the shoulders and bust. The sleeves on the small are the perfect length for me--not too short like other jackets that fit me through the body. All around, I highly recommend this jacket. It's the only 3-in-1 jacket I've had where I use all 3 styles roughly equally. PERFECT jacket for travel. The only thing I wish it had was an interior chest pocket on just the shell. The lining has one, but not the shell, so it doesn't have a chest pocket when the shell is worn alone.

Bought this for my daughter online sight unseen. It turned out to be a huge success. Knowing from other reviews that it seemed to run small, I opted for the larger size which fit perfectly.

This jacket is amazing. I normally wear a small or medium and I was a medium in this: I'm 5'7 and weigh 138. I've been trying to find a new jacket for months. I wanted something washable, fitted, not bulky, warm, and wearable for slightly dressy to casual situations. This is perfect! I didn't want to spend this much, but after trying about 20 jackets this fall - this is the one! Zappos was out of the black in my size when I ordered, so I went with the blueblack. I'm very happy with the color. There is a light variegation to the fabric on the outer shell that gives it a richer look. And the blue works well with everything from jeans, to black pants to khakis. Looks great with all shades of riding boots as well. Both the shell and quilted under layer are well designed and made: stitching is perfect and everything is very even! I'm picky!

This is an amazing winter coat. After the polar vortex last year I decided I needed to invest in a warmer coat for this winter. It has only dropped into the teens a few times so far this year, but the coat kept me toasty on those cold days. The waterproofing on the coat is also excellent at keeping me dry. I love how lightweight and trim it is for a down jacket. I used to have a big puffy down coat and this is remarkably lighter and more slim fitting. Overall - love it!

I had to size up two sizes because I have a large chest and there is no room for the girls, if yours are more than a B. The dark version is very trendy and the light version looks like canvas which is really cool.

This was an awesome purchase. Chicago has been as cold as negative 40 this year and I needed something that did not have down feathers (allergic), had a hood and was long enough to cover my thighs. I'm 5 feet tall and wear a size 4- so I ordered this jacket in a small. IT IS PERFECT! The material is not too thick and the jacket has a nice fitted look. I actually look and feel good walking around downtown, and I'm warm which is the most important!

Cut very small. I am 5'6" and 115 lbs. If you wear a sweater under the coat, it is too tight. A larger size I'm sure the arms would be too long.

This is an attractive, functional, and flexible coat. I agree with another reviewer that it is not a super warm - I do not think it was meant to be. Think of it as a light-weight, sporty trench with a liner. The liner is adorable on its own - very shapely and super light. I am tall and slender but have broad shoulders, so while my shoulders might be happier in the size L, I am keeping the M, which looks better. I find this coat is more flattering and has more shoulder room than several other trenches that I have tried: Patagonia Arborist, North Face Stella Grace, and Marmot Destination. I was fortunate enough to get the dark grey with pink liner on sale - great colors! This coat is functional all year round in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I waited until the sale to make the investment and given that I have just come in from an hour in the cold sleet and rain, yet I am warm and dry tells me I made a great choice! I can now say it was well worth the purchase. It won't keep you warm in sub freezing, but I was totally warm and dry in 32 degree temps and best of all, it doesn't weigh anything so it I felt light and not weighed down by a bulky parka. Does run fitted so I sized up to a large when normally I am a medium. I can wear it to work or dog walking. A fabulous investment!

I really liked the look of this coat, the warmth and the light weight. But the "slim fit" is only comfortable over a thin shirt or baselayer, there's no room for the thick shirt and blazer I wear to work in the winter. The tag indicated that Patagonia offers 4 fits -- formfitting, slim (this coat), regular and relaxed. For the layers I wear, I'd need a regular or relaxed fit. I thought about ordering the next larger size, but then the arms would be way too long. :(

I loved the way this coat looked, felt, the way it was built, and the way it fit. It was slightly big (I'm 5'2", 105lbs), but even so I thought it was flattering. The color was also beautiful. The only reason I am rating it low is because it was not warm enough, and that was the main reason I purchased it. My arms and core were cold, and plenty of cold air got under it, causing my upper thighs to be cold. The hood did not stay on over my hat, and overall I was cold in this brutal Chicago winter.

Coat was not warm enough. It was only 30 degrees today but with the windy and the freezing rain it felt like it was 19 degrees. This jacket didn't hold up. I'm 5'6, 135 lbs (130 on a good day) and a small fit perfect. I bought this jacket so I could take off some of my layers and stay warm. I walk dogs so I'm outside for hours and this coat was cold. It didn't keep me warm. I wasn't freezing but it was clear this coat wasn't holding up. I could go to a size medium and then I would be able to have a hoodie underneath, but then that would defeat the purpose of buying this coat. Love the style and how I was able to move freely. I would keep it, but for the money it better do everything that I want.

Wanted to love this coat, but I didn't. Very bulky with the lining in. Arms were way too long for a 5'2" woman. But the main reason for the return was, I didn't like any of the three possibilities, liner coat, just the raincoat or raincoat with liner.
